RONA Burnaby

It's small compared to most Rona's. It's actually more for local urban customers than for contractors. Nevertheless it does offer a lot for customers in terms of home.improvements and home renovations.

Please don’t go there it is dangerous! I never had life threatening situation in store before!
The manager of the lumber area “Scott”as i was told his name by the cashier, and after talking with Lorin, working in the main store who told me that he is his manager and he outrank him, refused to make me go out from the pickup area gate even the person who cut the wood I purchased checked my invoice, and he let me carry the wood and walk around the store to reach to my bicycle and bus stop which was Infront of the pickup gate, even the gate didn’t has lock he grab a lock and close it and start singing in sarcastic way after he said “no” to me in very threatening way.
This happened Aug. 22 at 5: 30 Pm, and that guy didn’t allow me i saw him after driving a fork lift

Does the job but also just has a very un modern vibe. Doesn't really need the modernization but it looks so plain in the store itself.

People there in the back (yard) were busy and couldn’t help.
People at the front were really helpful

Terribly messy and disorganized. Non existent staff. Website says they have something in stock? Chances are they don’t. Just go to Lowe’s in queensburough.

They couldn’t find one of the 84 102 litre big storage bins they had in stock just 2 lids. Such a waste of time every time at this place

Person at the aisle was very helpful. He pointed me to exactly what I was looking for within seconds. Female cashier was not engaged at all. She was too busy talking to a colleague at the front counter. There were no exchanges of pleasantries like "Did you find everything you were looking for? ". I was just another warm body who walked in to the store.

Maybe I expected too much from a hardware chain ️

Shout out to the appliance employees. Came in a few times for my dishwasher delivery, and called in once too as I had not yet received a refund on the plumbing I had originally requested. All of the workers who helped gave great customer service. Will definitely get my appliances here from now on. I wish I remembered the workers who helped me out so they can the recognition.

Much less stock and variety than other locations. Also the employee that helped me did not know very much. Had to ask 3 people before I found what I needed.

I bought a washing machine drain hose that was not well packaged. When I saw that the size is wrong, I returned it to the store. But they did not take it back under the pretext that you have opened the package badly! And it is used! I never touch that hose and I checked the size without opening. I also threw it in the trash in front of them. They can give it to a lab to see I never used it. But they lost a customer. Now I understand why the professionals never leave Home depot to come to Rona. The character and policy of the customer service is sometimes more important than the quality of the material. This purchase was both my first and last purchase from Rona. You can buy everything from Amazon and Home depot instead of Rona with a peace of mind

Have not been to Rona in quite some time but was very happy with my visit, in terms of finding what I wanted. A fair price and good customer service. They are open long hours, have lots of free parking and on several bus lines. Great hardware shop! UPDATE, had to get a few items and must say, all staff were so friendly and helpful as store is large and can be overwhelming. Got what I needed at a good price. Another good experience!

Staff was really unhappy, making faces when customers asked for help. One guy even throw his gloves to the floor when an old lady asked him for help.
They drove the fork lift near me without caring and almost hit me.
Definitely I don’t recommend this store.

Like convenience of this rona.so close to our place.not a big Rona, but still has quite the supply of merchandise for building and renovating.
Good help here nothing like home Depot at least these employees had some expertise in construction materials and building products

Stocked items and available items and prices compared to almost everyone else not on par. The staff are not engaging nor appear to be knowledgeable aside from the slightly over middle aged man currently outside with seasonal previously assistant with hardware. I would like to rate more for his amazing customer service and kindness and eagerness to provide over the top assistance, it's the remainder of the staff interaction, availability for questions or product information and to find an item that has dropped the rating. I'm a past avid customer and was constantly encouraging others to shop at Edmonds Rona I would spend several hundreds of dollars over a couple days a week and I was spending my personal money for home and hobbies and I spent thousands at peak seasons/holidays, and there was a supervisor change following with staff change and then products becoming diverse and greater specialties and unfortunately the staff killed the interest in customers even completing a purchase they are about to make until the cashier's conversation with customers to ease the stress of the outrageous time to complete transactions the surplus of staff literally just walking around to appear busy to avoid activity so lineups are on average 10 mins for the 3people max with mostly under 5 items and very often only a single item. Staff admit and are agitated by the length of time and the lack of positive interactions between the cashier and customer and basic "customer service"

Check your washroom often because you ran out of paper towel and you also ran out of sanitizer.

Cashier was nice and friendly. But as I looked throughout the store and asked one of the workers walking past where the paint was I was looked at pretty weirdly and felt little bit dumb for not knowing. I wasn’t told that it was upfront. Needs better signs and maybe work on the customer service of the floor staff

One cashier was very rude and impatient to process the transaction with multiple promo codes. Kicked me around to different counters. Waste of time shopping there.

