We LOVE our bikes. My husband and I purchased these as Christmas gifts for each other, but living in Saskatchewan we did not expect to get to use them until Spring. Surprisingly we've had a mild winter and we have used the bikes a TON! I have the Leisure Step and my husband has the Blade 2, both with fat tires. We live in the country and these bikes handle amazing on the icy gravel roads we have to ride on. The battery life is great as well.we've been driving them in colder (-5C) conditions and with pedal assist the battery life barely goes down. We've been very impressed all around.

Rize bikes are recommended: I replaced the more comfortable seat and a suspension post and than added the rear camera.so far so good and the batteries last a long time. Always room to add the extra goodies

Bought this beautiful rize x before summer and had a good time the whole summer. Needed to replace the break pads few weeks ago, so i bought them from Rize but unfortunately i threw away the old breakpad springs/retainers. I contacted customer service and they gladly sent me new springs/ retainers for the breakpads free of charge. Amazing customer service!

I love my Rize MD, but it all of a sudden just died. This was a surprise to me and to the techs at Rize, but they were great when it comes to dealing with all of the warranty stuff. Turns out it was a simple case of a couple of wires wedged between the frame and motor and shorting things out. Rize was great in sending me the parts to fix it. The techs are spot on and very quick to reply to emails. I would definitely buy another Rize as the above issue can happen to any eBike during the assembly process. Definitely in my experience Rize is 5 Star when it comes to customer service and help.

I purchased a Rize Bolt (step over - foldable) bike in April. I have been riding it 60 km a day to work and back. Amazing gear ratio - the battery last the full way. Easy to get on (I have limited lateral movement in my hips) easy to get off. Overall an amazing bike (I am 64 so can't do the big bikes anymore). Many friends have taken a tour on my bike so may be more sales in the future! I had one problem with my bike - the odometer was reading 33% more kms above what I was actually travelling and travel speed as well. One quick email to the support desk and voila I had my answer. Kevin explained that I needed to go to my manual and ensure my odometer was programmed to the correct tire size. My bike has a 20 inch regular tire and the program was set for 27.5 inch - now it all makes sense. Road again today to work and back and the odometer is dead on for speed and distance. Thank you Kevin! I also learned that there are many other items I can change - on example I reset the odometer to zero so I can start all over with accurate data. Read your manual! I love my Rize Blade 2 E-Bike! It gives me so much more access to the city that I live in. I’ve also had a spectacular experience with the customer service team at Rize Bikes. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure that my experience is grade A. I always recommend them to people when they ask about my E-Bike. 5 stars all the way!

Bought a Rize Fixie this August after a lot of online shopping and education. After seeing the wide variety of e-bikes, I decided I wanted an e-bike that looked like a ‘normal’ bike. I also wanted as light an ebike as I could afford. Those two things narrowed my range a lot. When I focused on a couple more features, like an internal battery, disc brakes, and a belt drive, several other contenders dropped out. I finally decided to get the Rize Fixie, in spite of the inapt name. It’s pretty light for an under $2,000 ebike at 34 lbs and there’s very little in the styling or features that suggest e-bike
.

In that sense, it is very much a Fixie, a minimalist ebike. As I’ve ridden my Fixie and gotten a chance to compare it to a somewhat similar ebike, I’ve come to think of it as my ‘bike’ ebike. It asks a bit more from me, from a slight lag on the PAS kicking in, to relatively low PAS assistance at the lower levels. And that’s most often what I want, a more physical interaction with the bike and the road. It gives me the very real pleasure of a bike, with the assistance I need to make a ride fun and energizing.

If your main interest is the ‘e’ in ebike, this may not be the bike for you, although its power and simplicity may appeal to you. If you are someone like me, not a vigorous bicyclist anymore, but dubious about the ebike trend, this is a great choice.

Most of my rides, so far, are 5-8 miles in town. The Fixie handles like a city bike, nimble and responsive. At low PAS settings, the boost is subtle and it acts to complement and stabilize my pedaling. My town is fairly hilly as it rises from the bay shore to the foothills and the Fixie has no problems on even steep hills. That’s where the single speed belt drive and PAS combine so brilliantly, with the seamless adjustment of the PAS level substituting for shifting mechanical gears to conquer hills.

I had bought two kit bicycles with positive results in the past, so I made my color choice, pressed the button, and started waiting. The Fixie shipped quickly and arrived quickly. It was well packed and very easy to put together. No harder than the mechanical bikes, actually. I was riding the Fixie that evening and was immediately pleased with what a big difference the hub motor made. It’s nearly silent and the pedal cadence sensor doesn’t overwhelm my pedaling until PAS 4. PAS 5 is very strong, like a superpower for hill climbing or getting up to speed on a straightaway.

