Safeway is now in the habit of not restocking their fresh products until all the old and almost outdated product is sold. At these prices Safeway.give us the fresh stuff and stop being so greedy.

This location looks great after renovations! It’s modern, spacious and bright. They added lots of new groceries, including some frozen meals I have only seen in US and some Eastern European products. Their bakery is pretty good. It’s now one of my go-to stores in the neighbourhood.

An amazing grocery store filled with eye appealing layout, surprising food specials, and huge delicatessen! Worth the few extra dollars for certain. The store is clean and the friendly knowledgeable staff complete this gem grocer!

This store has leaking fridges that create puddles of liquid. Josh, the store manager, has failed to communicate with me.

The staff inactions speak louder than words.

They have not improved where the products are going. I dont know the genius who decided to change things. I guess I will go to Superstore, prices are better then Safeway. GREED GREED GREED and they make great profit.

Clean store, try to keep stock to the best of their abilities, always helpful, the pharmacy is good and always wanting to help.

Bit over priced. I get static shocks continually while shopping. Fantastic bakery and great customer service.

After going to this store for 1 yr now I can say that it has clean, well stocked even threw the Covid-19 period. Many new younger staff that r still in training so I ask folks for patience with them. I have only one concern. Aa an Health and Safety Officer the layout in the entry and front of the store is not well planned for folks with disabilities, blind or using scooters, wheelchairs. I do not quite understand stand the layout of the flower dept as the displays take up valuable floor space for customers to stand especially when there is only 2 tills open. I am aware rhàt some of the layout maybe for security. The same issue on the bread dept way to crowded. ️

Best Bakery around. Produce is amazing as well. Love shopping here. Just wish they had more checkouts open. You have to wait a while most of the time.

The potato salad I bought from the deli was inedible due to 5he potatoes being so und err cooked they were crunchy.

I love this shop, but today I met two garbage guys who were grossly racist. I went to the glass milk bottle (and here a few times before), a man finished the work of one of the clients in front of me and ignored me and walked out of the counter, there was another older man outside the counter, I greeted them and said back the bottle, they asked me to go to the cashier, when I got to the cashier, a lady looked in the direction of their counter to look for them, both of them were gone. Obviously, there was a notice of returning the bottle where they worked, and I believed that was their job responsibility, but they refused without reason. I wouldn't go there again, never

Love this safeway it has everything you need ready to eat food for quick lunches, lovely flowers and a starbucks!

Good array of stores almost one stop shopping. Parking is not thwart with collision risk like Semiahmoo mall is.

Great place.its my go to spot for all my munchies n food. Great selection, good prices.except for today ofcoarse, I think everything doubled in price.that sucks, not like their not getting enough biz during the holidayZ.cheers

It's Safeway. They had some good deals but nothing special.was surprised when they charged me for paper bags. That's just crazy but it's better than plastic bags I guess.

Old store, showing its age like many other safeways in this region. Expensive but no competition.

Staff is very helpful and always willing to smile. Somewhat disappointed to see changes in pharmacy staff. Hope these are not permanent.

Whenever I go there for grocery shopping I use self check out, and If I need help with something I can not find anyone who can help me. The other day this cashier was standing there, she looked at me couple time. The light was flashing which mean customer need help she never came and asked if I need help, she was talking to other cashier the hole time. After waiting for several minutes I had go there and ask for help. This was not for the first time every time I shop there.
I wouldn't write this if it was the first time.

Never enough cashier's and the worst bakery of any Safeway, every bread is just white bread shaped different ways. I wish the bakery could get lessons from the Safeway on Oak and King Ed in Vancouver.

This is my last resort to go to for groceries.

Busy store. Meat section is awesome and sale prices are the best around! Had a prime rib roast cut into steaks and they were massive. Each steak was over 1.5lbs! So tender.

I purchased a balloon and a bouquet for my son's wedding on May 27, but I found the balloon was leaking. The lady whose name is Kristin I remember, she checked every balloon for me but everyone is leaking. She is very nice, gave me a giant balloon instead for free. I really appreciate she has done this for me. We had a wonderful wedding. Thank you Kristin.

Cashiers and customer service representatives work very hard and are very friendly. Management used to be incredible but has gone down hill.

The best place to do your groceries at night.

This Safeway is usually quiet at night, well stocked, and has plenty of parking. Sure, you could spend maybe 10% less on your bill elsewhere but you know at this location you can Safeway grab something without checking the expiry date. The brand selection and quality is also top notch. There’s an underground parkade and entrance for those who don’t want to brave the weather and it’s in a good plaza with fantastic sushi next door and London Drugs if Safeway missed anything.

I would say this is an upscale Safeway. Like they say all the wholesome stuff is located along the perimeter.

No problem with the product range and the prices are consistent with most other supermarkets. The problem is the service. I stood for ages at the fresh meat and seafood counter to be served. I guess the 7 people working behind the counter had more important things to do, despite making eye contact with 2 of them. When I finally got served, I was handed my order without so much as a word spoken by the employee.

Selling outdated produce, leaving a roll of paper towel on the floor to soak up a leak. I haven't been a Safeway fan for a long time, but what a giant step down from when it was Safeway to now being owned by Sobey's. They should be ashamed. The cucumbers were disgusting.

