Proffesional, knowledgeable and good value, have used them a couple of times, each time is the same experiance. I didn't know they planted trees, and pass along the knowledge how to ensure the growth potential of the same. These people handle them seleves with genuine care and understanding of their customer needs.
Also they are very responsive to your time lines. Call them and work with them.

I called Royal Tree Service to come provide a quote for a tree removal. They came on Wednesday June 28 and started the permit removal application with the City of Delta. The next day they sent out a third party arborist to assess whether the tree should be removed. He indicated that it should be removed as it had damaged shed, fence and was at risk of falling on one of 4 houses close by.

Elina, the Office Manager was amazing with getting all the appropriate paperwork in place with the city. The City approved the permit to remove the tree on Friday the 30th of June. How is that ever even possible? She deserves a raise for her super human efforts of getting this all in place so quickly

The team came out the following Thursday and the tree came down safely. We also had a team installing the fence and shed and they were in encumbered by Royal Tree Service as they were in and out in 3 hours. What a professional and efficient crew. I would recommend using this most specialized company for any tree removal requirements.

They plainly just get the job done in record time but safely and efficiently.

The Royal Wood Tree Service crew of 4 arrived right on time to remove two very large and very tall diseased birch trees. The leader of the team ran through how this would work as his crew set up heavy sheets of plywood to protect the patio stones in our fire pit which was beside the birch trees. Everything went like clockwork in a safe and organized fashion. The team leader did the climbing and cutting as the other men worked very closely removing all the cuttings and lowering the bigger sections of the branches and the massive trunk. Their equipment is first rate and I was amazed that their chipper could handle the huge sections of the tree trunk. In a matter of hours the trees were gone and the yard was cleaner then when they arrived. We highly recommend Royal Wood Tree Service.

Excellent work! Very happy with their professionalism. Had 3 very large cedar trees removed in Jan 2023. Also trees trimmed and hedges trimmed. The team was on time, polite, professional and did an excellent job cleaning up after the work in both our yard and our neighbours' yards as well. Highly recommend and would certainly use this company again.

Royal Wood came today and did a massive trim back on our property. Not only did they come early, they did a wonderful job, leaving the yard cleaner than when they came. Any questions I had were quickly answered. The owner John is extremely responsive and polite.

I am so thankful they were able to fit us into their schedule. We will most definitely be using them again next year.

The crew was great, professional and did a great job cleaning up the neighboring yards. We had a massive tree and 2 huge hedges removed and everything grounded down. We’ll definitely have them back in the spring for some more work.

We are a general contractor serving the lower mainland for over 40 years and the Royal Wood Team provided professional tree falling services in a timely and efficient manner throughout the process, from responding to our inquiry, quotation and the completion of services. Our first project with them required removal of trees of various sizes up to 125 ft tall in a limited space adjacent existing roadway, Power lines and homes and all works were completed as planned. Royal Wood Tree Care helped us remove a decaying cherry tree yesterday. The team showed up on time, was courteous, polite and professional. The arborist was very skillful. They even took extra care to not damage the plants in the working area. And add to that is their pricing was very reasonable and worth every penny.

The Royal Wood team recently removed a large cedar and some overgrown shrubs from our property. We are extremely pleased with the work that they did for us and highly recommend them. The 3 man team were professional and took down the tree safely with no damage to our adjacent shrubs and trees. They ground the stump and removed the wood and debris. Thank you for a job well done!

A couple of months ago, Royal Wood removed around 25 big trees from my strata's rooftop garden as room for the roots had no room to grow and were also starting to damage the membrane of our building (side note: pretty stupid to have trees in a garden that is not on the ground). A crane was required, and the project was not simple.

The team was highly organised and communicated with one another very well before and during the removal. I was highly impressed by how the team prepared for the day's work and the concern for the safety of everyone involved. The work was initially scheduled for two days but they completed the project in one. They also kindly trimmed some dead shrubs for us.

Would highly recommend Royal Wood to anyone who requires complex tree service!

During the huge windstorms in Vancouver in December 2018, we had a large (130ft) spruce tree come down in our front yard. It didn't hit the house or cars, but blocked access to our charger (we have two electric cars). I had previously used Royal Wood for other service, so I called them later that afternoon (storms still blowing and trees falling all around the city). They warned me that they were overloaded with emergencies (trees falling on and making holes in houses!), but they said they'd try to fit us in. In fact, they arrived at 9 that night (power out, so operating by helmet lights), and cut up and moved the fallen tree and debris so we'd have access to the house - fast work, checked with me to see that met my needs for the time being, and off to other emergencies. Back the next week, when they cut up, mulched and removed the tree (a complicated task, too much detail for here). Short story: fast, clean work, did everything they could to meet our needs in really tough circumstances, and reasonable price. Not the first time I have used them, and it will absolutely not be the last. Top notch.

Unprofessional. Tells me it’s gonna cost 3000 to cut a tree after coming to look at it. Once I approved, he tells me it’s going to cost me 3600 and he can’t do it for a month.

Now John, claims he had no contact from me, even though I have proof of him texting me a price and me saying okay, I also have proof of him calling me the same day in the late afternoon and he told me that he cant do it for the same price he quoted me and also cannot do it for a month. I ALSO HAVE PROOF OF HIM CALLING ME AGAIN A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO THREATENING ME TO TAKE OFF MY REVIEW.

These guys are AMAZING! We had 3 massive trees come down from our neighbors yard, taking out ours and part of our house. Royal Wood sent in a team of 3 guys who worked tirelessly to clear our yard of the debris! They are polite, friendly and I would absolutely hire them again! Thank you so much!

Second time using this company. They qouted the best price and completed the job satisfactorily.
However, both times they have jumped my locked gates into the back yard when I was not home to begin work. I did not authorize them to enter my yard without me being home to allow access. They also broke a number of cedar hedges around the birch tree they were hired to trim. More care and respect for the property would have gotten them 5 stars.

Not to belabor this, but a reply and clarification is in order.

1) An individual/company must absolutely have prior permission to enter private property.
Assumption does not constitute authority.
When I booked the appointment I made it clear that I had to be home. I have a large dog in the backyard and this could have ended differently.

2) As stated above the job was carried out satisfactorily at the agreed price. In other words they did the job they were paid to do. After the fact I noticed that part of my cedar hedging surrounding the tree was broken and I now have a large gap in the hedge

3) when I arrived home to find my gates open and the workers trimming the tree, I was concerned about my dog and about the fact that they had jumped my backyard fence and opened the gates to begin the work without me being home. I contacted the owner and he attempted to mitigate the situation. I informed them I would be posting an honest review.
Which I am. This is my experience with the company. So not sure why the surprise?
Three starts means the job was completed per the agreement. Five stars is for excellence beyond the basic contract work. Thus the three stars.

Royal Wood Tree Care did an excellent job taking down a tree in our yard. Professional, efficient and cleaned up everything. Highly recommended.
