Safeway Fort St John

So far I have found FSJ Safeway to have great produce for the price, varies which items are the freshest, I believe the produce truck comes Thursdays. Natural food section, seafood, meats, deli and bakery here, I find the French baguette sell out fast though. Lots of self serve check outs and regular tills. Easier to find parking here than Save On or No Frills, especially for trucks with long trailers.

Great clean store. Friendly helpful staff. As with most grocery stores, the typical cart/basket troubles plague them, but it's workable. Been a Safeway shopper for 20 years and don't plan on changing.

Safeway is very good to shopping. My wife works in a Safeway so I usually try and go there as much as I can cuz we collect the points for food. The only thing there wasn't enough cashiers sometimes when I went there. I don't like self-checkout. It's too easy for people to steal food through there

Great service! Mix up on tires ordered, not the fault of this store, but they went out of their way to make it right. Very happy with Kal Tire in Fort St John, thank you.

Awesome place. The manager, Andrew McKee, is very responsive to customer concerns. Hazel helped me with getting a large order at the sale price although I’m out of town and couldn’t get there in time. Sharon in the floral department has been so helpful and cheerful. There are others - they have somehow acquired a lot of very good people. Congrats to Andrew on a job well done!

I usually enjoy using self checkouts, but the tills at the self checkouts here run quite slow, and I can’t scan my points card at it, like I can with a cashier.

They have wide variety of fresh produce with reasonable prices.
You can find any kind of cheese that is my favorite part.
Also fruit, bread and meat’s products are so tempting.

I had to change my review. The store has gone downhill fast since the did renovations. The bakery is a sad place, the deli is disappointing, they have a seperate organic section which is asinine and requires the shipper to go to multiple locations for products which used to be kept together, they are getting rid of any brand choices and replacing everything with their own in-house brand, and product availability is dismal, one day it's there the next day it's gone forever.

Always clean, fast lines, friendly staff and great produce. My only complaint is that they often run out of stuff fast; particularly in the Salad produce section as well the bakery.

This is grocery central for me. They are open late which is a major help. Knocked a star off for layout, and glitchy self checkout machines.

Management is inappropriate, and very unprofessional. They have no active listening skills, no conflict resolution skills. They lack basic customer service skills.

Decent selection, but usually the most expensive grocery store in town.

Also no donuts, like, ever. They used to have them daily.

I usually only go here if I can't find what I am looking for anywhere else in town. I Find the prices to be on the high side.

Long lines at checkout. For having so many checkout lines you’d think they’d have more than two cashiers on duty. Can’t even use the self checkouts because they’re closed too.

Food shouldn't be this expensive. It's always 25% more than other grocery stores

It's a decent location for my needs. Tills are usually quick. I do find selection to be limited to popular items only and the stock levels in the shelf are low on many items, especially iced tea and dog food. Bring your own bags or be willing to pay. The good parking stalls are always full, but the side of the lot has open stalls if you don't mind a few extra steps. Most handy feature is they stay open until 11 at night, and that's mostly why I go there.

A wonderfully friendly experience especially the young and determined woman who spoke to me outside. Empowerment all the way. Peace and ️ young Alley!

Safeway is one of my favourite grocery stores, they have wide aisles so you rarely have to say “just gonna scootch right by ya”. The employees are friendly and helpful. And I like the gas discount coupons you get at the end)

Typically good selection of produce and specialized foods. Sale prices good. Everyday items not so much for some.

We were here to buy a cake around 10pm and nobody was there to help us out at bakery section so we went asked for help the lady at deli section. That lady was so rude she just ignored us I asked her can you send some help at bakery but she just busy whatever she was doing so i went at front and asked for help. Confusing layout. Safeway seems to want you to go down every aisle. Employees don't know where products are.

Really enjoy shopping at Safeway, they have a huge produce section, I don't shop there as often as I would like to as I find them a bit more pricey then the.competition. Their deli and bakery are awesome and I especially like their build your own sandwich and Flatbread.

It's a fairly new store they have everything you want good Bakery and the sandwiches they make are fantastic
