What a great store! Amazing variety and good prices. The staff is top notch.
You can find just about anything and the prices are reasonable.

Buy bulk / bakery items at your own risk. There seems to be mice all over the store. I saw one run across the bakery and into a hole in the wall like a cartoon. I saw two mice in the entrance way as well that also ran into a hole in the wall.

It's always a pleasure going to Safeway. The staff are very nice and they always have what I need in stock

Great store to shop at particularly during the pandemic. The store was regularly cleaned (the manager met regularly with staff and asked them to bring their cleaning logs). All staff are still wearing masks even though it is not required.

Prices are reasonable and the store was remodeled two years ago and is more modern than most Safeway stores. We have been shopping at the Willowbrook store since moving to Langley in 1982. I highly recommend the store.

Great selection of gluten free foods! Also bricks of cheese for sale at $5.99, less than other stores. You can also grab a coffee at the in-store Starbucks.

This has to be the most mismanaged store in the chain. I went there this morning to pick up just a few items. Self checkout had 5 people in line with 1 checkout open (the other 4-5 closed). No staff monitoring the machine that did not work. Why would anyone spend 20 minutes waiting to buy 4 items? Clerk who finally showed up was not the least bit helpful and complained that she was he only one working (I saw at least 5 staff walking around doing nothing) Asked to talk with the manager but he/she didn’t bother showing up. Probably hiding in an office somewhere. I will be taking my concerns to the corporate head office. The customers at this location deserve far better service than is being provided. I’m certain a high school student could manage this store better than the current individual.

This is one of their "Extra" locations, definitely above average for Safeway.reminds me of the Urban Fare stores in the Save-on-Foods Group. Classy!

First time visitor and I love the store, not busy, well stocked and nice atmosphere. We will be back.

It is Safeway. Solid produce, Good bakery and staff that is friendly.how odd to find that.happy staff.nit like other stores

I've been shopping here since covid because everywhere else is crazy. There is so much selection, space and freedom to move around and the customer service is A+. Only downside is some prices are a little more but sometimes you get what you pay for.

I ordered chocolate covered strawberries for Christmas Eve both from here and Save On Foods.
They had no record of my order when I arrived at Safeway to pick up my order. The kind lady in the bakery section offered to make them for me, so I thought that was good. The berries were so much smaller than the Save On ones and the chocolate was darker and not as good of a quality of chocolate as the Save On, ones. The lady at the bakery felt bad so she gave me 14 chocolate covered strawberries instead of the 12 I ordered. I was not happy to see she had put candy sprinkles on them, but since they were so busy, I graciously bought them anyway.
Safeway has some good products but not their chocolate covered strawberries. The presentation and packaging were not as good as the Save On ones either. They were pricey and not worth the price at all. I also bought lobster tails that day, for Christmas dinner, once I cooked them they shrank to a very small peice of meat, very small. The lobster tails had been frozen for quite sometime as when I got them home they had ice on them inside the package. I was not happy with my Safeway purchases on December 24, not the quality I normally get from Safeway.

Love their ready to eat section, great store Safeway has really upped their game. Pricepoint is a little higher than the bargain groceries but these stores are very pleasant to visit and the products are always #1

I ordered cake for my daughter’s bday and we supposed to have Elsa figured cake but the baker gave us normal cake with extra Elsa figure to put on the cake.
Which is very disappointing for my 5year old daughter.

Friendly staff. But their meat portions are for single people only came for the ground beef sale. Off to superstore to buy enough to feed the family.

I like this store. Pricey but good quality merch.

I went just a short bit ago to get a bouquet of flowers. The lady in the floral shop, I forgot to catch her name, is just wonderful! She was happy and friendly. So willing to prepare a bouquet for me. I gave her the flowers I chose, she made the loveliest arrangement, it was absolutely beautiful when she was finished with it! The price was great, the flowers so fresh and so perfectly arranged. Thank you, I really appreciate you eye for beautiful bouquets. The person whom they were for ~ absolutely loved them!

Best selection for deserts and cupcakes, birthday cakes and squares! The flower shop has such friendly service too and nicely wrapped!

I feel comfortable in the store it's clean and most times physical distancing is working. Staff are pleasant and they have an awesome in store bakery.

Very nice store to shop at. Plenty of space, and never too crowded when I go shopping which is nice.

Beautiful new Safeway Extra. Bold new experience, loved every minute of it. Gorgeous new store, friendly, helpful staff with excellent products and good prices.

I always go to the bakery because their cakes are usually good. I love the black forest and bought one for a birthday party. When I cut into it it was solid cake with no layers just whipped cream on the sides and top. They just dumped a bunch of cherries on top that ran off the cake soon as as I cut it. Disappointing.

Its a food store has buffet deli inside good for snacks. Generally overpriced run by cheap greedy CEOs. That pay staff cheap wages treat them like dirt. Clean inside. All supermarkets run by cheap basterds now.

Helpful staff. There was a young gentleman with dark hair and glasses a few weeks back he appear to be Spanish he was very very nice at the till well-mannered and polite I'm sorry I don't know his name

Terrible experience. I usually don’t shop here and won’t be coming back. Was looking for a pork shoulder and the butcher had never heard of a pork shoulder and did not have any. Then our sale items did not ring up correctly

Prices are high store is clean and staff was friendly needed some flowers and they have a good selection and they are open later than most.

A very elegant supermarket to do your grocery shopping.
Meat department offers superior quality meat.
Bakery has got some unique pieces hard to find elsewhere.