Something I did not fully comprehend about kit e-bikes is the potential for something to go wrong with the electronics or battery. Unfortunately, after a week my Fixie wouldn’t turn on. This is when you want to know the ebike company can offer proper warranty support and Rize did so. Their techs worked with me via email and phone to diagnose the problem and replace the component. They reacted promptly at every stage and the replacement parts arrived in two days. That’s the service you want when you don’t have a local bike shop. I’m actually rather grateful I learned so much about my electrical system—it’s no longer a mystery to me!

With my Fixie back in commission, I’ve been comparing it to the other ebike that snuck into my garage while it was awaiting parts, and finding I enjoy the two bikes in very different ways. That’s what has led me to consider the Fixie to be my workout bike, my fun and easy bike. You want simple and easy? Check. Want a stylish ‘bicycle’ look that won’t give you away? Check. Want a bit of a workout, without feeling wiped out? This is the bike.

I am 75 years old and purchased a Rize Fixie in May after having my knee replaced in early May. Riding 14 to 16 km every day was great therapy for my knee and the Fixie forced me to work on the hills. I love the bike but after 1200 km in October it stopped working. Phoned Rize bikes who walked me through how to diagnose the problem. I chose to take it to a bike shop as I was confused with the electronics. Rize sent the necessary parts to the bike shop for installation. Even though it was my choice to use the bike shop Rize sent the parts to them and reimbursed most of the labour cost to me. I’m thrilled to be back on my beloved Fixie thanks to excellent customer service from Rize bikes.

I was having some warrenty worthy problems so I emailed rize bikes and had a reply immediately followed up by top notch service. I highly recommend the rize rx pro. I use my bike for daily comuting in Ontario Canada and light trail riding.

I didn't want to update my rating until I knew my bike was good. I now have about 1000km on the bike sense I had my issues.

In the beginning of the year I had massive problems with my bike. A lot of issues with the torque destroying my frame and bike. I went back and forth with rize bikes. But they kept on going through with me and fixed at no cost. Gave me the parts to replace the entire rear frame which was the issue at no extra cost. Of course when you buy things online you have to fix it yourself especially sense a lot of bike shops don't quite yet want to help with new emerging technogies yet. However despite not being able to go to a bike shop rize bikes did the best they could do from a remote position and I am very confident in the support they can provide even in an outlier case like mine. It gives me a lot more confidence buying from them again and I have. This time with a bike that had no issues.

I don't know if there support was always great. But I had experienced great service in 2022 giving me lots of confidence to keep buying bikes from them. They quite possibly did all they could do from a remote position to fix my issues and we're very helpful.

I am a happy customer that has been able to move down from 2 to 1 cars in our family thanks to the blade 2.

We ordered two Rize Leisure bikes this fall. We received them within a week. Easy assembly. We had a broken water bottle holder. Rize mailed a new one right away. Great customer service! We love our bikes. Good quality bikes at a reasonable price!

Good info before I bought the bike, polite and informative rep that I spoke with. Just received my Rize x, assembly not hard but for certain things small hands and fingers would have been helpful (joke). The only issue I had was installing the rack, not a perfectly manufactured fit but all was good in the end. Took my first ride today and Loved it! Very responsive bike and lots of fun to ride. I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time having fun with this bike! The reps were very helpful and answered the few questions I had after assembly. Great job to you at Rize bikes Canada

Loved my Rize X for about two years until the controller burnt out and the battery stopped holding a charge. Rize offered to sell replacement parts, $130 for the controller and $750 for the battery. The techs were all very nice, they said that their controllers are usually only good for 2-4 years and the battery is a consumable item (like a tire or brake pad) and is expected to fail after a period of time. Three stars because honestly the bike was fun when it worked. Thanks for two fun years Rize.

Thanks for the response but I’m definitely NOT a satisfied customer. I shouldn’t be expected to spend $880 every two years to keep my bike running. Would NOT recommend buying Rize unless you plan on replacing major components frequently.

Was sold a secondary battery with the bike that didn't work from the get-go. Sought support from day one and was given a 3 month, 30+ email thread runaround where I was expected to troubleshoot my own issues including taking multiple videos proving my issues and purchasing a volt meter to take readings for them. It seems they would rather have me diagnose their battery for them instead of taking a return and dealing with the technicals themselves. The head lamp has a dead LED in it where it won't turn off. The back rack broke the second time I used the bike and they said it wasn't covered. Overall just a horrific experience.

