RONA Surrey (Fleetwood)

Ii bought Allan Block tops as this Rona was the only store close to where I live that had them. Since they were heavy, I asked one of the outside workers to help me load. He was very helpful.

Went in looking for a specific item on Rona’s website. I had 3 employees point me in 3 different directions on where to find it. When I finally found it myself, I had to ask for help to get it cut. I was running around the store trying to find anyone to help me get it cut and absolutely no one in sight. I gave up. As I was walking out, finally a nice employee in Paint asked if I needed help but at that point I was frustrated and left. This location needs some improvement.

Terrible service. Website listed 5 units available in stock, arrived and associate said none available. It happened to many locations.

Went here to return an item yesterday and the process was incredibly quick and smooth, and a staff member (Brayden?) even helped me lift the heavy box out of my car. Thank you so much!

Good store with lot's of different product's to choose from but a bit high on the price's.

So far so good. They usually have what I'm looking for when I come here. Bought a faulty drill and they had no problems with my return and got me another one.

I want to give them zero star because they donot deserve this. Poor customer service, poor communication skills, the girl who speaks Hindi there is very rude and donot understand the value of others time!

I don’t want to write reviews because I go there reqular but yesterday I went over there for sheets! The sheets edges was broken that why Vack gave me discount 25 percent when we went for payment at counter vack clearly mentioned to “MCKEENA “25 percent discount for edge broken and she said ok she did but when bill was $939 something after he asked again why bill so high did you applied 25 percent discount she said yes! However, I took receipt and went out from yard gate when I was over there I asked to yard men did they applied the discount plz check because on receipt things was not clearly mentioned when we checked it was difference of $172 we went back to McKenna she showed us on computer she applied only 25dollars when I asked the sheet priced then I calculated front of her then she accepted and asked me to refund I gave to her card but how she worked over there with this attitude she was so rude even said sorry to me and three times tried to fake attitude that she was right on calculations! She was so rude I would like to request to mangers I don’t want to review but plz give them proper training I am your regular customer and Vack always helped me lot however, mchena attitude so high there I never said anything I went out but I was really never checked the receipt that this time I really hurt from her because three time she tired to she was right and even didn’t said sorry for her mistake of 172$! Plz gave her proper training I am reqular no worries I come only there for raman and Vack because these guys help me lot every time

Used to be good, now just okay, staff is friendly if you can find one, stock is very low so hard to find what I was looking for.

Complete chaos of customer service.none of the RONA pick up the calls.how can a customer inquire about a product.very dissapointed.

My wife was happy when she received assistance purchasing decking for them to deliver to our home and for our contractor to install. Unfortunately the salesman gave us all locking clips instead of the proper fixing clips, which meant our deck is now breaking as it attempts to move and cannot.

Contacted the manager Rajnil for some assistance with replacing the clips and broken planks, but the answer was no. This has cost me thousands of dollars and can't even get a discount from them after their error.

There is obviously some blame on our contractors side, but you would think the salesman would know the proper material to send for the product they sell.

I recently drove down from coquitlam to purchase a portable AC, I've checked the stick and it said it had 6 in stock, but when I arrived they did not have any in stock. Either there is a problem with the system and stock count or just missed placed but how can you loose 6 AC. Very disappointing.

Deserves negative stars. Worst customer service ever, went there to buy air conditioner, waited for over 30 minutes for pickup assistance. Cashier paged around 10 times for pickup assistance, nobody showed up. When I asked for the manager, they said she is busy, what the hell people are hired if they are not gonna help, shame for manager as well for not showing up for customer concerns. Never going back there.

This is the worst Rona location I've ever had the displeasure of sending my employees to. No one here has a CLUE on what they are doing, on what they're selling, on what they even HAVE to sell. Avoid this place like the plague. Go to the Maple Ridge location.

Had gone a couple of times looking for deals on pressure washer in flyers but each time sold out / only got 2 in / rain checks not applicable (per mgr)

Finally got a electric 1800 psi foam wand for $189 and hope will be fine

Har wonderful customer service here, I was asked if I needed help immediately when I walked in, and it was clear staff wanted to help. Prices are a bit higher here than Home Depot, but they do price match, so it’s worth asking.

