They should treat all patients like they treat their paychecks from the pharmaceutical companies, yet here I am getting nasty attitude and not getting the help I need. They'll put you on countless prescriptions that will suck the life out of you or just send you to hospice before they ever help you!
I'll give them 5 stars because it's not the employees fault it's just the western way.

I had an appointment for my child with the pediatrician. The nurse at the front deck was so rude because I forgot my babys carecard and I didn't know which way to go on the 3rd follow. She shouldn't be a nurse if it's too difficult to be polite and kind specially work with people. She made feel belittle for not knowing with side of the building I am suppose to go!

I went in with a dislocated shoulder and they denied me begging for help in pain and decided to send me to x ray to make sure my shoulder was out, when they found out it was out it still took hours to get me help

I had three major surgeries in 2022 and I am thankful for the great care I received. In spite of the pressures and the increase in their workload in the midst of Covid, they all did the best they possibly could to care for all those who needed it. I, for one, appreciate each one of you, from every area of the hospital. Keep up the good work and let the complaints run off just like dismal rain. You are appreciated and respected.

On Sunday, May 14, my husband was brought via ambulance to the Royal Inland Hospital. He received excellent care in the extremely busy emergency department, and had surgery within hours of arrival. He then spent two days as a patient in the hospital. Without exception, everyone at the hospital was kind, helpful, and efficient. Thanks to all staff at this hospital who contribute to making it a great place for patient care.

I had the best experience of any hospital ER visit to date! Every single person I encountered was so helpful and compassionate.

Thanks Dr. Collier and also, thanks to his assistant. They were both we very professional, friendly, kind, listening, and caring. Also, the reception lady was lovely and helpful. From parking to the end of the appointment, everything went well. The hospital was clean, and the washroom checked was clean as well.

I wish can do zero stars, emergency is ridiculous next time I'm in Kamloops and need emergency I'll drive elsewhere

Staff is fine. Wait times can be long which is expected for our crumbling healthcare system.

The 2/5 is for the ridiculous parking situation. I don't even mind paying, but I shouldn't have to drive down the entire parkade and not find one spot. We've been here to the maternity clinic numerous times and we now have to arrive 30min earlier just to find parking. Sometimes we have to drive down the parkade twice, hoping someone will leave, or park at some paid open lot which is quite a walk away for patients who aren't able.

They need to add an overflow in the nearby lots urgently. There are also rather cheap solutions to count the amount of cars in and amount of cars out, and a sign or attendant to notify visitors if the lot is full (so they don't waste their time spiraling down).

I had an MRI done 2 weeks ago. The doctor that did the referral for the MRI hasn't received the results, I've called twice unable to get through to a live person so left messages requesting the results be sent. Still no response.

Only gave a 1 star as 0 wasn't an option. My grandmother has been waiting hours in pain and the nurses and doctors don't seem to care they just walk around talking on the phones and chit chatting with each other and taking there sweet time when in reality it's not that busy tonight. What do u get paid by the hour ppl so u take ur time. Also why are they looking at people that came in away after she came in before her

Worse hospital ever. Sitting since last 3 hours. People after me are also treated bit I am still sitting in the queue waiting for my turn to come. My emergency is of no meaning to them. My pain is of no priority to them. I have never felt that bad in my entire life. Worse hospital ever.

Medical imaging department was very short and unhelpful. I am new in town and the receptionist did not bother helping me fix my issue (I am pregnant and needing to send over my medical images from my previous imaging clinic for context).

She provided no problem solving alternatives and only gave me the answer "I don't know what to tell you, that's how we do it here. "

My patient experience here was poor.

This review is for the maternity ward only. Excellent care was provided. Dr Bakie, Dr. Wade, Dr Hiendal and Dr Smith were surgical/baby Rockstars. The OR nurses and Postpardum nurses were thoughtful and competent. Our family thanks you for your service.