My husband bought me a City Bike for my 81st and I bought him one for his 80th. We are having such fun and using them more often for short trips when we would normally take the car. This company has excellent customer service - we are impressed.

Got the RX last week. Very happy with the performance, but battery retention is not as advertised.

The bikes minimum suggested range is 50km. After 30-ish km the bike became sluggish. I only got to 45km on assist 1 before the bike died completely. I had to pedal this 70lbs machine back home with no power, which was not pleasant. I can’t imagine what the range would be if I were to use a higher assist level.

When I purchased this bike it had ECO/SPORT mode advertised, but when I received it I couldn’t access this function. I emailed Rize and they told me that Bafang omitted this ECO/Sport modes and only has hybrid mode now. I wish I was informed prior to buying a $4000 bike. They told me there’s no fix to this range issue because Bafang switched the system. They should’ve tested these bikes and know what they are selling before they sell it.

I really wanted to love this bike, but I can’t even ride on the same trail as my wife because my bike loses power way before hers does.

10/25/21 response to owner - I have already contacted your support. I have provided you guys with all the details you need including pictures of my trail and my biometrics. Rize basically told me there’s nothing to be done.

Its very frustrating that you would ask for a 5 star review because it impacts your company, but your remedy for my range issue is to dish to out more cash and purchase a additional battery for your mistake. It seems to me you guys do not care about your customer and only care about your reputation and profit.

This is the most disorganized company I have ever purchased from. I will be parting with a with this bike and never doing business with Rize again.

The people over at Rize are amazing. I thought when my Rize X bike was starting to have some battery problems it was going to be a chore. But they stepped me through it. No question was dismissed. I especially appreciated the videos on troubleshooting to send them the voltages. Once they had them they replaced my batt.

There was no stress and Craig worked with me to get everything working again. He followed up as there was additional electrical issues and is sending parts to ensure that I get riding again.

Things breakdown but the way a business deals with them shows how much they beleive in their company. Nothing but impressed by these employees.

I plan on buying my new bike from from Rize aswell.

I received my bolt on tuesday after a long anticipated wait.so exciting.i had some difficulty with assembly but that's probably due to me skipping over instructions too fast.thought i'd stripped the thread to the left hand pedal.phoned rise thinking i would have to buy a new pedal only to discover that it actually gets threading in towards the front of the bike.backwards in fact.i was more that thrilled to learn that it went in quite easily even after i thought it was hooped.i also ordered the rear view mirror.after putting it on and taking the bike for the inaugural ride, all i could see was my sleeve.clearly not the right mirror.i phoned once again to the office and they once again were kind enough to replace the mirror with one that i am thrilled about.easy to see what behind me without being large and cumbersome.the staff was nothing but helpful.i have spent a few hours riding around becoming accustomed to the way everything works and could not be happier.a great product.thank you for all your help.

I’m quite happy with my recent purchase. I researched long and hard, compared many other brands, even from the States and China, Walmart or Costco. When you factor in everything.taxes.shipping.duty.exchange. Rize had the best value and features. The company sent my bike within 2 days of purchase. The tracking system was best yet, many texts and emails let me know every step.
The bike was immaculate, all bolts tight and everything perfect. Very well made bike
This is my third ebike, other’s a Belize and Voltbike Yukon.
My Bolt x folding step through is very impressive. Buying from Rize was a better experience than Voltbike, whom I held in high regard.
They’re spare parts and accessories are very competitively priced. The extra tires I bought were $25 cheaper than Amazon!

2000 kms so far, no issues
I’ve run this bike in throttle only, without pedaling (because of injury to knee)
For 38 kms on battery only. It still had 30% battery left!
It’s got amazing climbing power, better than all our friends bikes
Both bikes have exceeded our expectations

We bought a pair of the Rize model. They are amazing. We've had them since March and put many Kilometers on them this summer. They are reliable, stable and good on most terrains. There are lots of trails in northeast Winnipeg and we've biked most of them. It's been a great experience.

October 10/2021: Adding an update as I had a couple screws disappear from my controller display after almost a year. Contacted Rize and Diane is sending replacements even though not a warranty issue. Again - great service and great product!

Had an issue with what I thought was the front forks clanging over rough terrain, I suspected a broken shock rattling. Called Rize support and was sent the link to video the issue and email it back to Rize. Two days latter was emailed back suggesting the problem was the metal controller above the battery was causing the issue and the video link to correct the problem. It took me about 30 mins to put some foam pads between the controller and bike frame. Problem solved and no more clanging! Yeh

Thanks Diane and Craig for all your help with resolving the issue quickly.