I was trying to locate more patio slabs that were on sale until today but another Rona store wouldn’t pick up the phone in ANY department. After 20 minutes of trying I called the Edmonds Rona store and a wonderful employee named Barb in the paint department picked up the phone. She was serving customers, cashiering AND answering the phone. She still graciously and patiently had time to help me too. She was responsive and resourceful and contacted her manager with her ideas about solving my dilemma. She even called me back and was incredibly helpful. Thanks very much, Barb! Kudos to you!

I've been looking for an adapter to connect my portable washing machine to our kitchen sink for weeks now.i tried going to various places and even ordered one online but no luck.i went here earlier to try to look for one, the staffs are very friendly and offered to help me.he listened to my concern and knew exactly what i need.i'm delighted that i found this place.

The floor staff at this location are friendly and offer to help you as you wander the aisles. If they don't have what you're looking for, they will help with options. It is nice to have an alternative to Home Depot in Burnaby. I recommend them!

Found what i was looking for and got help from the staff when i needed. Place is neat and organized. Would definitely try this location again.

Smaller compared to other Ronas' but the only hardware store in the area West of Fraser river in central Burnaby.

Went there and asked staff to cut wood fir shelves in the craft room for me and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I love it - it’s the only place I go now for my hime Reno’s.

The staff is terrific one of my favorites is Peter he takes his time hes very patient I'm a long time customer!

Pretty much typical for your Rona outlets in the GVRD. Reasonable selection, and somewhat better prices than the bigger box competitor.
Staff were friendly, and helped giving direction where to find the things I was there to purchase.

Not well stocked with limited options. Its conveniently located versus the nearest competitor but in a number of occasions I had to go somewhere else for the item I was looking for. (Recent visits were related to electrical and plumbing.)

This Roma store is quite old, and things are in random places and my husband waited forever at the customer service counter with no one to help him.

But im giving 4 stars because the staff who we eventually found to help us was extremely helpful. His name is "Pete " and he really deserves the. He was so nice and he was quick to help. Great service Pete!

Spent 20 minutes trying to ANYONE to assist me, had to get customer service to call someone to the aisle to help, think anyone did? Don’t waste your time unless you know exactly what you’re after.

I didn't need much.but the items I did buy they were low on stock. Heat wave going on.and I needed accessories to hook up air conditioner. Store does carry items for home owners but it seems geared more for Construction businesses.

First time at this location, I found the staff to be so very helpful from the time I walked into store right up to paying for my item. Excellent costumer service.

Very helpful staff, its is a rona big box store yet has the small town hardware store feel. Hope it doesnt get knocked down and turned into condos like everything in Burnaby and Vancouver

This RONA location is smaller than most, but I have still been able to find almost everything I need here. The staff are always very friendly and helpful!

Warning to ALL potential customers! RONA edmonds is being reported to the BBB for reports of malpractice and poor treatment towards customers.

Great store, didn't realise how much they had to offer! And didn't have enough time to go through the whole store: (will have to go back. Just went to get some wood panels, which they helped cut to size! Thank you very much!

This RONA has been reported to the BBB for poor business practices. Manager King Lum and the delivery company have not properly assisted Mr. Gerber for his order and there are also protests online about this.

Obviously an older building, not the cleanest. It is what it is. More or less easy enough to find what you are looking for, staff are competent.

Very hard to find help in store. The service is very poor. I go there because it's close to my home. If there was another store I definitely would bypass this store. They definitely need more help in store. Looking for something you need takes way too much time.

I felt super taken care of. Home care is not my forte, but the employees here have always been super kind and helpful, and even went beyond my expectations to help!

Plus, a nicely stocked clean store is always nice to visit!

Pretty good. Not nearly as much selection as home depot, but I shop here because I can bring the dog in. Pet friendly stores get my business over others in general, and this store can cover the basics. Not a lot of tools, but you can get most stuff here. Something weird I noticed is that the price tags on the shelves are the same price tags at home depot. Not sure if its a coincidence or whats going in there, but check it out next time you visit.

All in all dose the job for a little more cash than the other shops but not really an enjoyable place to be
It’s like 711 you get what you want easily but it’s really depressing place and you pay more

Called ahead about 2 doors. Liz answered and said they needed to retrieve them from upper storage shelves. I arrived 20 minutes later to have the doors waiting for me. Liz and Mitch helped me load them. Fast, friendly and efficient. Great work Liz and Mitch.

A complete hardware store that keeps its edge by consistently being well-stocked of regular items small to big and particularly of items on sale (which the local competition can't do). The website of stock quantities is accurate with friendly, knowledgeable staff able to place holds or locate items quickly for fast check-outs, continuing to make walk-ins for supplies a breeze. This older Rona keeps up with the times and continues being my first choice before other newer or bigger hardware stores.
