Small park right by Gorge waters that connects to the Salish Sea, amazing park to walk around any time of day. You can capture some great views of sunrises and sunsets here, plus it's right by the bridge that often has a reversing falls. There's a community garden to the east side of the park.
My condo was on the Gorge waterway. I LOVED watching kayakers, paddle boarders, dragon boats, rowers, police patrols, swimmers, geese, ducks, seals, jumping fish, herons, gulls, crows, racoons, herons and the changing tides and being just 5 minutes from town.
This is one of my favorite places to commune with Nature in Victoria. Natural trails as well as city maintained pathways make this park an all ages and abilities accessible park. There are steep inclines along the waterfront so parents will want to keep a close eye on little persons but it is a great place to teach kids the basics of beginning outdoor natural exploring.
For those who have mobility challenges that require smoother pathways, this is an awesome natural park with maintained pathways that feel like trails.
Filled with a variety of mature trees and shrubs, benches and picnic tables for resting, family outings, with easy access by vehicle, foot, and on direct bus routes.
Saanich calls this a park that's stretching the meaning if park considerably. It's a walkway next to a road all be it has gorgeous gardens. This area is really lacking in a proper park. With all the new developments It is my sincere hope that Saanich addresses this sooner than later.
Wonderful walling paths. Little beaches throughout to sit and take it all in. Lovely park for the kids and dog park on the adjacent side. Parking is at a minimum with the restrictions however.
I gave this 3 stars because I remember back to when I was a kid. I used to be able to swim here back then. It was great but not so much now. But the park area's are still nice.
We drove from Portland, Oregon to go to Vancouver & Victoria to visit the Butchart Gardens & see & do all we could in Vancouver! This was nice to go here & just sit in quiet for lunch. Beautiful!
Very relaxing place to walk though the old Japanese gardens. Beautiful flowers along the way. The walk along the Gorge on the road side is nice as well.
A wonderful go-slow park. Take some time to enjoy the flowers, the birds and the waterway. Great benches and spots along the way to sit and absorb the beauty.
A beautiful park that is alongside the gorge water way. This is a perfect place for a family day or a evening stroll. If your looking for a place to jog this is also a great location as it is flat. Beautiful animals and nature to look at. And very quiet though a busy street is next to it. Enjo
