My husband frequent here. The burnt ends are out of this world! Soo delicious. And such a beautiful location.

Best brisket I’ve ever had. The plating looked amazing and everything was delicious. Especially the horseradish! First time eating there and Will guarantee I’ll be back. My wife and I brought our toddler with us and the nice waitresses brought up some crayons and a high chair for her. Made the little ones evening that much better. Thank you!

Food was fresh, and our server was very friendly. We sat outside, and we were disturbed by the wasps, but that’s expected with the weather and the delicious food. I’d visit again. Good parking, family friendly

I would love to give this one a five star and I’m sure on some days it’s earned. Our food was great, the Two Loui’s Stout was perfect, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Our wait staff worked hard however the beer and food was slow to arrive. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that we arrived at the tail end of a rush and the kitchen got overwhelmed, so we’ll definitely be back.

Everything was so good in my mouth! The servers were the friendliest and we will be back! Chris probably just needs a good lay!

Had the Burnt Ends appetizer (very good) and a couple of their beers, the stout and the IPA. Excellent brews, definitely going back for a proper dinner sometime.

We were worried when we saw how busy they were. But we were seated promptly. Service was awesome, no shortage of staff in this establishment. And to top it off the beer and food was spectacular. We will be back

A first time visit paid off for my wife and I to this great little brew pub.
Nice quiet pastoral setting even through northwest bay road is nearby. The dog friendly patio out back was a plus.
Really appreciated the friendly owner, Jodie, taking the time to meet our dog and see how we were enjoying our food- Nice touch.
Cobb salad and the chowder were excellent quality choices-

There wasn't a beer we didn't like in our flight.
Probably a result of permit requirements for this new eatery (?) but was disappointed that the only signs visible in the back patio were what not to do.

Otherwise, 'very impressed.

Absolutely amazing food but the service was very poor. The food is worth the service but maybe plan on spending a lot more time than you expected

Farm to Tap is the motto here as they grow their own barley for the beer they brew. Chose this spot for dining today, not drinking, so I can’t comment on those. Quality clearly means a lot here as evidenced in the preparation of our dinner of seafood chowder, brisket dip and small Caesar salad. Chowder and it's accompanying focaccia (surprisingly sweet) held a bounty of fresh seafood including clams and mussels in the shell, an excellent scallop, both hard and cold smoked salmon in a heavily dilled cream stew. An excellent choice as it can be a meal on its own. Brisket dip was served hamburger style with cheese. Not very smoky, it was still nicely cooked with some crusty bits. The au jus was saltier than most so less was more. Caesar salad wasn’t your typical romaine salad. Instead, it was a mix of arugula, baby kale and some other types of lettuce, heavily covered with a zesty lemony dressing, plus crispy bacon chunks. Very good flavor with the tangy and savory profile. Our server was very personable and took great care of us. Very enjoyable visit and highly recommended.

Great experience here 2nd time around. The outdoor has a beautiful setting and indoor has a great ambiance. Food is excellent that is matched with excellent service as well. Jackie, our server was so patient and accommodating - she should be the manager of this place. Overall an excellent venue to stop by for great food and drinks.

We arrived as a group of 16. We were served promptly and we had the full attention of an excellent server the entire time. We were served promptly and most dishes were served within an acceptable time. Lovely location, and open and breezy. Very enjoyable evening. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The Kombucha was tasty, as was the flight of beer.

Most amazing dish ever.the "Brisket Burnt ends", perfectly slow cooked and seasoned these juicy bits of heaven! And the sweet pickle and onion side dish is sooo good.
If your a true Brisket lover and love that smoky flavor, then you also have to try the " Brisket Beef Dip", Also.they do take out with call ahead, show up and pick up your food with no hassle and they Taylor your order specifically to your requests without hesitation, We love this place! One of the best restaurants in all of Qualicum and Parksville hands down.

Amazing food/staff and atmosphere. Our server Caroline was attentive, funny and professional. The portions were perfect and the cost also. We will definitely be back. Thanks everyone!

Matt was our server and was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the menu and gave a fantastic recommendations. All around great service! Chicken and pickles starter was a little pricey however a perfect portion size and tasted great

Love this farm brewery. Great beer, delicious food, and friendly, knowledgable service. We enjoyed a lunch and a dinner while visiting Nanoose Bay last week. It can't be beat.

Nice place, no views or much to look at but friendly staff and good service. Prices are very expensive, $25 for a burger and fries, $15.50 for a small appetizer and $5.00 for a can of pop that cost less than $1.50 so I guess if you don’t drink alcohol you pay a 350% mark-up on a drink. Not sure if I would go back here again.

