Rona contracted out the fridge delivery to a third party (RXO and F16 Logistics). No delivery notice was given until a few hours before delivery. Delivery was hastily carried out without precaution which left deep scratches in my hardwood floor. The fridge was left unassembled with much of the packaging left behind. The delivery contractors requested I sign that no damages were caused and after I noted the damage on their paperwork, they uploaded a blank Bill of Lading. Luckily I had photos to confirm. After weeks of back and forth, Rona stating there was no claims process, being sent substandard contractors, including receiving a phone call for someone else’s repair, Rona agreed to a joint settlement with RXO/F16, but then later changed their mind. The RXO claim number is 570, xxx. As of writing, Rona and RXO have stopped replying to emails and appear disinterested in resolving this issue.

I have never had such an amazing trip to the hardware store! I came in to place a large order for a deck with a big list. The store manager (Tammy) personally assisted me with one other very helpful and knowledgeable salesperson (Amber) to locate and pick out all of my items and prepped the rest for delivery. These two women are absolute rock stars and are a top example of what customer service should be. Keep up the stellar work. I look forward to the pleasure of shopping here again.

Garden center is excellent. Small space, but very knowledgeable, helpful staff. Good quality plants.

I went into Rona and needed help with electrical boxes. I was told Paul would help me so I waited for him — who I greeted kindly when he showed up and I asked "Could you help me with electrical? ". He replied "Electrical is over there. " with a sour attitude. I asked, "I just need help finding this specific product for attaching an electrical box directly to drywall, and not to a stud". Paul replied "I have no idea", as he looked at me like I was retarded. With absolutely no interest in helping me or finding someone else who could help me.

Why are you working at Rona if you cannot even attempt to help someone! If you don't have basic knowledge of hardware it's probably not the right job for you. I will not be shopping at Rona anymore after that!

Always friendly and helpful, every time. Tom in the irrigation section was especially knowledgable and helped me out. Good prices on wood too!

When getting some tools there I can usually count on the same people to be around Dan and day out unlike HD.

That's said there is been a distinct change since they're taken over by Lowe's from the state's. For example and require a circular saw for timber framing that I was interested in suddenly jumped from $870 to $1200 it's still the same model they presumably paid the same amount for.

The sale item seemed to be equally sketchy. I bought a couple of forrested fixtures which are on sale and both of now blown their ballasts on them and are basically garbage. Not sure what I can do about them except return the Ballasts and tubes that came with them to the junk heap to the junk keep and toss the ballast in with the other dangerous waste products.

This Rona is definately suited for contractors and serious projects. They have a huge lumber yard and very knowledgable long time staff. This is my preferred building supply outlet in town.

Very nice and clean, knowledgeable. I give a 4 because very rare do I find what I'm looking for. I mostly go to Vancouver/ Burnaby.

This store is a complete joke, I ordered a patio heater online and after not hearing a thing for weeks I went into the store to talk to somebody. I was passed around to almost every employee in the store, nobody had any idea what was going on. I was told by the manager that "you can't trust the Rona online ordering procedure", whatever that means! They couldn't find the paperwork for my order, finally an elderly man found the heater in the back and brought it out to me. The manager, who I was dealing with, told me to "hang on" as he kept searching for something. After about 20 minutes of him wandering the store he came back to me and said "I've looked everywhere and can't find your heater", to which I said, "this one in the giant box right beside me"! In the end they still couldn't find the paperwork so I just left. Horrible customer service, VERY unfriendly and grumpy staff, nobody knows a damn thing. Go to Home Depot!

Zero stars. The wosrt experience ever. I ordered and paid for an item that is on their website saying 3 to 7 days delivery. 5 weeks later they still havent got a clue. Excuses vary from it was never actually ordered to we can't find your paperwork to its here but we have no idea where. Do not rely on this pathetic group for anything time sensitive.

Indifferent customer service, rude management. Never have anything in stock despite website or being told verbally otherwise. What do you expect tho, it's Squamish.

Awesome service. Very helpful
We bought appliances from home depot but the service stopped as soon as we made our purchases.
The people at RONA were very understanding helped us get everything set up and working properly.

Helpful staff and a good, general, selection of everything you might need as a DIY or contractor. They can get most anything else, too.

So I never write reviews, but I just would like to help keep others from making my mistake. I ordered a gallon of mineral oil online. The Rona website quoted a 3 day pick up for shipping to the store. I payed online and that was it. 3 days later I received an email claiming that my order was delayed and that it would be a further week before it could be picked up. While that was very tight with my schedule, I let it slide as it was near the holidays and sometimes things like that happen. 4 weeks later I still heard nothing so I walked into the Squamish Rona. After speaking with three employees and a manager I was told "Don't trust Rona Online, we don't make any money off of purchases online so its like an entirely different company". They were unwilling or unable to give me any sort of arrival date and didn't even provide a simple apology. While my order wasn't huge it was crucial to my business but I was left with the impression that Squamish Rona and Online Rona could not care less. I own and manage three local businesses in Squamish and will be taking all of my future business down the road to Home Depot.
