Fantastic apartment, well maintained and set up with everything you needed, 10min walk to Stanley Park and central to all restaurants

Stayed here for GF event as close to downtown and Stanley Park. It’s walking distance to lot of restaurants. The rooms are okay at best. But we got the PH which I must say was very nice. Extremely clean and spacious with patio deck that has bbq. There are a few things they can improve on which is the main shower has no racks that you can put your shampoos/soap on, leaving everything on the shower floor. The hardwood floors need servicing as they squeak right at the entrance of room.

Rosellen Suites was our basecamp for our wedding at the teahouse stanley park. They were extremely accomodating and the chaos of our day was manageable thanks to the folks at Rosellen Suites. The hotel is also conveniently located to great restaurants, cafes, and Safeway grocery store. Highly highly recommend!

We picked Rosellen suites for our wedding. Upon check-in, they offered to upgrade us to their penthouse suite. The suite was amazing with so much room and a wrap around balcony. It completely made our wedding day so much easier since the space had so much natural light for photos and enough space for our makeup and photography vendors to do their thing. They were also so accommodating with parking with the many vendors coming in and out. We cannot thank them enough for making our stay there so perfect! It really elevated the experience we had on our wedding day.

We spontaneously booked a room the morning we arrived and luckily got the last available room, which fortunately gave us a free upgrade. In the event that you should arrive after 5 p.m, you will receive all information about access by e-mail, as is not unusual in many other hotels in the world. We arrived at 2 p.m. And our room was already ready for occupancy. We were greeted very warmly by the owner - probably as warmly as we've ever had in a hotel. We got personal tips, recommendations etc.from him. Checking out in the morning was just as easy and hassle-free. We felt very comfortable. Excellent value for money.

Good spot. Pretty old but but has every you need. Stay for the location, not the modern rooms. Make sure you book parking as not much nearby.

We LOVE staying at the Rosellen. The rooms are spacious with full kitchen. It's an older building I believe it was converted from an Apartment. If you need 5 star boutique, this is not your place. However, if you want a very nice place where you have room to live and you value being able to prep your own meals. This is your place. Oh and if you want to be able to access Stanley Park and the Seawall right out your front door, book the Rosellen. The staff are wonderful and there simply isn't a better location in the English Bay/Stanley Park area.

I don't even know where to start. The check in at this hotel is one of the most bizarre things I've ever experienced. Apparently nobody works here past 5pm, so I was on my own with a bunch of suitcases and locked out of the building. I buzzed in 5 times before it allowed me to gain entry (the connection was so poor the buzz in monitor kept disconnecting) which was beyond frustrating when all I hoped for was a luggage cart and service. Which I got neither. I quickly realized the hotel issued me 2 rooms when I only booked 1. I called who I thought was the manager who seemed very helpful on the phone and told me not to worry, just to go down to the front desk in the morning and they will help me.yeah right.
The next morning I go down to the front and I was greeted by the "general manager" who loved to tell me repeatedly his title. I was absolutely disgusted with his hygiene, his breathe made my mother leave the room and I could barely stand talking to him because of the spit and smell coming out of his mouth. Of course there was no help from him, he just gave me lecture after lecture on how I booked 2 rooms.which I clearly did not when I received only 1 confirmation. In the end, I went through the 3rd party booking site which they were very kind and helpful and corrected the issue. The rooms were dated but very spacious, the 3rd floor hallway smelled of pee though.
Never in my life have I received such poor customer service especially from a "general manager". I hope he finds himself a course on how to treat patrons properly and a toothbrush.

Make sure you read the information in the emails around checking in very carefully. There's a lot there and it isn't clear so it's easy to miss. It would have been helpful if the person who my husband spoke to when he called to ask some questions mentioned some of this.

An important thing to note is that you are likely to have problems getting in at any time of day without the keyless access code so make sure you email to request it.

The place itself is okay. But the oversize parking leaves your vehicle hanging into the street. It is getting run down but seems more or less clean. The location isn't great. It's not really easy walking distance to anywhere and the access by car is kind of convoluted.

Bottom line-if you're looking for a less expensive place to stay near downtown Vancouver you could probably do a lot worse. Just be prepared to have a big hassle getting into the building and plan your day accordingly.

Kent rocks, he set me up. The place is great, everything we need and more. The 2 bedroom is 1100 square feet, it’s huge. Great location. Plenty of parking. I can’t stress enough how great Kent is. Stay here if you get the chance, you won’t regret it

It is such a nice little place to stay for a family. Having a little kitchen and suite style accommodation is so relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. It's right next to Stanley park, and it's easy to go for a walk through the park or down to english bay beach to watch the sunset which is spectacular. Easy access to transit, close to the aquarium and harbour. I really enjoyed staying here.

The suites are quite large and perfect for families. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and accessories. Management is very helpful in providing recommendations about places to go based on your group’s needs.

