Do you just want to sit with a cup of coffee from the many coffee shops around and just chill? Maybe have a quiet lunch on the tables around the community centre? Maybe have something to eat from a nice pizza place in the plaza, next to the train exhibit? Or finally, get your blood work that was pending from your GP's office and you claim there is never enough time. Also, you can take a break on your way to the marina to meet the 'Proud Youth' sculpture left by the 'Vancouver Biennale'. Or maybe to meditate before or after you check the price of groceries across the street at the 'Urban Fare'. Also, you could be on your way to catch the 'Aquabus' to go to either 'Granville Island' or 'The Olympic Village'. Well, as you can see, too many things to do around this community centre even in the middle of a pandemic that is keeping its doors closed. Very enjoyable location.

Great community centre! Been going here more than a decade now. Love the staff and programs they offer. Safe and clean for families and children. Definitely recommend
Great place for pottery lessons. Studios are spacious and there are enough wheels for everyone. Good selection of glaze, underglaze, and clay. Instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely reccomend for any one interested in pottery.
Lots of good things for children. We go to music together regularly, but also been to other activities, like breakfast with Santa, or. Just watching other people play ping pong (my daughter likes doing that for some reason)
Easy access from Skytrain or 25 bus. Events are well organized. The Book Launch for Hustling Verse was well organized with good sound and seating and well organized for signing books. The Culture US event, Canvas and Coffee was simply fantastic. Again the site had everything well organized for the painter/facilitator and the participants. One of my favorite People Places in Vancouver.
Beautiful and well maintained venue. Lots of activities and amenities for all ages. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Washrooms and water fountains located inside with some seating in the area (both indoor and out). Limited parking in the area, with some paid meter parking nearby the park.
This building was and is a vibrant part of the Yaletown neighbourhood. Once a garage for locomotives, today the building is home for a wide variety of public and private events.
A nice, public community center. Their room rentals are a little expensive and they could use better food options in there (but there are lots of restaurants around the area).
A unique community centre that photographs well from the outside. True story. Many years ago, we were photography a wedding party outside the Roundhouse. It was a rainy fall afternoon, and the couple had not made any indoor plans for photos. We stuck close to the building while photographing the bride and groom to keep them dry. About 10 minutes into the session, a community centre staff member approached and asked us if we would like to come in from the rain and photograph the wedding party with the train. I was so impressed and thankful that a caring staff member invited us in. It made the photos so much more memorable, and really made the bride and groom happy. I'll always remember their kindness. Thank you Roundhouse!
