Old outdated grocery store.been comming here for years, I wish people would wear deodorant more. I took a mask during covid at the front desk an a lady tore a strip telling me it's for staff? Put it in the staff room then yah hag. It's decently clean lots of over priced items for your enjoyment

Our local Safeway is out of all kinds of staples.come on Safeway.don't make me go elsewhere!

Standard Safeway with typical goods and service that you can expect from all Safeways. The decor is very dated at this location.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The store was well laid out. When you entered it looked bright and everything looked enticing.

DO NOT WORK HERE during the OVERNIGHT shift! The assistant night manager Rob is literally a maniac, at 10pm the store closes and turns into a Hells Angel Store with heavy metal music. He got way too close for comfort and almost physical with with me all while just trying to explain how to stock never met a madman like him. Wish the main Manager Paul would just make him work alone instead of hiring new people to work with him, new hires shouldn't go through such trauma with a old man who has never had a normal human interaction or never worked anywhere else since he 19 pretty obvious he is buds with Paul

Very small and crammed together. Not enough walking space, especiallywhen you'repushing a cart and a stroller. Good for locals for conveniency. Also I didn't see a public washroom?

Love this Safeway. Always stocked, great people, lots of amazing things to eat and buy for lunch on the go with incredible staff to help you out. I've shopped at Safeway for over 40 years and they're still at the top of their game!

Thanks Paul for saving my lost wallet and calling me to pick it up, it's really important to me, otherwise my loss is not just cash, credit cards, driver's license. This makes me feel Safway again Not just a store, It’s a part of our neighborhood actually

I go out of my way to get to Safeway in Ocean Park. Not only is this a sleepy relaxing little neighborhood but Safeway is not a monster superstore. The interesting selection of frozen seafood is worth it alone! And they have great deals on meat if you come after 5pm I believe. Just wish their organic produce was a larger selection.

Although this place is better then the pen. Village location as far as staff, my guestion is, since when do onion rings become potatoe Wedges. Seriously. This is the second time. O N I O N R I N G S please. Not potatoe Wedges. I said it 3 times

By far the worst grocery store experience I’ve ever had in several occasions, stood in one of two 10 or more person line ups for 15 mins waiting to pay then was charged $ 19.99 for a pack of paper towels that were on sale for $4.99. From what I could tell there were only two people working in the entire store at 7 pm

The Shopping carts are very good quality. Soft plastic sides if you find yourself inside one. Cup holders, Incase you brought a beverage. All shopping carts tested had high quality rolling wheels. The shopping carts handled well at low and high speed. Dispite the plastic the basket held up well to small jumps and drops. No problems with high speed curb jumping. "What a rush" exclaimed one rider. 10/10 would return to race shopping carts.

Didn't have everything I wanted. The things they did have were not in the size quantity I wanted/needed.

Wish you’d start selling green and/or scent free cleaning and washing products like Green works or Seventh Generation - dishwasher powder, glass cleaner etc. Everything is just the big old traditional products

Needs new Store Manager and especially the 1st assistance. What you don't see is apparently in plain view of employees

The staff members are very friendly. Having said that, the milk and cream are oftentimes older than expected.

For a local grocery store you can't top it, friendly and helpful staff make it a joy to go there along with the lady selling lottery tickets.

Cashiers are terrific. No mandatory masks required here. They often have really good specials on different things.

Time for Safeway to make wearing a mask mandatory for all customers

Safe store! Management is great and seems to keep a strick eye on number of people in the store, so occasionally there is a short but fast-moving lineup. Most people wear masks and follow directional arrows. They have a man designated to cleaning your buggy as you leave the store.and someone giving out clean ones! Well done!

Not the biggest grocery store and not the best selection but friendly staff and quality products you expect to find at Safeway. The downside I have found is that sometimes it takes a while to check out. This was before Covid so things are different now obviously.

Very convenient location and plenty of parking.shelves well stocked.smaller supermarket so easier and faster to find what you need.

Store was clean and well organized. Security staff were at the door monitoring customer counts. Was easy to navigate the aisles and it didn't feel crowded.

Until today, I considered this store a haven during the pandemic. The store sanitizes the carts, provides hand sanitizer, and has well-marked floors to show you how to social distance. This was still true today.

However, my experience at the cash register was a minus five, in my opinion. I felt crowded between the next customer, who was getting impatient, my cashier, who didn't know the price of the new hand sanitizer just out on the floor, the cashier behind me, and the stock person who darted in to pile up some kind of supplies right behind me. This meant three Safeway staffers getting within a foot or two of me repeatedly. I had nowhere to get away from them.the next customer in line was already crowding me.

After the fifth time I felt crowded, I sputtered, "Jeez, could you please observe social distancing? "

The cash register was closed at once. I got a little space. I felt like the crazy person, though. Was I, really?

A nice strip mall. With some unique stores and services in it and around it. Pretty busy parking lot.

Meh. High staff turnover rate. Expensive. Prices. Store has new managers every few months. Some staff are very rude and unfriendly. Especially in the bakery. Most of the staff look very unhappy.

Normally I like this safeway. I always go for the take out food, chicken strips & wedges deal. Before they gave you a decent amount of wedges but now they weigh it all and it is a very small portion from before. Was told management made them have to follow these new guidelines. Will not come back anymore.

I love shopping here. Still has a small town feel to it and you can easily find what you need.

Ever since Amber left, the bakery service is getting worse.bread is getting old and has been on the shelf for days.the deli staff are friendly and its nice to see the new young friendly cashier girls.

Convenient location but the prices for items that are not on special have to be amongst the highest in the peninsula. Staff is friendly and seem to not experience much turnover giving you a small town feeling and for the most part very knowledgeable as to where to find items. The size of the store is also great giving you great selections in a reasonably small store. I dislike huge supermarkets!

Busy place. Today especially. The usual fare for a Safeway. But this store is in need of a major renovation. Should have been done ten years ago. And too many of the checkout clerks have a negative attitude toward customers. Probably long time union members with guaranteed jobs. Whatever, they don't help the store's image.

I used to live by this store and found it to be a great place to shop. The staff are still great, but today my cashier was distracted but hey everybody has a bad day once in a while. Love their meat, best rib eye steaks of anyplace I've shopped.

Absolutely adore this place there on the ball like no other Safeway is. I asked for them to make me a Greek salad because I'm pregnant and craving one and they did no problem. EVERY BODY HERE is a amazing and very attentive and friendly Thank you your the best Merry Christmas

Helpful staff, fairly affordable pricing considering the lack of competition in the area, clean, easy to navigate, but the people are what make it. Great cashiers and staff make this location feel like part of the community.