The location is great, minutes from Stanley Park and also close to many restaurants and shops. It’s also walking distance to downtown Vancouver.

The staff were brilliant - super helpful and friendly! The apartment is in a good location right next to Stanley Park. It's on a quiet street, a short bus ride to "downtime". There was only one bathroom and the furnishings were dated. It was clean and there were free washing machines and dryers in the basement. The kitchen was fine for cooking meals and it had a dishwasher.

Beautiful, but aging property mere steps from Stanley Park in a quiet neighborhood.

The rooms are apartments with a good sized living room, and in ours, 2 separate bedrooms.

Clean, comfortable, and a great place to stay.

Our suite was roomy with 2 bathrooms.
Well equipped. Comfortable beds.
Vintage 1960's kitchen wooden doors as part of the kitchen, interesting how long they have lasted!
Excellent location right near Stanley Park.
Very quiet in the evening for sleeping young children.
We did go in April and enjoyed the marathon, great buzz and street entertainment.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and happy to tell you about the location.
One interesting fact is that Katharine Hepburn the Hollywood actress used to stay in the Penthouse.
We had a tour and it is luxurious and extremely spacious, you can stay for a minimum of 2 nights.
Another plus is they have a laundry that guests can use after 6pm.
We had everything that we needed in this 3 star suite.

Lovely apartments and so close to Stanley Park. The staff is amazing and couldn't have been any better. We had a great time there.

Our suite was the exactly what I was hoping for during our stay. The location is close to everything and yet on a quiet side street, and the reception staff was so friendly and hospitable. While the rooms could for sure be updated (as someone else mentioned), the value here is exceptional. The room was quite spacious, very clean and my bed could not have been more comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. They are so friendly and helpful.
The suites in these mid century buildings are always massive compared to new buildings. Our unit was very comfortable.
Guests are able to use the laundry room in the evenings and they have secured underground parking.

Lovely location. Perfect if you’re looking to walk around a bit and be close to downtown and the Sea Wall. Suites are very outdated. Furnishings are uncomfortable, dirty, and old. Beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Not stroller or wheelchair friendly. We had staff asking us for a deposit for the garage door opener even though we prepaid for our stay. Nobody was there to check us in upon arrival so we had to figure it out on our own. Honestly, not the best spot to stay if you’re looking to get comfy and relax, but just fine if you don’t plan on spending much time at the hotel.

Older building but they are friendly and put a lot of effort into cleanliness, service and newer decor. Good location to Uber.

Wonderful! So convenient.super clean.lots of charm. Not a 4 or 5 star, but wonderful value. Host was very helpful and accommodating. Definitely coming back!

Good location but shouldn’t list this one as the hotel! Because there is no reception area! This just like old Airbnb apartments. Need a good renovation.

Weird stench in the rooms that can never get rid of. Completely outdated decor, grimey bathrooms. Manager came down and greeted us unprofessionally while checking us in- partially dressed and wearing no mask.

Location is awesome especially if you like slightly older neighborhood’s with character. Steps to Stanley park & food. Clean and well kept.

Not terrible. No tv or air con in bedroom, so we ended up sleeping on the hideabed in the living room. The tv in the living room was set too low to watch though. The cable signal was really bad too (you should contact the service provider). Otherwise it was ok but it doesn't really quite feel like a hotel.

Wow, an apartment right beside Stanley Park. Two blocks to Denman, great neighborhood to walk. Great staff.

Very difficult to deal with. Simply lacking Communication skills? Very rude front end Managment.

Because Kent was very accommodating, and went above a beyond the call of duty.
The location is close to Stanley Park, perfect for visiting, exploring and cycling. We truly enjoyed our stay. To have a kitchen, dining room and a living area is definitely a bonus. The secure underground parking was much appreciated.
Good value for the money.

Place was very clean& quiet. The Bed was very comfortable. The only issue was they had no hot water in the morning. Other wise it was a good place to stay.

Terrible customer service. We asked to change our stay from two night to one our “refundable” room a week in advance.when we checked out, he told us they couldn't change it without confirmation from expedia (expedia had talked to the manger Kent while I was on the line a week early when I called to change the dates). When we got Expedia on the phone he refused to talk to them. Really peculiar and frustrating. And they overcharged us. I paid on arrival (for one night) but later found out they’d already charged us so as of now we’ve been charged $1100 for one night at an advertised rate of a $300/ night. We spent many, many hours with them and Expedia trying to get it sorted out. They acted like their inability to modify a reservation was entirely our problem and didn't involve them at all.

And just FYI, If you're looking for nice place, this isn't it. The building is moldering and hasn't been undated in my lifetime, No amenities.

We are renovating our condo, needed to move out during constructions and we have cats. Weather conditions resulted in renovation delays and our stay had to be extended. The transition is seamless, it is just like home everyone went out of their way to make a stressful situation comfortable. This is our 3rd stay at this hotel/suites and the West End of Vancouver is a great community.

