Located downtown kelowna, close to me good friendly service, reasonably priced, good fresh produce and meats

Bought nuggets from Safeway. It wasn't getting cooked disgusting. I have uploaded a pic on how it looks like after 15mins of cooking

Shopped at Safeway, left the parking lot for 5 mins to grab something next door and came back to an over 100$ fine. Lovely.

Absolutely ridiculous! Will never shop at Safeway again and I encourage you to do the same.
Parked at Safeway and went across the road to shoppers drug mart to grab a prescription. Then i went into Safeway and purchased groceries when I got back to my vehicle there was an $80 fine for leaving the parking lot.

Un friendly staffs this store as I never see over 25 years shop at Safeway. Not sure how the management train staffs.

Super friendly staff! Great deli sandwiches at affordable prices! Lovely selection of quick to go fruit or cheese and meat platters.sandwiches and wraps individually wrapped to go are super tasty for budget prices! Quick service with actual human beings to service you, I love that I come to this store for quick service, friendly smiles and they still do my bagging and keep people of all ages, cultures and abilities employed! This is my store to support! Don't let the homeless outside scare you away. There is a Starbucks inside to help you cool down for a nice treat while your shopping!

Today, at 12: 06 on the 12th of October, while I was checking out, I got an absurd thing from a male cashier. Throw items and cards on the floor. Me and my wife were racist by the cashier man. We use the safeway there often. I feel very bad and angry today. It is written on the receipt as served by: MITCH W.

There are quite a few plant-based products in designated areas in Aisles 3 and 9 (including Violife cheeses and seasonal soy, coconut and oat nogs), but I saw several non-vegan items erroneously in those sections. There is not a lot of organic produce.

Today (October 12) at 12: 06 PM, my husband and I were racially discriminated against by a male cashier at Safeway. The man did the very bad thing, tossing the goods we bought there and my card on the floor for no reason. We were very angry. I will not reveal the name of the man on the receipt. My husband and I are very upset and angry because of his bad behavior. Hope this doesn't happen in the future.

Great bakery as they actually make some of the baked goods in house by a professional Baker. Also they have a fantastic clearance cart at the back of the store with fantastic deals. For the most part I try to stick to buying meats, baked goods, produce and floral for them as they are high quality. However for the rest of my shopping I normally do it other chain stores as the prices are just lower on the same products.

They take great care in making sure everyone is welcome and that all your needs are met with friendly faced and smiles love this place

Last of one of the best, a company that takes care of its employees and its customers. A dying breed.

Clean and well staffed establishment with more than enough variety to get by with most meals, specialy or imported specialty items are hard to find if not, non existent.

The meat department at Safeway is one of best in Kelowna. All the staff that work in this department go out of their way to assist you and make sure you have received the best service and product available.

I shop there pretty much every day because I live just down the road, I just wish they had a bigger bakery department and deli department.always good staff

Mostly I go here; because it's right next door - still, there's a lot to be said, when GOD insists I go here.and I really have no complaints.

It's a decent grocery store. But when I'm in line and have homeless people insulting me and being rude to others for no reason. Management doesn't do anything to help a paying customer I have to give it 1 star. Really disappointed in Safeway

Great little deli set up. Feeds the lunchtime crowd well. Updated 07 14 21. Went shopping around for crab legs today and found the best deal here today. Big legs and lots of meat.beat the fresh seafood dealers by far. Never had crab that good.

Good store. They have pretty much everything you need for grocery shopping. Some items are a bit pricy. Pastries are good.

Safeway kelowna downtown location has so many wonderful employees been shopping at this location 17ish years. I think everyone there deserves a raise

Such a rude pharmacy team. I was asking for help since I am new in town and the pharmacists at the counter blew me off. They berated me my as to why I am asking them for help and said they were busy. Incredibly awful first impression of the pharmacy team. Will not use the pharmacy here ever.

Great location, easy to enter and exit.
Decent selection with friendly staff to answer questions if needed.

Overall a pretty good shopping expirience. This is our usual store and will continue to use as long as they are here.

This is a much better grocery shopping experience than at Shell down the road. 5/5 Would recommend if you don't want to leave it.

Ok place, but the prices are way to high. Staff is real nice.
They don't have great gluten free selection. In fact they dont have gluten free bread. They have some things in the cooler but I wouldn't take them if they give to me for free.

This store is a good size. They are higher priced than other stores but the staff is friendly and helpful. On a busy highway (Hwy 97) so lots of people use it. The produce isn't always fresh but most of the time it's good. One thing I like is they have plenty of cashier's working.

Safeway goes above and beyond! Always the freshest bread! And they make the best seafood dip in down. If you're lucky to snag some before it's all gone!

I go really early in the morning to get thr best deals. Dont go at supper time though. It's crazy.

Beyond the amazing sandwiches, not much good to say here. Worst produce in the city, always goes bad within a couple days and looks terrible on the shelf in the store. They constantly have expired loaves of bread being sold at full price (not just one, the full shelf), and everything is pretty overpriced. Head over to the IGA across the highway or head towards the mall for better stores.

Needed some items this morning. I usually dont shop as it's right downtown and I live in the central part of Kelowna and don't drive. I like it. Will go back plus some prices are cheaper

Friendly awesome staff, although not enough when busy, meats and fresh fruits and vegetables are very much appreciated. I’ve learned to go to Safeway first if I want quality.

I would like to thank the ladies in the Florist department, so kind, and so helpful with my order. The gifts were appreciated.

They closed the wrong Safeway. This one is dark, narrow isles, product is in more than one place, vegetables are limited and not very fresh. It's very run down, parking bad etc. Only go there every 6 weeks for certain products

Aisles are a little crowded at times, but I'm usually shopping during rush hour and it's not a huge grocery store. Cashiers are quick and very friendly, as are the staff working the department counter I've dealt with.

Amazing local store. Best part is that I mentioned to the assistant manager that I was looking for the compliments ketchup kettle chips and he ordered the in for me! That's the kind of service that keeps me coming back here.

This location, Safeway Downtown Kelowna, goes beyond being a well run neighbourhood grocery store, they truly stand by their values of community involvement, hunger prevention, sustainability, and accessability.

Terrible customer service. Had to use the bathroom for an emergency and the 2 tellers working at the time wouldn’t let me in. I was in a real emergency and bought $100 worth of items and they refused to let me use the bathroom. The store was a real mess, and will definitely not recommend this location.

Despite the fact that this store is in desperate need of an upgrade, (narrow aisles, dim lights) shopping was a pleasant experience. Largely due to a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Shelves were mostly well stocked, and checkout was quick.