Fully equipped hardware store where you can buy home building supplies to the kitchen sink

Fairly helpful staff - when you can find someone. They’re definitely understaffed and getting through the checkout took a lot longer than finding what I needed

Sold out of deicer and the guy told me check aisle 6? Idk what it is? What it looks like? Very unhelpful I'd rather go to Home Depot where staff actually help you. Not going back there.

It's like a blue home depot! Had to ask a few times to find the product we wanted and go tossed around the departments. Nice store!

The customer service in the front is awful. Most employees are helpful in the back. However the front the cashiers seem a bit clueless about the store and unable to answer questions or willing to get someone who can help. The blonde middle aged woman is the most rude and snide woman you meet, she may be a manager or something. She was rude to my mother with a deporable attitude. Save your time and go to Home Depot to get some respect and proper customer service!

We stopped in to pick up an item ordered online for our son! Nice big store with lots of good stuff to look at and good sales!

If I can share any advice regarding the service of the store I would say DO NOT BUY THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY!
I was assured by staff that the company that Rona uses for extended warranty was reputable and dependable however that is not the case! I bought a Maytag fridge approximately 3 years ago and paid extra for extended warranty. After only a few short years the fridge has stopped cooling not once but twice. The interior lights don't even work. Extended warranty service keeps you on hold for hours with no customer service. Rona staff refuses to intervene saying it's not their problem. Please do not waste your time with their extended warranty on appliances It's a joke!

Not crowded, free parking, helpful and knowledgeable store workers. I got one item which I needed. They didn't have a filter of the size I want however.

Not that big of a store. Hard to find staff when you need help. Rarely have more than a couple of cash registers open.

Returned things from months ago after I just finished this reno. They took back everything except one piece that they no longer stock.

Went looking to see if they had any better plumbing parts. Nope no such luck and of course there is no staff what a surprise

Prices are generally more expensive but the service has always been lacking inside. Almost like they are purposely avoiding you. I always have to chase someone down after they’ve seen me coming. Yard guys are ok, just need to ask and they are happy to help so avoid the inside if you can.

Looked at stock of an item online before going to store as it's a long drive. They had 20+ in stock. When I get there, myself and staff can not find any and suggest I order online for store pickup. I was already at the store! Why would I order for in store pickup when it would require me to come back in 24 hours!

Very dumb system so I followed what they suggested. Online stock now says 30+ items but when I ordered, I got an email back saying it wasn't in stock? !

What's the point of having a stock count online? What's the point of having employees that can't find anything? What's the point of even visiting Rona if no one can help?

It's like they want to force you to pay for shipping for an item as in store employees don't want to work.

It was a world’s difference in knowledge and service when Jas came to help us. We were looking for some 16 feet cedar planks that we saw was on sale online. The rep that helped us insisted that it’s not here without even trying to look. Fortunately, Jas came and looked for it and was able to help us. I would have given 1 star if it wasn’t for Jas’ assistance especially since it was so hard to get any help at all in the lumber yard.

Great place to get tools, liked the service there and honestly would recommend as some stores dont have alot of stuff like this Rona.

Needs price reduction and matching. Saw machine has been broken for weeks, incase you need to make smaller cuts to fit in the SUV. Customer Service is better than others. Best luck

I was told to leave the store if I didnt put on a mask on July 2nd. In BC July 1st masks are no longer mandatory.
The employee claimed they were the owner of the store.

I have shopped there often with my renovation company though being regularly disappointed that there too few staff with any real knowledge of the products and applications. There is almost nobody in the back half of the store at this location. Since Lowes bought out Rona, their return policy changed to a very consumer unfriendly one. After 30 years of prioritizing purchasing from Rona (Revy and Lumberland), the next twenty will mostly avoid them now. Really choked at their return policy!

The love to hike up their prices on their wood, and dont even care to hide it. Labels underneath will show you how bad they jack their prices up.

Lousy service. 2nd Rona I've gone to today, "cant cut your plywood, the tablesaw is broken". Was 1 hour before close, they were sweeping up sawdust, wasn't broken, just didn't want to make another mess that they'd have to clean up 1 hour before close

Been going here for years, it's gone downhill bad the past couple years now, went in today and it smelled really really bad, we were there for about 20 minutes and as we were leaving, we see the fire department show up asking the employees where the gas leak is. ABSOLUTELY INSANE that they would let customers in the store while there's a gas leak, I started to get really like headed and wanted to barf on my way out.

