After being coerced into replacing some fluids and being told to replace all of our brake pads by Mr. Lube, we came here for a second opinion and they did not disappoint!

After finding the cause of our rattling, fixing it for no charge, and letting us know we have a lot left on our brake pads, we left happy and will definitely be back for all of our mechanic needs!

These guys are top notch and my go-to mechanic in Vancouver. Trustworthy, reliable and reasonably priced, they don't over-sell you on anything you don't need. 100% reccomend to all my friends and family.

Highly recommended. John and his team do excellent work. We had been lax about regular maintenance: there was a chirping sound and the air conditioning wasn’t working. John fixed those issues and more. Now we make an annual appointment for a check up.

Never over-charges and always honest. He has told me several times when there is nothing wrong with my car, when other mechanics had told me to replace various parts and fluids, but he told me they looked fine and sure enough they were. Also very helpful for last minute appointments and never upset when I've wasted his time, even gave me a free taillight bulb when one had burnt out. Had a faulty parking brake sensor that he told me was not worth replacing after thoroughly checking my brakes. I will always choose S&M for all my auto service needs!

I am Very happy with S & M and my recent experience. They replaced my rear shocks on my Mazda. I called in the morning and they had me on the road again the same day in the afternoon. They also pulled out a drywall screw and fixed my slow leak. John gave me an honest quote and was friendly. I definitely will be coming back for any future repairs.

John is awesome! Had my car done in no time. Even helped me with a rattling problem in coming from my exhaust for free! His prices are about par but the service value makes it worth the price. I will definitely be returning!

If you drives RHD, forget about John to be nice. It’s just ridiculous. Got referred here, so I stopped by in S&M Auto for quote to change oil pan gasket on my older Landcruiser. First two questions as everywhere else: “Is it Diesel? Is it RHD? ”Boom: “I don’t work on RHD anymore. ” What a shame!: (

John is honest, to the point and very pleasant. Can’t say enough about his service and advice. Like everyone says…. A straight shooter.

Brought a vehicle in for pre purchase inspection. They missed that the thermostat was stuck open, rear brakes were worn out (cause of squeaking) and a/c did not work. Perhaps simply complacency but still sucked for me as the buyer, I could have bartered the price with the required repairs.for a 5 star shop I'm unimpressed.

Have been there twice - once for a major repair - and can't say enough good things about John & his team. Super friendly, great at what they do and won't overcharge you. He is busy (because he's so popular) so book in advance! 100/10
