Horrible experience at Rona/FVBS in Mission. I suggest if you are going to special order you go elsewhere. This company is going down fast.

Special Note: Do not deal with Kadden. He is non-responsive.

I ordered some header trim material in spring. Kadden said it would be in in about 1 week. Long story but it took us 4 months to get the material in and they did not return any of my 15 phone calls while waiting for the material. When it finally came in I went to pick it up. I loaded it in my truck and went home. They ended up ordering the wrong material (its the same profile but it is one size down). Now, I have called, emailed and gone in person to talk about it but there is no response (Kadden was not in when I went in). I spent over $700 and they have not returned any of my phone calls on the incorrect material. I am at over 20 phone calls of which none have been returned. I am literally astonished by that. 20 phone calls not one response.

If you ever deal with Kadden just walk away. He is just going to mess up your order and cause you stress. I have now gone elsewhere and am going to have to eat the $700 because I cannot get a response.

This is the worst customer service I have experienced and will not be special ordering anything from Rona/FVBS.

On Sept 6th, I purchased two bags of chicken feed, along with multiple bags of bedding pellets and a bag of pine shavings. I am a very regular customer, my husband and I usually purchase animal feed approximately $400-550 worth of animal feel every 6 weeks.
We were low on feed so I purchased two bags of chicken feed on Sept 6th. When I got home and opened the first bag it was full of mold. The second bag was opened with the same result.
So on Sept 13th I returned back to FVBS to EXCHANGE these bags (I didn't even want a refund). I was immediately greeted with hostility by the lady in the agri-feed section. Instead of identifying the inconvenience of having to bring back two open bags of heavy chicken feed that spilt all over my vehicle I was told "well I need to investigate this, I don't know how this could happen to my stock" (which sounds acceptable except the tone and attitude towards me was extremely hostile). This was the same woman who actually not only sold me the feed on Sept 6th but also pulled it off the shelf and loaded it in to my car.
After providing her with the receipt and showing her the moldy feed, the lady told me "well this isn't the feed you were charged for". I have absolutely no idea how things are coded in their system and as a customer when I state what I am looking for, then the employee puts it in the system, I pay for it and then the staff load it in to my vehicle, I don't think it is the costumers responsibility to look over my receipt to ensure that the staff put it in the system under the correct code (which even if we did i would have no idea as i am not an employee!) I must add that the feed that was loaded in to my vehicle was the same brand of feed that I always purchase (Hi pro brand in the yellow and white bag). I was then told that the numbers on the bags of feed match feed that was in stock in April. The lady accused me that the bag of feed that I was asking for an EXCHANGE for was not from "her store". I am a customer coming in and purchasing a product, I have zero idea when things are ordered or how stock is done/ put out. Again that is a store concern.
The amount of ignorance that I was shown that day was just plain gross. Not only do we purchase feed every 6 weeks, so how would I have feed from April, but I had literally just purchased the bags from THE SAME LADY just days prior. On top of that my husband is a developer and has purchased probably 50k worth of supplies since moving to mission. The amount of disrespect, lack of professionalism and ignorance was beyond measurable. As a loyal customer not only do I feel like that was uncalled for, but as a human being it was not ok. My children were also present during this situation. This situation has left me shook, and still extremely dissatisfied. I waited multiple days to "cool off" to write this email so I had time to reflect on the situation. However I am still very upset about how I was treated in this situation and pretty much called a liar and dishonest to the degree that I am unsure I want to be a customer there anymore. I don't think I have ever been treated so poorly as a customer let alone it being over exchange two bags of chicken feed. I do hope this situation can be rectified to some degree, but if not I wanted to voice my experience so that no customer in the future has to endure this situation again.

Rude and unprofessional staff always have to go other places cuz they can't answer your question that you have related to your purchases waste of time waste of money need better management

Went to buy some feed in the agri section and unfortunately found the staff working there to be quite short and unwelcoming. Decided to go elsewhere as she made me feel like I was just wasting her time by trying to get her assistance.

Good help from the floor staff. Lumber yard folks also very helpful. Paint department has good selection of supplies. There are some very nice people working here and I have found it to be consistent in all departments. Dog - friendly!

Went there for a project ive never done before and had no idea what i was doing. Jack and some others really came to the rescue and helped recommend me the best stuff i needed for it and were all super nice

Worst service ever. I have went there a few times now, and it, s always the same. The service in the lumber yard is beyond bad.nobody will offer you any help, loading your product.there are no prices posted, and if you ask yard person, for the price, they say, "I have no idea" I told last cashier who served me ", I am not ever going back. " she said " okay". That just says it all.