Decent prices but the staff in the yard were not interested in helping anyone. Horrible customer service especially since we were spending over $100.3 stars since the cashier at the checkout inside was awesome and very friendly.

I went here to get one particular item and had a hard time finding a staff member to point me in the direction of what i needed. When i finally did find someone they sent me to the wrong spot. Eventually i found someone else and it turned out the item was out in the yard so I went back to my vehicle and drove around to the yard. Service in the yard was quite quick and I got what I needed at the best price I've ever paid for it so i was very pleased by that.

Usually really good.today cashier was playing on his phone, while I waited to pay bad service people were waiting behind me they were not happy

Great selection of lumber and the prices are very competitive. The staff was so helpful and even helped me load my trailer. It is a very large store so there is great variety.

It's got the stuff I want, the stuff I need, but the customer service at the pro desk was truly abysmal. Yard guys were good. If you can't track someone down, no one is offering to help.

Went to visit Rona and Jysk. Needed to get a few things for a twitch stream that I was setting up. The store is kept clean, the staff was helpful with a few questions we had and we found what we needed in a timely manner.

Can't really think of any large improvements. If I had to make one observation maybe occasional employee banter visible/audible. But part of it is work related so like I said nothing bad or wrong going on.

Never have what i need. Looking for a furnace filter and anode rod for HWT. I never learn, have to go to HD right away.

The store is expansive and well laid out. I found a person to answer a question I had a out a product right away and didn't have to go searching.

Kind of disappointed that they discontinued Sunshine number four mix but they found me a good alternative

Jas helped me pick out 5 different bulbs to replace with brighter lights. I felt like I was asking a lot but he was happy to do it!

Know before you go as it's hit or miss when asking the staff questions about the project you are working on. Doing your research first save lots of headaches.

Hard to find staff to get help locating anything.

Sooooo many staff standing around chatting but no one helps customers. And if you can get one staff member, their job knowledge is very low. Plumbing stuff always out of stock seems.

I came to rona first time ever with my uncle. While we were looking for bunch of items for our bathroom renovations, we luckily saw gurkirat and asked for his help. Not only did he help us find all the items that we needed, he also guided us for the quality and how much do we need. He had exceptional knowledge of the items in the store and which aisle they were at. He was a great help and made shopping much easier,

First time I went to this store and this morning I had unpleasant experience in one of the Asian women staff. She's only standing there and I knew she's working there, she's wearing their uniform. I said, "excuse me, can I ask a help, can I ask a question please? " then she said "NO", then I said "ok". While waiting another staff thanks goodness he's very helpful, I saw her she's still standing at the entrance, just standing.

I had very bad experience at this store I am renovating two washrooms I was looking for certain model number of bidet which they had qty 21in stock before I left my house.i went into the aisle where I could help myself there was few models hanging on the carton hook hangers but not the one I was looking for I asked the young gentleman who was sitting on the chair and looking at computer in the Kitchen and Bathroom desk.i asked him that I can't seem to find what I am looking for he did not bother getting up off his chair answered me we only have what you see hanging there.however I asked him please help me as I checked on line before I came here to make sure you have in stock and you do. He came in the area and said well not everything on line is true and if there is may be in the back and I am not going to check in big mass stock room. I was so upset by his attitude toward horrible customer service I said may I speak to a manager he said yes go find one O my god why in the world Rona have someone in their store who can drive customers out of the store instead of bringing them back into the store again with 10 more customers.however at the end someone was willing to help me out and I was able to buy it.sorry I hate complaining but this sales person really pushed me to write a review.

I would highly compliment Ted at appliance department for his professionalism and dedication to customer service. We purchased an apartment style washers and dryer combo. Finding a stacking kit for our particular model was a constant challenge. Ted went extra mile for is and took it upon himself to find the right part by contacting the manufacturer. We felt valued as customers.

I went to this Rona and I asked a female employee a question, she responded "That's not my department". I asked if she could call someone to answer my question, and instead of using her words, she gave me a rude look and pointed at another staff member that worked in that department. Very disrespectful, won't be shopping here again. I wish I got this employee's name.

Staff need some training on customer service skills and organizing stuff in the isles, online shows stock is available in the store, but stock is not being filled by the staff due to their laziness, I had to check with customer service multiple times to send someone to get it, took almost 2 hours.
