RONA Coquitlam

I just wanted to appreciate Hooman, one of Rona's greatest asset. I saw him there almost more than 10 years now. He is vey knowledgeable and helpful.

I had a great experience the young girl who cut my key told me about a lock that was amazing she was very educated on the product.

I actually drive a little bit further to go to Rona. The service by employees is awesome. I don't walk around trying to find someone who doesn't know anything about the items I need, like other big stores. Very professional and helpful.

Every time I leave the store I always remark at how helpful and knowledgeable the staff there are. They've helped me through countless DIY puzzles, honestly the best resource around for homeowners trying to get things done.

I'm so disappointed. We stopped in for a dolly, and all of the ones they had had flat tires. There was no way to get the tires filled in the store. As we were on our way to pick up some appliances, we needed it usable. We went straight to a gas station to fill the tires only to discover one tire would not hold air. We had to return to the store for a refund. At this point, we decided not to buy another as we didn't want to chance this happening again. The manager who issued the refund didn't even offer an apology for this inconvenience. We ended up moving 2 heavy appliances on our own! I'm pretty frustrated with Rona!

I've always liked Rona. I even used to own shares in the company. Staff is always helpful and kind.
I wasn't very happy with the recent colour matching to paint that I bought from Rona several years ago (the number matching system has changed and it's difficult to match to older paint colours). However, the mismatch led to me completely changing my mind about the colour for my room. I received an excellent 2 for 1 deal on Valspar and I couldn't be happier with the change to "Jade Sea".

Very old "hardware" store in central Coquitlam. Interior needs a bit of change, so it is bright and welcoming. Good sized store. Has a reasonable selection of material.

Really good stuff staff is the problem there store managers incompent demote them put someone that's not racist, rude and accusing a customer of stealing a 4 dollar part. Good stuff but go somewhere else if u wanted 2 b treated with dignity and respect. Also wouldn't take my official complaint wonder why?

Really bad customer service. I asked if I can get discount on an item if I buy a lot. The casher told me he can work on it. After i move everything in my car, I been told by manger no discount. Really bad experance in this store.

Good service, good prices, large selection of items, has more than the regular box store.
Because of supply delivery issues related to COVID, stock hasn't been what it used to be. At least the sales associate has no issues with suggesting a competing company as a potential source. That is commendable, indeed.

Bought some nails at the Burnaby location. They didn't work out and, with receipt in hand, tried to return them at the coquitlam location. Clerk said they don't carry the nails and that all Rona inventory is different so she wouldn't process the return? !? !? !

If you can find staff in this store, you’ll find them to be quite rude. It’s obvious this store gave up long ago waiting to be bought out to be condos and it seems to affect the staff’s attitude as well.

Also their panel saw is still broken so another reason to avoid this location.

Great experience we had today with shopping for a BBQ in Rona-Coquitlam. As the package was too big to fit in our car, the shop manager delivered it for free with his truck.

Terrible customer service. The employees had a cold and rude tone during interaction. Wouldnt help with exchanging an item. Wouldnt return here or recomend. Would rather drive further to home depot/Canadian tire

Great store. I find prices are comparable to anywhere else. Staff is real good at this location.

Layout of store is better than other Coquitlam location. It may take time to find staff to help you, they're usually busy with customers. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Prices on similar items are better than Home Depot.

Customer Service staff is unprofessional. Purchased blinds online from Rona and needed them cut to size, staff said their cutting machine was broken and go to another Rona location. Other location said their machine is not broken but their staff is too lazy to do the work. Super unprofessional. Management should better train their staff at this location.

If this was not the second time I wouldn't be so disappointed - The guy at the store (steve is the name?) spent 20 minutes looking all over the place but couldn't find the product - which showed 3 in stock at the store in Rona's own system - and I did phone the store directly to confirm the availablity before I drave all the way there - they just couldn't find any - and it's a lawn mower, too big to get lost in the warehouse!

Last time was for a post base - same story, 3 in stock in Rona's system, then nobody could find one.

How can this store survive if this keeps happening? ? ?

I suggest everyone stay away from Rona Coquitlam on Barnette.

Bought a counter top dishwasher without checking the faucet! I went to this location with a bit of hope to find someone helping me since plumbing is a very confusing thing for somebody like me with no knowledge of that. Got the best and cheapest solution in just 10 minutes and came out happy having everything I needed to fix the problem and hook the dishwasher to our sink faucet!

Really helpful and attentive customer service. Probably the only home improvement store I go to where they actually check on me to see if I need help. Consistently. Prices and selection good too.