Had a bad experience in this store. I jyst started getting serious about gardening so I bought some hoses and water outlets to set up an automatic system. I overbought because I was told I could do returns. After testing things out, I realized I didn't need a lot of the items. When I went to return them, I got attitide from the service desk saying they couldnt resell them. I had packaging and receipts. They begrudgingly accepted my returns but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Do not buy lumber from this store, their prices are ridiculous. Do yourself a favour and make the trip to Home Depot or Lowes

Minimal staff, but they are there if you look. Prices and selection not great, but you can find most of what you need.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The man who works in the paint department is my favourite. And they are dog friendly which is always a big plus!

We were very impressed with our cashier last week for going the extra mile. I have been in there purchasing a lot of stuff over this past month and Mirleena has been very friendly and extremely helpful!

I have supported Rona in Mission for many years but the ridiculously poor customer service we received today caused them to lose my business. I purchased an "AMES" True Temper wheelbarrow from them in 2021. Just over a year later, last Fall, the wooden arm snapped off. We called Rona to try and get some details to connect with Ames but the Rona representative on the phone (after talking to his manager) helpfully said we should "just go on the internet and look it up ourselves". Wow, really going the extra mile there Rona. No feedback, no suggestion to bring it in, no offer to talk to their distributor and get an replacement arm.nada. This AFTER we said that Ames is really different to find customer service for. Rona did a stealth "pass the buck and not my problem" manoeuvre, which I don't appreciate. Do better Rona.

Got the worst experience in years at that store today. Wanted to return some lumber they don't stock and news to me - it was refused. So I asked for the return policy and store manager contact. Got pretty rude response from Rob they not going to print it for me? They should have a printout available for customers. Comments followed - they don't care if I had to drive to another store, its my problem, etc. Did not even bother to offer store credit, which I would happily use it right there btw. On top of everything this Rob calls me a jerk in font of other employees and customers and tell me he could give me refund at his discretion but he won't. Interesting how the return policy could be applied from person to person based on what, a personal preference? So much money spent there before. Not anymore. Will make extra effort to buy from another store from now on.

I only come here for the Sthil mixed moto fuel. Everything else is just basic home building supplies. Parking lot is a disaster when the store is busy so expect your vehicle to obtain some dents and dings from people who can’t park between the lines

Maybe 2or3 friendly helpful staff. Which is sad when there much more staff than that working there. Normally, zero greetings, zero may I help yous. Out of stock on many items. Lumber yards a mess. Piles of Busted drywall as the selection to pick thru. Unorganized overall. Zero clue of pricing for anything outside. Stepping or tripoing over cut bands and strapping. Out of stock of drywall the website says there's over 80 of. Unorganized, expensive, lacking selection. A high % of the lumber in stock is crooked. Basically a good spot for needing a small item or 2 in a pinch. Terrible place to stock up or heaven forbid, try to save a few bucks. The fuel $ spent to get to the Abbotsford Home Depot is for sure the way I'll be going from now on. This Rona has slowly gone downhill year after year. The Maple Ridge Rona is a total 180° different store. Perhaps they should chat with each other on how a store should look and functional.

They fired their only good employee that would ask customers if they needed a hand finding something. Sam has always been my go to girl and the only reason I chose rona over other stores in the area. But now that she's gone I see no reason to spend my money there.

This store sells items that apparently two of their managers wouldn't buy. I came in here for a family member who bought a box a fasteners and said there were a number missing from the apparently previously opened and taped up box. They couldn't care less. Two managers I spoke to said verbatim "I wouldn't have bought that box. " Why are they selling them then? I had planned to buy another box and was only sort of mentioning it to see what they would do or say about this blunder on their part but given their pathetic response I instead just walked out and then was spoken to in a very rude fashion by one of their supposed "managers. " The other one put the onus on me and said "why didn't you call? " Or why didn't I get back into my car and drive back rather than just use the box and come back next time when more were needed, which is what I did. It's not that big of a deal; a handful of screws missing, and I did call.what do you think my being there in person inquiring about it the day after purchase is? Poor and nonsensical business practices as well as rude "management" willing to make an issue out of something so petty. They should not be selling opened box items and putting the onus on the customer if something is wrong with them.
