Rose Persian Cuisine Restaurant

I like the Barberry Rice with Chicken at $15. Chicken was moist and soft, perfect for my taste. They don’t feature any house wines, not like other Persian restaurants in Vancouver. The dinner bread was excellent.
The minor setback is the wait to be seated: empty restaurant with 5 staffers in the kitchen, but we had to wait for 10 minutes to get a table.

We tried their kebob on freshly baked bread for the main coarse and shared a ghormeh stew and rice. The small tahdig (crispy rice) was icing on the cake. Their kebob was good quality and delicious. The bread however could have been served hotter to make the good even better! Their hostess was very friendly and professional at the same time. It’d be better if they welcomed their customers with colder water with some lime on the side. This said, we really enjoyed the bread and butter while we remained seated waiting for the food. There is always room for improvement so 4 stars should do it justice for now. Last but not least, it’d make sense to put a bunch of red roses at the reception or somewhere in the dining area for better vibes. Thanks Roz

I tried chicken kebab, rice and salad (shirzi). All taste good, fresh bread (lavash) and butter was served at first. I gave 4 because always there is room for improvement.

Bait and Switch. Sign on the sidewalk has a special. Got a table and tried to order it. They don't have it. Suggested to the waitress they take the sign away as it is misleading. They did not remove the sign

It was worst Fesenjoon that I have ever eaten since I came to Vancouver. I will never go there again.

We had dined in and ordered takeout several times in last few years even in the middle of the pandemic. We were quite happy about the quality specially the Barg kabab.

However 2 weeks ago, we ordered takeout and we couldn't believe the quality decline. My wife and daughter couldn't eat the barg. It looked weird, smelly and tasteless.

I suspect the ownership of this restaurant has changed or the owner was out of town.

I do understand that good kabab needs the best meat so I am willing to pay the full price for a good food.

My feedback to the current owner is make it clear to the staff that between "bad food that may be wasted" and "a customer that may not come back", choose the the first option because you are not going to see us for a while, unless several friends of us check out and recommend you.

Ordered the vaziri from Rose last night. There are not enough words to describe how delicious the meal was. It was fresh had a nice presentation flavourful great portions I mean who doesn’t like rice cooked the Persian way and the staff was very welcoming and kind. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food and service. We invited our Arab friends there and everyone loves the food and the waitress is also very nice eventhough she is super busy.

The rice was extremely dry. We ordered one extra piece of chicken and I was charged same price as full dinner plate. The server barely speaks English. I've had way better service and food else where. The chicken kabob was also dry but the chicken leg was juicy. That was my favourite part. I would never go back.

The main strength for this restaurant is the high quality of foods that they have maintained all these years.

Beef kebab and chicken kebabs were great! Not too dry and very tasty and flavourful. Portions are HUGE though, definitely very filling

Low quality, bad service, and bad ingredients!
After a while it was first and will be last.
Dried overcooked, burned, cold, not mine, all of us!
Appetizers was spoiled and old!
Being ashamed to my guests.
Never recommended, never try it!