Safeway is amongst all stores the most expensive. This location has a knack not honouring their sales system if you have to go to a price check they will rip that sticker off and say it's regular price.did you know if it's under $10 and there's a sticker and they accidentally charged full price they have to refund you or if you catch it during the same visit they give you the item for free by law. They have ripped me off twice

Excellent selection of items you don't normally find at a Safeway at this location. Great bakery and floral dept. Fruits and meats always fresh and stocked. Propane exchange program available as well. Underground parking as well as ground level parking available.

Very well laid out grocery store and shelves well stocked, staff friendly prices reasonable what more can I say.

Produce section is small and quite terribly unstocked. Layout of the store is awkward. Overpriced. I've been here several times and the produce section was understocked as well as the meat section. Will stick to Superstore but may check out the Safeway in Ocean Park.

This Safeway is a pretty good grocery store. Has most, if not all of the regular amenities that a typical grocery store has je) floral section, bakery, deli etc. But this one also has a permanent Chinese food buffet (little overpriced) as well as a Starbucks inside.

80% of the woman that work there have a bad attitude. Not friendly. Un approachable. I witnessed yelling today at an older lady becauee she obviously doesn't know where she is going due to your poor signage. Your poor customer service. Instead of yelling at her. Show her where to go.and earlier today I witnessed the nastiest customer service ever. Didn't get her name cause she was hiding her name tag lol go figure but I see her every morning when I come in ill get her name and then ill call Pamthe manager

Very impressed with Peninsula Village Canada Safeway yesterday. Stopped in briefly and found their managing of social distancing to be very well thought out, esp the marking out of the floor and moving around of fixtures to ensure shoppers keep their distance. Staff very professional. Just stopped by for a couple of things and felt the store making a real effort. Thank you.

Safeway sells itself, but I think the customer service has always been good the 18 years I've shopped here.

I like that I can use my AirMiles card and will use code on receipt for gad at a Shell station. You can get good deals but need to make an effort.

I buy water for a large crew at work. This is the most convenient location for me on my way to work.

This location consistantly is out of stock of Canadian springs water bottles.

They do not learn and change there ordering or increase shelf space, it is obvious that they are use to telling customers they are out of stock.

Pretty good selection, okay customer service. Parking is great if you go to the underground, otherwise a bit of a nightmare. Always seem to be out of Diet Pepsi.

East indian girl working sandwich bar took 20 minutes to make my sandwich, could not understand a word I said, did someone else's transaction while my order was in the oven, didn't wash her hands and continued to make my sandwich. Disgraceful and disgusting! Not coming back.

A long-time peeve, inaccessible accessibility. I need knee surgery and have a disabled placard on the car. I used the little electric scooter because goddamit it hurts to walk. Was chastised by an employee who literally ran behind me screaming because I left the scooter on the sidewalk under the canopy opposite my car. Most other Safeway stores ask if you need help out, and insist on providing it whether you want it or not. I get that these scooters are expensive but doing this the same way as other Safeway stores would have saved everyone a spike in blood pressure.

Customer service is never at the service desk. Every time I've been here I've had to wait at least 20 minutes just to be assisted.

Very friendly place I been shopping there for over 12 years now never had any complaints over that time and I shop there almost every day

Was there when I house sat year ago they had great ready made salads a great variety. To far for me to go now so shop Safeway (Sobeys) near me now in Burnaby.

Stopped in to eat at the Deli. Great choices for food. Tasty food. Great service. Seating, parking, wheelchair accessible & public bathroom.

Deli disaster. Chinese buffetserves up mushy vegetables and mushy meat which made me question if I was eating MSG.
Husband ordered over salted wings. Onion rings were so dry and hard that you couldnt taste the onion.
The only good thing we were able to enjoy was the Starbucks coffee which is consistent in flavor.

Oh yes. Wifi is literally non existant. Shows many bands but unable to connect. Keeps scrolling and scrolling but.everything but wifi.

Good store. Have shopped here for years. Never fail to satisfy. Very knowledgeable staff. Access.not so good but plenty of parking.underground and parking lot. Won't be disappointed!

The produce department is usually nice, but I've found so many expired products throughout the grocery department. For the last two months that I've been in there I have grabbed at least one expired item each week. The bakery also does not rotate their dates properly, and frequently runs out of products.

I live close to this store and have been shopping at Safeway's around the country for decades. Normally I'm happy with the products and the service. Last Wednesday I purchased rancid beef steak unknowingly. I took the meat home and BBQ'd looking forward to a steak dinner. My first bite I knew the meat had turned. I'm very unhappy that old meat would be sold to me from Safeway. I'm hopeful that the management will refund my money. A very dissatisfied customer. Aidan Pringle.

Safeway was good, very similar to the others. Found what we were looking for. Had some great discounts on fresh turkey breast. A good deal for sure. Wasn't looking for it but the deal was too good not to buy.

Safeway has such caring and hard working staff. A great team who pull together. Air Miles is a bonus as well as good assortment of deli choices.

This is a very big safeway store, there is a customer service desk, lotto center, floral department, pharmacy, bakery, and a starbucks kiosk. There are also self checkout lanes available here and they also have underground parking with escalator access into the store.

This Safeway has good selection of produce, meat and seafood. Pricing on some common items is decent (4L of Barrel Organic Milk Is always 7.99.) however if you don't pay attention some of the products are ridiculously priced. Checked out with 2 spaghetti squash for a ridiculous $21. I asked them to cancel the item and got beef shanks instead for $14. The place is clean and bright which is essential qualities of a grocery store.

Pharmacy is so busy and short staffed. I've been going there for years and won't change but feel bad for how hard they have to work