Never had to wait to get exceptional customer service. They always call back whenever I’m unable to reach them, a breath of fresh air! These bikes are probably the best looking e-bikes on the market. Had the chance to check out their new 2021 Rize models in their showroom before I made the purchase. The real-life colours look SO MUCH BETTER than the website! Opted for the red colour:)

J ai acheté un Rize dont je suis tres satisfait puis un problème est survenu avec la batterie, j ai donc contacté le soutien technique qui a été tres professionnel et efficace. J ai donc pu regler le probleme facilement. Je n hésite donc pas a les recommander.

I bought a Rize which I am very satisfied with and then there was a problem with the battery so I contacted technical support which was very professional and efficient. So I was able to solve the problem easily. I therefore do not hesitate to recommend them.

I’ve owned this Rise 2021 for a little over a week now and have put about 60 km.on the odometer. I must say that I am very pleased with its performance. It is obviously well made and does all the things an ebike is meant to do at a very affordable price. Furthermore, the support staff at Rise HQ have been terrific, answering all of my questions promptly and with great clarity.

I was extremely happy to receive and experience my two fixie ebikes from RIZE Bikes. (One for me and one for my wife). We really enjoyed riding these ebikes. Now I can go very easily the uphill to Mont Royal hill and see the beautiful Montréal from there. Simply, RIZE Bikes flattened the city for me and I can easily go everywhere.
A big thank you also for the support team, they are so helpful and responsive.

I am from Sherbrooke Quebec and ordered 2 City bikes that we absolutely are crazy about. We are always surprised how far we can go without running out of battery. Had a problem with one of the battery chargers, sent them a few seconds video to show them and voilà! 2 days later I received a new charger delivered to my door. Excellent excellent service.

To start: Yes, buy a Rize Bike! - I purchased a model 6 months ago and have gone well over 2500 km on it. Well built and more importantly, the service is just excellent. I had a few issues with the bike and in both cases they were amazing and helped me get back up and running. I highly recommend this company as service is everything with ebikes. Customer service non existent.don't bother calling, or sending emails as you will get no reply. Seemingly fake 5 star reviews to make it seem like this company is flawless.

Sales support / inquiries.yeah ok good luck calling, and when you do get through.good luck with that as well as it seems they do not have anyway of tracking things.

I suggest you buy from a different and more reputable ebike company that seem to care more about their customers and offer better after sales support.

As for the bike.hmmm.its ok.bit overpriced for what you get overall.

I have a 2020 Rize model. Terrific e-bike. The range on this e-bike goes a lot further than advertised and it has a higher capacity battery than those of friends who have more expensive bikes. Great value for the investment. Shortly after my warranty expired the pedal assist system began to stop working mid ride. I called Rize Customer Service and they suggested a solution that would reset the torque sensor. That seemed to work for a while but the problem kept recurring. I again contacted customer service and was quickly contacted by Craig who asked me to take a short video of me hand cranking the pedal in the highest PAS mode. It was apparent that the motor wasn't engaging. Craig felt that the problem was a defective torque sensor and that Rize would honour the warranty and send me a replacement, which I received a few days later. I live in Ottawa and do not have access to the Rize service centre. Craig sent me a video on how to change out the sensor as well as suggesting the tools that I would need if I did it myself. He sent me a link to Amazon for the tools in question which were quite inexpensive. I did the change-out myself and now the pedal assist works perfectly. I want to tell Craig how much I appreciated his support. Rize Customer Service were quick to respond every time I contacted them.

Bikes seem to be good and are lots of fun but don't expect any warranty. We bought 2 bikes and had noisey crank bearing on my wife's spark city ebike. My wife and I emailed and called and told them about the problem but got no response. We paid $55 to fix it and again tried to email them to see if they would honour the warranty. Its been a month with no response. Hopefully they will honour their warranty on their new bike line Rize bikes. Why have a web page for spark bike warranty work, if you don't get back to your customers when they use it!
Update Ace from rize bikes gave me a call and made things right. He explained why I didn't get any response from spark bikes and reimbursed me for the repair. Good to see they still care about all of their customers.

I tried ordering a Spark ebike online on Dec 20th 2019. I was notified that they were currently out of stock and i would get an email when it was back in stock. I patiently waited for one month with no response. On Jan 20th 2020 i called the office and was told that Spark bike was out of business, and they had a new line of ebikes called Rize. I am so happy I didnt order one based on the bad service with a one month wait with no reply, going out of business and ended up buying a Volt Bike Yukon 750, a beautiful bike with a 48 volt 17.5 amp hour battery, hydraulic brakes and a proven track record.
