Great and delicious food! We recently dined here and were met with a amazing hospitality from the staff. They offered a range of foods but we decided to try the kebab's and pizza which were beautifully made and grilled with care put into each dish. Definitely worth the visit!

I went here with a group of friends for a birthday and was thoroughly impressed. The food was so delicious and the service was prompt and very friendly. I’m so glad we decided to try Saboo and can’t wait to come back. They’re obviously doing something right. Thanks so much for having us!

A clean and cozy family-owned restaurant with both Italian and Persian food. I tried different dishes each time being there including lasagna, Koobideh kebab and chicken and all of them were tasty and awesome.

I certainly can say the best Kebab and Chicken kebab in Great Vancouver. There is no word to describe the taste of crispy rice coming with the Dine in order, I can just say so very fabulous.
I have tried a bunch of Persian restaurants, but this one is unique based on quality, quantity, environment, welcome, and definitely the reasonable price.
A friendly reminder to those on a losing diet; I highly recommend you forget here since not only the food is so tasty, but it is also too hard to say no to dessert including Baklava, ice cream, and pie.

Starting with the atmosphere, it’s designed beautifully to make you feel like you’re dining in luxury, open space and gives you a comfortable and warm feeling to sit. They have air conditioning as well which makes eating comfortable on the hotter days.

The owners are two lovely humans who have the kindest hearts. I got the privilege to get to know them and they are both experienced chefs and have extensive background in cooking. It’s also great to learn that all their ingredients are selectively chosen to be higher grade quality (when you eat the food you can tell the difference between similar restaurants and here). I love that they are ran by a mom and pop who are husband and wife whom love to serve people real food. After all food is meant to be nutritious.

The food itself is always fresh, always comes out hot which means it’s made to order and I personally really appreciate that. I suggest ordering appetizers or salads while you wait for your main course to be made for you and the variety of both Italian and Persian dishes gives it a great selection. The pastas are to die for as the sauces are freshly made.

In conclusion, I welcome with open arms someone who took the time and investment to create a place like this for our North Shore community where families and individuals can go and find a taste of happy again in the midst of a fast paced world it’s refreshing to have this in our backyard.

It looked delicious. GENEROUS portions of meat, rice, and marinated onions. I especially appreciated the pepperoncini to add some zing.

My partner went in to pick up and said it was real nice inside. Modern and clean.

We will order again and explore another tasty option.

Simply best kebab I have ever had in Vancouver. Brautiful interior designing. Super nice owner. They have license for liquor as well. Best place for gathering.

One of the most authentic Persian food in BC. Food was fresh, great quality meats, small business family run.very nice family and will give great recommendations especially for first timers. They just opened not to long ago so best to go experience this place early before it gets packed in the near future.everything is nice and renovated, even the washrooms look really nice and modern, nice enough to take selfies LOL.i had there soltani kabab which is beef tenderloin and its super filling, worth the price.there Joojeh kabab is also really tasty and tender. Its a mix of beef and lamb, highly recommend.even the rice is good on its own! Definitely going to come back with family and more friends

We had our company dinner here not too long ago. They were able to accommodate about 10 of us. I can honestly say it is not only one of the best Persian restaurant in North Vancouver but one of the best restaurants in North Vancouver.

The Kebabs and pasta dishes were fantastic, and everyone in our group was completely full and satisfied. Everything was fresh, very well presented and top notch service. We really enjoyed our meal. We actually ordered some pizza as appetizers, and we were all shocked how good the pizzas were. In fact they maybe the best pizza in town!

We drove from Burnaby and it was well worth the trip. My only complaint is that I wish they were closer to where I live.:)

My new fav Persian Food. The Kebab was juicy and delicious. We love the crispy rice on top with saffron. The onion with sumac in the side made the presentation complete. Btw there is rear parking in the back and you can enter from the back door

Amazing food. We ordered the hazelnut pasta, the nachos, and the kebab koobideh. The meat and rice were incredibly flavourful. I also have nothing but kind things to say of the owners. They were very pleasant and welcoming. A great addition to the area! We will be back! Thank you

We went here on a whim and so glad we did. We had beef nachos which were amazing. For main we had the joojeh and koobide dishes. The crispy butter rice was fantastic. The protein well cooked and juicy. The owner came by and was very kind and friendly. We will definitely back!