Gray food. Great space. The server was very busy and still managed to provide great customer service.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY AND NOT OWNED BY ANYONE WHO SHOULD OWN A BUSINESS. They claim to have a dog friendly patio. Our dog was spooked and barked when the owner approached quietly. In retaliation, the person responded "Don't bark at me! I'll bark at you, I own this place! " and walked off. When she came back to defend (I say defend because she could not see that she was in the wrong) herself after our waitress mentioned I was upset, the owner denied saying the above statement and said my dog was aggressive. Both my dogs did not bark until the end of our visit when she approached. But maybe they know a bad person when they smell one. Never ever would I recommend this location to anyone unless you like supporting people who look at their customers like bottom feeders. Should the owner read this, I recommend approaching things with your actual concern like "Is your dog aggressive as I cannot have aggressive dogs at my business. " See attached the photo of my "aggressive dog" who had a very enjoyable time at other breweries such as Fern & Cedar and Mount Arrowsmith Brewing Co.

A great new beer destination in Nanoose with tasty beers brewed by a long-time brewmaster who has crafted many award-winning beers over the years. The beers and the farm setting are second to none for me (5 stars), service is very friendly and attentive (4.5 stars), and the food is good but definitely on the pricey side (3.5 stars). Two meals here and I'm still looking for that go-to dish that wows me. The outside patio and picnic tables go a long way to get away from the loud inside area. All in all, a definite destination for great beer in a fantastic setting.

Must visit if you’re staying locally. Good beer and food. I’d recommend the fried chicken! Top notch service from a team of thoughtful staff. Check it out.

This place is the best Brewpub on the island. Farm to table as well. Excellent food, beer, service and scenery. Always busy. They don't take reservations. I can't overstate the excellent service.

A gem in the heart of Nanoose Bay. Brilliantly crafted beer that will please every beer lovers pallet. And the food goes beyond traditional Canadian pub fare. In the last two weeks, we’ve been here around six times, and each dish was well thought out, delicious, and made with local ingredients. And don’t forget about the service. Each staff that we interacted with was charming and kind. It’s no wonder this place is hoping.

I spent my birthday here with my family and my pup, and all I can say is that I’m SO happy that Nanoose finally has an awesome place to eat some creative, top-notch food. The venue is down to earth, literally—I’ve never seen barley growing so close to a brewery before. For those who enjoy being close to nature in an unpretentious setting, this is the place for you. I loved the buzz I felt in the air with all types of people enjoying their food and drink. Every plate we ordered was fabulous, and we would have had more but the kitchen was limited with staff. We ordered the chips and dip (chip lovers must try), chicken tenders (deadly salty sweet deliciousness) sushi (as good as well-loved sushi restaurants), Caesar salad, and chicken sliders. Our waitress was so personable and sweet which enhanced the eating experience. I don’t drink beer but my Dad said he appreciates what they offer. Can’t wait to go back!

All the beer here was delicious, and the food that we had (the chips and a burger) were absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back here! Chantel was a fantastic server and all of the staff we interacted with were attentive and friendly.

They had one of the best IPAs that I’ve found in all of BC. The food, setting, service were all great. One of my favorite pubs I’ve visited so far.

Drove by this place for a month or so - but was glad I finally decided to stop in. Great food, great beer, great staff. A great addition to the ever improving Nanoose Bay - and mid-island brewing scene

Absolute must eat here! This place has one of the nicest atmospheres of most restaurants I have been to. Open, airy, clean and fresh. Right off the beautiful fields with a large outdoor patio area. Food and drinks were fantastic and extremely friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Drive past often… parking lot always full so never stopped. Saturday afternoon decided to stop even thought parking lot busy. Was pleasantly surprised as seated right away on back patio. Flight of Beer was great and the beef brisket appy was amazing! The server was lovely and everything arrived in a timely manor. Will definitely be returning as local area. Highly recommend

I would have been happy ordering every item on the menu. Got the raincoast bowl, it was quite large and frickin incredible. Solid five stars. Absolutely eat here.

Great service, and beer was good. Lovely setting too! However, food could use some tweaking! Burger was good but the brisket was dry. Overall we were happy with our visit.

I’ve been to a lot of breweries but nothing like this one! The brewery has top quality food.

My experience at the brewery was nothing short of amazing. All of the beers were extremely tasty and delicious! The staff was very inviting and friendly. It made the experience that much better. To top it all off, the brewery sits on the land where the barley is made! Very cool experience

Easily a 5 star experience at the Rake. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful with a unique and one of a kind experience tasting delicious beer right on the farm. The beer is phenomenal and I definitely recommend the Mexican Lager!

The food is so tasty and top notch. When you visit Rusted Rake you get amazing food with incredible beer.

Next is the staff, they make you feel like home and everyone is so welcoming and charming at the Rake. It really makes the place such a good experience.
