The very end cashier lady, she was at the beginning nice and smiling, then she scanned everything and pulled up the paper bag, as per my request, and throw it just on the stuff, I asked her nicely May you please put the stuff in the bag? She said yes I can help you with it, my feeling was that she was not happy with it as she put the stuff in the bag folded it and sort of slammed slightly on the counter, (I may be wrong though) I have no complaint about it just have a message to the cashier, I appreciate your help, if you are not happy with your job then just quit, if you accepted to do this job, then please try to do it with right customer service, when you are driving the cashier role the customer would deserve more curtesy just as your customer. Please try to be nicer.

A nice alternative to Save On. While it is less crowded the prices are similar. They have POKE! Their produce is well presented but I bounce between the 2 grocery stores, depending on the sales. The bakery could improve its' selection.

I used to live in Lynn Valley and shopped at Safeway all the time. Now I live in Lower Lonsdale and cannot stand the destruction going on at Esplanade so I am back at Safeway. I do not have a car and am so happy that they have free delivery - now they are even better then before and I did not think that could happen. Thank you so much and I hope Safeway stays no matter what happens there with development.

Bad experience!

As announced by the network, there would be a meat offer for 5.99.

I went to the store yesterday around 6: 30 p.m. And I didn't have it. I came back to the store today at 5: 45 p.m. And I didn't have it again. I went to ask the butcher shop, rang the doorbell 6 times, waited for 10 minutes and no one answered me. I then went to the costumer service that also had no one, I waited for 6 minutes and no one showed up.

I think there is very little affair with the customer, and this is not the first time I realize that products on offer are not found on the shelves.

I don't know if the problem is only with this store, but I don't recommend this network anyway.

Good store in general, but they have a policy of hiring people and then letting them go after a couple of months just before their probation period is over, then hiring new ones. Always has a "hiring new staff" sign out front, and staff members with "trainee" name tags. This is cheaper for them and they can let staff go before they have to give them a raise and benefits (it's a union store). They are not the only ones doing this but it is unfair to people who trusted them.

Very clean and well structured. My favourite part of this specific Safeway location is the bulk foods section. It's got the most variety compared to the rest.

Used to be great. Now under new management with slow, disinterested staff and higher prices. Best to head to the Save-On across the parking lot. Great pharmacy tho.

They offer lots of promotions and easy to park.
Lots of groceries and every stuff is organized well. It is a definately usefull place for lynn vally people. Also the pharmacy has a great service.
The are always trying to listen to customers voice and find proper medications.

Always get what I want Yes it may cost more on some things but I know Safeway/thrifty and fresh-co stores use alot of local product especially when it comes to produce and they themselves are owned by a Canadian company Sobeys which is owned by Empire Sobeys parent company is a Canadian company as well.

The staff are all very friendly and treat every client professionally. They do a great job of keeping their store very clean and safe for everyone who frequents their store.

Very good selection of very fresh produce. Prices equivalent (if not a bit lower) than the Save-On across the street, but what gets it a 5-stars is just the overall experience of shopping there. Somehow it seems less.claustrophobic than either the Save-On or close-by SuperStore. Aisles are nicely laid out, parking is simple, doesn't feel like you're fighting anyone for anything.

If it has everything you need on your trip, I'd recommend this Safeway over the Save-On across the parking lot.

Very nice. Made some imrovements at checkout making it easier for people bringing their own bags.

Too many people without masks but staff says nothing. Not over yet people. Safeway make us feel Safe

Noise violations on a daily basis. Trucks unloaded after midnight. Morning milk cart throwing and idling of delivery trucks starting at 6 am. Their is an apartment 5 meters away from your delivery dock. We get less than 5 hours of a break at night noise free. Start respecting your neighbourhood.

Like shopping here friendly staff always get what I need. But as a bartender Iam not very good at bagging my own groceries. HAHA

Nice friendly store that has good cheese and meat. Love the staff here. Parking is also available and convenient.

Let's see.this Safeway shares a parking lot with a larger mall but if you dare visit any other store other than the Safeway you'll get a ticket. This is a horrible business practice. If you manage to step inside, you'll be transported back to 1973 which seems to be the year they last did any maintenance to the building.

The people at this location always go above and beyond, it's a great place. Special thank you to Julia who helped me out in a pinch on my lunch break, made my day!:)

Don't park at Safeway, you will be fined by a horrible company with questionable business practices.

This store only has one cashier at night or a maximum of two cashiers and we have to stand in line for a long time.

Neat and clean safeway store like other Safeway stores. Staff at this location is really helpful and nice.

It didn't carry the Dutch Brownies in the bakery that I was after. Needs a facelift like the others! Great location and friendly staff (at least the one's that served me today!).

This place is amazing. Its got a ton of food inside, organized into different sections. Even a bit that has lots of different kinds of cheese. They give you a cart with wheels on and you can fill it up with anything you want. Heaven.

The best safeway in North Van, however a bit busy and surrounded by construction. Will be a 5 star location once construction is done.

Just got plants but they had sanitizer at door friendly.v organized.easy parking even with construction!

Great friendly staff in an old school small town grocery store. The perfect remedy for the superstore.

This place has the most mouth watering potato salad from their deli! I would highly recommend their greek style one. It is by far the best.

This store has everything you need for one stop shopping. The area is under construction so parking lot can get busy with congestion.

My review is based mainly on the sandwiches. I got the 5.99 sandwich and there was almost no meat on it. I couldn't even taste it when I ate it, just the single cheese slice. I like Safeway sandwiches, but not this one. I think if you get the delux for 50 cents more you get more meat.

Old and disorganized. Prices not clearly displayed for many items. Low stock levels all the time.
