Customer service training is desperately needed in the store. I went there the other day and I asked the customer service desk if they can help me find a grout and I asked whether they have it in the back because I don't see any on the shelves.instead of politely telling me no the guy said well if it's not on the desk it means it's not here right.right? Looking at me and asking me like I'm stupid. I did not expect this kind of customer service from Rona as I go to Rona a lot and I asked them questions like this to see whether they have what I need in the back. I can't say that maybe he was having a bad day but I can say that he should not be working there

The worst shopping experience I’ve had in years. Save your sanity and do not waste your time here

- no rhyme nor reason to the layout
- so hard to find anything
Spent nearly an hour in the store trying to find the most basic items
- unhelpful and rude staff who just refer you to someone else for help
- staff you do speak too are all new, can’t help and there seems to be a language barrier
- most items out of stock

Will never frequent this store again and instead go to a better stocked, well run store such as Home Depot.

Worst cashier. First of all when I went up to cashier to pay the pipe insulating tube, the price was 2x the tagged price. So I was told to take a picture of the shelf where I grabbed the item. So I went and took a picture and apparently they placed wrong price on the entire box of items. Okay that is fine.then I tapped my mc. I took away from the card when the machine beeped and the cashier sighed and spoked in annoyed voice telling me I took away the card too fast. I kept on telling her I took away the card when it beeped. She was telling me I took away the card too fast so it didnt go through and I am telling her I had the card on the tap and had taken away after it beeped. We were going in circle with this non sense. I do not know what her problem is but I am sure I will never shop in Rona again when I have to deal with this kind of service.

Not a real RONA store. They will not honour the RONA name and take back any merchandise purchased through on-line or other RONA stores. They told me to return to where my item was shipped from which is somewhere in Quebec! Terrible customer service. Don’t go there if you have a choice.

My wife and i have had a good customer service guy show the Storage shed to us outside, he went above and beyond. His name is Liam. And we had a not so good experience with a not so good guy at another date. But Liam is such a good person, We decided to stay at this Location because of him. We wont ask or use the not so good guys services. We know who to talk with and avoid now. 5 Big stars for Liam. Keep up the Great work!

We ordered closet doors, using their installer. Waited over a year. When they did try install them they got it wrong three times. It’s a mess -. Don’t use this store.

Horrible customer service! I went in today looking for a product I searched on their website before arriving. The website said 11 were available in store. I thoroughly checked the aisle for the product and when I couldn't find it I asked a staff member walking past. I showed him the photo from their website on my phone and said the website lists 11 in stock. He said, "that doesn't mean anything. " He walked to the aisle I came from and picked up the first random product he saw. I said, that's not the same size price or color as I need. He shrugged and waked away. After more independent searching I found the product on an endcap nearby. Sure enough there was 11. I walked past him on the way out and told him where they were located. He said why didn't you tell me they're black? I said, I showed you the photo! Dummy!

Have no issues getting the material I need for DIY jobs. Prices are fair, and staff are knowledgeable in the departments in which they work.

Getting cuts done is also cheap, I believe inly 25 cents a cut!

It was my first time on that branch,
Gordo was extremely friendly and helpful to suggest the right piece for my project (a hinge piano with magnetic catches), also with a Craftsman shop vac. Everything was great, I was so happy thinking that that store is closer to my location than the home depot in Park Royal.
Right at the end, I was asking for the area to cut that hinge piece. So I asked one of the customer representatives, unfortunately I don't get his name, a really unfortunate event, so rude and unprofessional, after that right about to pay, I kindly ask the cashier that I wanted to register my company, she was so kind and she told me that she needed to ask her boss, and again same guy with terrible actitude, he told me that I needed to go to other branch, because that location took so long to do that.
I have registered in Sherwin-Williams, Home Depot, Cloverdale, Staples. And never had that rudeness or inconvenience before.

