Rutland Pet Hospital - Kelowna Vet Clinic

My family has been bringing our pets to Rutland Pet Hospital since I was 14.17 years later when my fiancé and I got our own dog, it felt like the obvious choice for us because I always remembered how much care they gave our family pets. They continue to give exceptional pet care and are great at answering any questions we may have and following up. Our dog (Ruby) sees Dr. Charissa and Ruby just loves her! Dr. Charissa is very sweet and gentle and we are so happy with the care she provides. We will continue to use RPH as our preferred vet clinic for the foreseeable future.

Great staff and a very well run place! I can tell you they all are understanding and kind.go there if you need a Vet Clinic to go to.

I've been coming here for thirteen years with my dogs and have always had good, caring service. We recently had to put down one of our dogs and everyone I dealt with was sensitive to my feelings. The vet was professional and respectful during the entire process.

They were so kind and compassionate when I brought my cat in to be cremated. Also when I came back to pick up her ashes. Thank you guys so much.

Was given a VERY high recommendation from a family member who had to find medical help for their new puppy (who arrived from the breeder with a life'threatening illness).
I called asking for information about neutering & vaxxing a 6mth cat for comparative pricing. The lady who took my call was very personable & patient. She ever so graciously took time out of her busy day to answer all of my questions & to give me advice on my new furry friend.

Booked an appt, which was set a bit longer out than I expected. I am from another province & a rural town; my experience there was I'd have an appt within a day or two for my pet to be seen, here there seems to a shortage of qualified, affordable clinics in comparison to population. Needs are being met, you just have to be patient if it's not an emergency (from what I've heard; not experienced myself)
A couple weeks before the set appt I rec'd a call about a cancelation & if I could bring my boy in the next day. Absolutely LOL. They were so amazing with him; he's a bit skittish & yowly. They LOVED on him so much! Even from the few moments I witnessed of their interactions, they offered him loads of reassurance & a sense of security. I sound like a bit of a nut-job helicopter pet parent but I'm good at reading whether someone is genuine lol.
The people working the front desk were personable & very friendly. They even didn't mind my anxiety-driven need to love on their friendly clinic kitty.
The Vet I spoke with after was very patient & took the time to answer ALL of my questions, even the ones not related to the actual surgery (my boy has/had some behavioral issues I was worried over).
1000% I would/will recommend this clinic to anyone who has a four (or more) legged friend!

The times we've used them their doctoring has been good but their communication needs improvement.

I made an appointment, they told me $80, when we picked up they charged $150. Then when the cat needed surgery they said to call at noon for an update, so I called and they said we were on schedule for a 430pm pickup, and my partner also called (not knowing I'd just called) and they said to pick him up in an hour and a half.

They are good where it counts, but I'm really struggling to get clear communication with them.

6 yrs back took my Dad & I’s cat for her spay…outstanding service.
Today, took my very special baby there for hers and yet again…outstanding. Veterinarian was great at explaining everything and front desk ladies and a gentleman were wonderful.
Highly recommend going there for any of your pet’s needs!