They management team is some of the nicest, most respectful, and helpful experiences of my life.

I loved my stay here! Was shocked that after 1 day they remembered my name, we were treated with great staff, and the full kitchen in suite is perfect. I will definitely be using rosellen suites again

It was very clean and had a really cool look to it! Stanley park was just a couple steps away and it was an absolutely beautiful walk through this park. If you walk a couple blocks down there’s tons of little restaurants to eat at as well as a couple grocery stores. The maids were super nice and efficient at there work, they did an amazing job at cleaning our room and would say hi every day we went out. I went with my friend and stayed here for the first time in Vancouver, so we didn’t know how to get to a lot of places so the manager at the front desk helped us a lot and showed us easier ways to get to places and even recommended some places and would also check up on us when we’d walk by just to see if our stay was ok and if we had any problems. Overall there was amazing service, I would definitely recommend staying here!

Clean, quiet, comfortable beds, and S great location. There’s no on-site staff 24/7, but there is an after-hours number you can call if you need something.
I will be staying here again.

This is a quiet hotel with big suites in a very private location.

Not a fancy hotel but lots of charm.

Absolute piss poor service. Booked through travelzoo and showed up, no parking, the site said free parking. Tried to find parking for 30 minutes then when i went back to check in, there was no one there and no one answered the phone. Never got to check in or stay. Its basically a grungy appartment building advertised as a hotel. While i sat road side trying to call them some guy also tried to get in my car thinking i was a drug dealer or something. Ghetto.never ever book here. All good reviews are fake reviews i promise.

Location is perfect! Suite is clean, cozy and amenities are all that we needed. Had a kitchen suite where we made out own meals. I will definitely go back!

Bright, clean, spacious apartment style suites. Full kitchen (albeit a little small yes, but hey it has everything u could possibly need so no complaints there) and dining area (they even had cloth napkins folded neatly on the placemats), everything was very clean and the staff went above and beyond my expectations!

A little backstory as to how we came across the Rosellen suites; our condo flooded and we weren’t supposed to stay in it for 24-48 hours, plus I have a small child and couldn’t imagine keeping him contained anyway. I called up the front desk and explained our situation, we also only live a couple blocks away so for us the convenience factor of the proximity, full kitchen and pet-friendliness (if we needed it) were all bonuses to us. Tag (or Ted?) at the front desk was able to arrange a beautiful suite for us and even snagged us a neighbourhood discount as the price for a last-minute booking in the high season for hotels was exorbitant and not something we could really afford.
In the morning the other attendant assured that we could have a later checkout if needed and made sure I didn’t clean anything (sometimes when renting suites there is a bit of cleaning before u leave, which is what I expected). I can’t say enough nice things about the staff here.
Yes the rooms are a bit older but that’s because the building is and since it’s not a traditional hotel I definitely was not expecting some sort of luxury experience, but it was still great and bigger than I thought.
FYI there are a few steps before entering the building that cannot be avoided but there is an elevator once inside.
Also the doors can be a little sticky, as is the case with any older building.

Le seul point négatif est le bruit des mouettes matin/soir, mais je pense que le quartier entier a ce problème, voire la ville …

Le salon est grand et la cuisine aussi, très pratique.
Petit bémol sur les salle de bains, un petit coup de jeune ne ferrait pas de mal!

L’hôte qui nous a accueilli était extrêmement aimable et serviable, c’est rare pour le souligner. Il nous a bien aidé sur les choses à faire en ville, divers conseils pendant notre séjour etc, vraiment très bien.

Stay away from this place! This is my second time trying to get my review stick! I left the review and it was removed within 12 hours! That’s ridiculous! BUT that explains why so many MISLEADING POSITIVE REVIEWS for this terrible place! When we checked in, the guy there was rude and hostile. The room was tired and cheaply maintained. We booked a suite here since we wanted more space. The website says “600+ sq.ft”, and it’s definitely a lie, the room was tiny and you can’t even move freely around the bed! When enter the restroom, I smell mold and didn’t even want to touch anything; the tiles were really old like they were original not been updated at all since it was build (I might be right, very sadly!) Over charged for the room you get, very noisy, lousy service, terrible room, the kitchen is so old that you’re going to worry if the appliances were even safe to use? ! The good thing is the location, but that single positive can’t justify all the negatives you get! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! If I could leave negative stars, I would; this place does not even deserve 1 star since it ruined our vacation!

Quick disclosure, if you arrive after normal business hours there is a bit of a weird (but we found it kind of fun) process to getting in, unlocking the key box and entering the room. These are more apartments than hotel rooms which would accommodate a longer term guest even better than most hotels as you even have a kitchen! The owner is very helpful in making sure you have an awesome trip and never once failed to wish us a friendly hello and a quick tip for whatever we had planned for the day. Not as luxurious as a beautiful hotel perhaps, but for an extended stay I'd highly recommend the Rosellen any day!