Love the drive thru indoor cutting centre. The construction timber is kept dry and fairly regulated. The fellas are a good crew who will cut anything you want to any dimension on the wall or table saws. Love having my cuts done and drive away ready to get at the job. Sure it's a smaller store who cares? They're a good team and they'll hook you up.

Came there to buy some stuff. They refused to accept official Rona coupon with discount. Young lady at the counter really tried to help, called supervisor/manager several times, but that guy demanded me to print coupon (!), while it should've accepted electronically (on phone screen).
That's not the first time this happening. Last year was same problem with coupon - initially it was not accepted, then some other excuse, and finally accepted with very unhappy attitude.
Never have such problems at another Rona (Park & Tilford)

Ordering online at this Rona location is a joke. They pick your order, bill your credit card, send you a notification it’s ready to pick up then sell your order to another customer before your arrive. Seems like a bait and switch as I bought on sale then was told the product was out of stock and a similar product was not on sale. So basically Rona sold me a product online and then out of stocked the store and tried to sell me a similar product for double the price. Sorry that’s some shady business practices.

Hands down the worst Rona I've ever seen. Bought some wood and needed to have it cut. The lumber guys were all worked up like "wheres your receipt? " Everytime I went back for more trimming. Again, "wheres your receipt? " Everytime they made me feel like a was a crook trying to get free cuts. They looked like they wanted to beat me up. Costumer service was atrocious!

This place is dark, small and has no variety, no selection what's so ever. It's small and cramped up.

It basically looks like a junk yard.

Avoid going there!

An all star team at Rona, the staff are always very helpful. I got outstanding service at the paint desk from a young girl Tony. She knew everything there was to know about stains, paints and solvents. I would highly recommend anyone to go there and speak with her about any paint or staining project you have. The only thing I would like to point out is one older man standing behind the seasonal area was talking about an individual working there and it was disappointing that someone would speak like that about another person working only meters away.

ONLINE PURCHASE. I purchased a Nest camera online.just to discover at home that the item was a RETURNED ITEM which was damaged. My installer fixed the broken wire as it would have been more expensive for me to pay for his time twice. Very disappointed. RONA should verify that all items sold online are in mint condition and not returns. Won’t buy from them anymore

This Rona is one of only a few franchise stores around the lower mainland. As such, they have a huge stock of stuff they don't have at other locations. Really great prices on certain things, and a great selection of by the foot materials at really good prices. Staff is always super helpful, and they always know where things are, and the name of the thing you're describing.

I drive there from Surrey regularly because the customer service and stock is so excellent. It's obvious that the staff gets treated pretty well. Please consider supporting this business. Massive corporate owned hardware stores are the worst.

I bought a hose from the Surrey location at some point, it leaked horribly so tried to return it to this location 2 weeks later on my way to the ferries because I live on the islands. I was lied to and told that I had to return the hose back to original store I purchased it at even though I had receipt. Bunch of liars who just did not want to have a return on thier store as it affects thier sales numbers. I'll be returning everything to this location from now on but buying from any location but this one. Try to tell me I cant next time.

Spent over $100 on a lighting fixture there and later discovered I could have bought the EXACT same model for $40 less at Walmart, so took it in for them to price match. The manager eventually sauntered out like she just woke up from a nap and the "customer service" slob who rang it up charged my card again for the full amount, instead of reimbursing the difference. It took 30 minutes to do a two minute transaction! Chris was rude, unapologetic and completely indifferent to the long line forming behind me. Not impressed, won't return.

This is an, awful place. Some staffs have serious attitude issues. This is the only place that gives you an attitude when you return merchandise.

Not a bad sized store for in the city. At the time I went in I had to wait a long time to get a staff member to help and there were several waiting behind me.
Friendly service, but I found the prices a little high and the selection low. Thay said, an all around good store.

This place is a mess. It is so hard to find a sale's associate if you need one. The other day I had to wait like 10 mints in seasonal section for an staff to help, finally I had to give up because no one showed up. Never going back that's for sure.
