They'll give you an $86 ticket even if you shop there. If you step off the parking lot, they give you a ticket. Just put in pay parking instead of harassing your customers.

My friends and i went to safeway yesterday.my friend wanted to purchase a balloon and get it inflate but for some reason we had to wait 15-25mins for someone to help us.we asked staffs around who was incharge and they kept telling us “ok we’ll call someone for you” but never did.we waited for so long just to purchase a balloon

High prices but hey.it's Safeway. This a very busy location. Go in the morning for best selection and shorter lineups.

Was given a $86 parking ticket from Diamond Parking saying I left the premises when I never did and have a Safeway receipt showing I was indeed in the store at the time I was ticketed! I see from the other reviews that this seems to be occurring a lot so will never be returning to this location or any other Safeway for that matter! Absolutely appalling that they would steal money from customers like this and I refuse to support any company that does so.

Originally we gave five stars, but an experience happened that made us change our mind. We had an unfortunate incident with a cashier, Sim*n, who tossed paper bags our way when we asked for them and left us to bag our products ourselves. But she then enthusiastically made conversation with the next customer in line and helped with her bags. This cashier doesn’t seem quite fit for this retail business, and hopefully if she reads this, she will understand that “architecture is also a field in which cooperation and civility is very important if she ever decides to make good on her college degree. ”. Also Safeway customer service is also a joke or something.look all the one star comment, the attitude of the cashier is always the problem but Safeway Company seems really don’t care about that! If you want a better shopping experience, maybe try another one!

I was given an $86 ticket by Diamond Parking at this location claiming that I left the premises which I never did at all. Then they declined my appeal and gave no option to appeal further. Will no longer shop at any Safeway as long as they are using these tyrannical scammers Diamond Parking to enforce their parking.

If you wanna be judged and rudely talked to, please shop at this place. Full of weirdos, old privileged W trash pickle customers. It was like shopping back in the days of 1950s before MLK LOL so funny.

Inconvienient if you need to quickly pick up something. No self checkout. Never enough checkouts open. One checkout open and ten people waiting! This seems to be the norm when ever I have been here. Today I walked out and went across the street to Shoppers Drugmart in protest.

A good selection of "nicer" products for most things, like they've got more nut butter options than your average grocer. It's a bit of a smaller location though.

Went to this Safeway for grocery, put my groceries in the car and walked over to shoppers across the street. Came back to find a $85 parking ticket because “I walked off. ” It’s ridiculous how a free parking lot restricts you to one location and you can’t go to any other stores in vicinity. It’s not like I parked here to take advantage of your free parking. I bought groceries from Safeway.

Always well stocked but it is so ridiculously busy that the queues for the till snake through to the back of the store. The Staff are wonderful and friendly once you finally get there but there’s no self-scanning section so wait times can be upwards of 20 minutes, even worse on a Friday evening. In the morning they only had one cashier working so there’s no such thing as beating the rush. The butcher department is often unattended and the deli staff aren’t able to assist in that area so expect to wait there too while they try find someone. Would suggest going to the Safeway on Broadway for a better experience or if you can, try the Arbutus one for an amazing grocery shopping experience.

Smaller, older store. Limited selection & major staff shortages. Huge line-ups at check-outs. It's clean. Convenient late hours for late-night shoppers.

This is my go to Safeway stop. They have a great selection, the staff AR helpful and most of the time it's not horribly busy and I've never had a problem with anything not being fresh.

Always great service with a smile at safeway. I would encourage you to always ask people if they have air miles though. Also send your products to quest food exchange for a tax break that helps people that cannot afford food. Its a win win for the company and the people that benefit from Quest Food Exchange services! Thanks for your great customer service. Safeway always has good prices and lots of new healthier meat and product choices.

DO NOT COME HERE! Every time I shop here there is a horrendous line. Slowest cashiers/ system. I have been standing in line for 10 min not moving and there are still 7 people ahead of me. Whole foods, IGA, superstore has long lines but they move quickly. I do everything I can to go anywhere but this particular store. 10-15 people in each line but only half the registers open.

Unless you are there at 8 am the lineups are ridiculous. Multiple check outs with no staff. Today I just put down my groceries and walked out.

Nice quick stop with free parking! A little bit small inside, and the queue for the checkouts are a little long sometimes, but not terrible the times we've been in.

It is a very standard grocery store, if you like groceries and/or eating you will likely not be disappointed. As a bonus they also have cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and over the counter medicine

Great store with awesome selection of plant based meats, love to see local brands such as The Very Good Butchers in multiple places in the store!

Very expensive supermarket to shop at. But I guess for those living in that area they really don't have much choice. Fresher and cheaper at Asian supermarkets for sure.

This safeway provides a clear cut selection of fresh fruits and veg, it also has a starbucks inside so you can get a coffee before or after your shopping (if you can balance it), friendly staff, clean floors, and they take covid seriously

Usual Safeway fare.took me longer than usual to shop as their product isles have been rearranged.

It has its own beauty. Safe place to shop during this pandemic situation. Anything and everything under one roof.

Awesome service, and great pre-cooked meals that are very affordable, like $5.00 for a full lunch meal.

Very crowded aisles. Felt like every aisle was being stocked with staff blocking the way. Checkout clerk average and a bit aloof. Not a great shopping experience.

Last time I was at this particular Safeway, I watched a security guy get into it with some dude and take him down. No idea what the scuffle was about as it was done and over with in the time it took me to step out of the car. But I have to admit I was rather impressed with the security guy's skills.

That aside, this specific store gets my stars for the convenient location more than anything else. They're well stocked, but that's basically every Safeway out there.

Staff are friendly too. Just don't mess with their security guy:)

Unfortunately at this Safeway you usually cannot pay for food and meats at the deli counter meaning you have to line up at the deli counter for you're stuff then line up again at the groceries checkout which usually takes 25+ minutes.

I live 4 blocks away. Location is walkable and convenient. Selection is good for a medium sized store. Bakery is top notch. Typically has enough tills open so only have to wait 1-2 customers at most in line. New renovation looks nice.

Total price gouging! Safeway selling pumpkins for $5 & No Frills selling pumpkins for $1. Our Safeway pumpkins didn't even turn into carriages!

Newly decorated and rearranged. Great cashiers and floor helpers. Couldn't reach item on top shelf and an employee got it for me.

Love Safeway. I went there maybe intoxicated and told the cashier “god bless America” idk why but she didn’t even mind it which was cool and saved me embarrassment?

It's my go-to grocery store. I like their selection of bread and it's not too large to get lost in. Good grocery store for the neighborhood.

A great store for staples and most stuff you'd want.it's a smaller store, so they don't always have the same stuff/amount of stuff that their larger counterparts do, but they have great staff (particularly Mary) who can get you in and out in no time.lots of parking.

My cashier was wearing their face shield on top of their head like a hat. I asked him whether the store had a mask or face shield policy and he told me “if I don’t like it, don’t shop here”. Ok.

Just love their deli section. When I'm heading to the beach, we try and hit this Safeway for their great sandwiches.