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in North Vancouver. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The owners are amazing people who truly care for the customer. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Saboo to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in North Vancouver.

Restaurant was tucked away and we probably would have driven right by it. Glad we stopped in for a bite. We ordered the chicken, ground beef and beef tenderloin. The food was delicious (our favourite was the ground beef), the owner was very friendly and the place was clean. Food was a bit on the pricey side but I would definitely come back to try the other dishes.

Looks great inside. We had the beef nachos and calamari which were great. The sauce for the nachos is a must. Very friendly, Great service. Parking in the back.

To sum up this lengthy review in a single sentence: Saboo is a hidden gem run by a husband and wife team who are gems themselves. My folks and I are wrapping up a trip to Vancouver from Austin, Texas; we had dinner at this restaurant last night and were deeply impressed in a number of respects.

First, the food. We all had the kabob vaziri (pictured here—one skewer of ground beef, one skewer of boneless chicken) with bottles of doogh (a sour yogurt drink). Everything was first-rate. The ground beef was meaty and flavorful; the chicken was tender and luscious. The doogh is local and some of the most delicious I’ve ever had, possibly second only to the homemade variety served at the legendary Raffi’s Place in Glendale, California. The serving of rice, crowned with a golden crust of tahdig, seems like a deceptively small portion at first, but spread it out and you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that it fills up half the plate—a thin, elliptical plate which is itself uniquely tasteful and well-suited to the cuisine. Even the arrangement of the food was superb; it was laid out with such outstanding artistic presentation that I had to overcome my initial reluctance to ruin it.

Second, the atmosphere. It’s elegant but approachable and even cozy, complemented with a continuous mix of Persian music playing through the ceiling speakers at a moderate, unobtrusive volume. The space isn’t huge, but still far from cramped and dingy. The lighting is invitingly low, but not overly dark. It’s a great vibe all around. One thing to be aware of: parking is a bit of a challenge. There are no spaces for it outside their storefront, which adjoins a busy street. You have to go to the other side of the block and either park along that street or in the rear lot, which is fairly small.

Lastly, the owners. These people are deeply committed to using only quality ingredients and providing the best service possible. They take a refreshingly considerate “golden rule” approach to their cooking, always putting themselves in the position of the customer and serving him or her only food that they themselves would want to eat. Certain items on the menu may strike some as just a bit expensive, but given the generous portions and high quality of the food, I’d say pretty much everything is priced fairly and proportionately.

The exquisiteness of the food is obviously rooted in the sterling characters of the owners. Each dish they prepare is its own carefully crafted labor of love. We had a long and delightful conversation with them after finishing our meal, and were moved to hear how intensely devoted they were to starting this business and what great pains they took over the course of the COVID pandemic to finally get it up and running. They belong to a rare breed of people who cherish values that are timeless but lamentably vanishing—dedication, humility, respect, and profound integrity, to name just a few.

I don’t think anyone should wonder *if* Saboo will make it big, but *when. * It has only been in business for three months, but from where I was sitting last night, it seemed they were well on their way to success. Do yourself a favor and contribute to that success by becoming patrons of this establishment, whose food is every bit as fine as its owners. You will *not* be disappointed.

Visited today for the very first time! Found the place beautiful, warm and well designed.all the staff were extremely welcoming and respectful, food and service was excellent Highly recommend the Koobideh, Jujeh and Barg kabob. (we have tried these items so far!)

The most delicious Koobideh kebab I’ve had in Vancouver area. And the bone chicken was actual chick’s meat, juicy and soft.
Friendly staff and clean space, lovely music, we had a great time, and will definitely come back to explore Italian meals as well