Simply disgusting. Dirty washroom with no soap and did not find any sanitizers to clean my hands. After asking the staff member to refill the soap- was rudely dismissed by pointing to the service description with a long line-up. No staff on the floor to assist in finding products. Why ever shop here when there are competitors with helpful friendly staff and clean facilities with Covid protocol in place

This store's okay if you need a quick household item. There is lots of parking, it seems a lot of times I come here and they don't have what I'm looking for. Last week I came in looking for a lawn sprinkler, hose spray nozel and a plumbing part, none of which they had. The staff was some what helpful and told me they would be getting more stock in, but weren't sure when. Although out of my way, I ended up going to Home Depot and they had everything I needed. I do however really like there drive thru lumber yard, you can easily put everything in your truck and drive out, as opposed to other supply stores.

I have come to this rona for many home improvement needs. They are always understaffed, hire inexperienced kids who can’t even locate anyone who can help. I was planning to buy a $900 lawnmower today, had to wait twenty minutes for service, ended up finding someone myself who then said that they couldn’t sell the display model until the end of the season (when I won’t need the lawnmower anymore). Total waste of time! Avoid this place if you need help or don’t like wasting your time!

A convenient neighborhood hardware store. Because of its location, expect to pay a little more premium (5-10%) for almost everything, compared to some more remote counterpart, like Homedepot.

The staff here are great! Steve M.and team are very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Good selection of products and there are constant promotions with good deals. Store is clean and organized.

I purchased almost $1,600 worth of supplies to build a patio cover. I received great customer service, great product and delivered promptly to my home with no problems. I highly recommend using the online service and the delivery went smooth as well. Special thanks to Sally who made sure everything went smooth

Always tough to find good help in these big name hardware stores. Staff isn't that friendly, well the ones I ran into at least weren't.

Line ups to the tills take forever there for some reason. Online purchase pick up has no instruction, so you line up forever at the till to be told to go line up at the customer service forever again. Staff are very helpful and friendly, great selection of products. Just gotta figure out the constant line up to pay

A big thank you to Serena and Steve for assisting my mom today. We bought a gazebo from the Langley Rona a month ago and it was missing some parts. Upon calling the number that was provided for requesting missing parts, we were told that the part was unavailable at the warehouse and that the part would be ordered through the manufacturers. We were further told that the manufacturer would contact us directly via email. A month later and without hearing back from the manufacturers and contacting the number 3 times, we were advised to go to the store directly and request the store to provide the missing parts (by opening a new box) ; however, the Langley store refused stating that they did not have the model in stock. My mom was then directed to go to the Coquitlam store. Both Steve and Serena went above and beyond to help my mom and the result is that we now have the missing parts:) Thank you for exceptional customer service. We truly appreciate your help!

Always helpful and knowledgesbke about products and locations if them! Plus they store there lumber outside like it should be!

Some good deals on various selected items if you are a price shopper. The staff were helpful and I like the improved tool selection and quality brands. Double check your map for entrance and exit routes as this location is tucked in.

Staff were really polite and personable especially Olivia who was patient and went above and beyond.

Friendly staff when you're able to get a hold of one. Will have all your basic needs. Centrally located. Will be back again.

Standard Rona. No complaints. Knowledgeable staff. A touch smaller than other Ronas in the retail area but that's not a bad thing here. It's always busy for a reason.

I made an order and had it cancelled. Put In a negative review due to horrible customer service and they decided not to post it. Would never shop here again.

Handy store to have in Coquitlam Centre area. Often saves me a lot of time drive to one of the big box home stores.

I've broked a lamp bulb, they reacted super professional and polite and thy didn't chraged me! Also tall young lad was so helpful and patient! We were almost returned our item but he persuaded us to do the great deal! Thanks Rona

Really nice customer service, great variety of home essentials with mostly reasonable prices. The associates are really polite and helpful.

Knowledgable friendly staff makes this Rona a pleasure to shop in. Very tidy shelves as well as lots of product choices for any home improvement or fix you may need to do. I enjoy shopping in this locations flower and plant area outside they have great selection. A little pricey I find but Im always in and out quickly.

Very patient customer service. Obliging with pandemic rules. Entrance and exit are separate which is good.

I’m still not sure how I feel about this location. I really tried to like it, but some of the employees seem like they are purposely trying to make things difficult.

Great experience with RONA coquitlam, the store is very clean and organized, all the staffs are friendly and happy, especially the manager Hooman and staff Joe, they are very helpful, very impressed. I will recommend this store and will come again for sure.

There is no trust and respect to customer. The old lady at customer service was like crime investigator.
I left what I bought to give her the message to respect customers. I''m sorry for her and the manager.

Service desk staff did not seem happy and did not go the extra mile to help me find what I was looking for. Just pointing in the direction of where the product is supposed to be, although I have looked and had trouble locating it myself. Ended up going elsewhere to do my shopping today.
