Saffron Touch Indian Cuisine

This place is truly a hidden gem <3 Been my go-to restaurant for years. Food is always delicious and presented beautifully! The service here is also amazing, best in town honestly I always look forward to dinner here!

Food and service was excellent, best naan bread i’ve tried yet, can’t wait to eat here again!

Amazing butter chicken, saffron rice, and garlic naan. Great service and a large variety of dishes to try with vegetarian options available. You can customize the spice level with every dish. I loved the environment and I would come here again.

My family and I decided today was the day for Indian cuisine and I'll never regret it! After getting our food from the extremely friendly and helpful staff we went to the park for our regular outing. My siblings didn't even look at the park till they were done eating every bit of Nan I bought! I was also very pleased with the portions as they weren't puny, nor were they gargantuan. So there was no waste! Overall very pleased with the whole experience and WILL be returning

This was my first time dining in at Saffron Touch.

Along with Curry Pot, Saffron Touch is one of the original East Indian restaurants here in town.

Saffron Touch has done a better job of adapting to the surrounding environment.

I previously ordered delivery a few years ago. While the staff was super helpful and friendly, and even went above and beyond by delivering it to me 30 minutes after closure because Doordash made a huge error, I was disappointed with spending 40 bucks on a tiny portion.

Because of the tiny portions and having the largest price tag in town, I hadn't eaten from there since that day.

Thankfully I gave them another chance and dined in yesterday.

I ordered a mushroom masala and garlic naan which came to $22.41 after tax and an 18 percent tip. It included free rice with the meal.

I know myself and others pointed out Saffron Touch didn't include free rice or naan like Haveli, Shahi Pakwan, and Namaste do. I am happy to find out they've joined the rest.

Curry Pot are the only holdouts in town.

The mushroom masala tasted really good. It isn't the biggest portion size like you'd find at Haveli, but I never felt like I was short changed.

There was also a free dessert too! Seeds mixed with tiny jelly beans which freshens your breath. No other place in Vernon gives this out at the end of the meal.

The server was very friendly. We chatted a lot as it wasn't super busy. He also repeatedly came by to fill my water.

Overall, I highly recommend this spot.

There are so many excellent East Indian restaurants you need to try. Vernon has come a long way.

1) Haveli (I love the big venue. Most affordable lunch menu set. Biggest portions. Favourite menu options.)
2) Namaste (Indochinese dishes are awesome. Great pakora. Garlic naan included. I love the deep fried cauliflower dish.)
3) Shahi Pakwan (Best naan bread. Mushroom Do Piaza is great.)
4) Saffron Touch (Best customer service. Reliable. Consistent. Best free dessert dish.)
5) Curry Pot (The only one I don't recommend overall. However, my food tasted great.)

Had the Lamb Korma with some friends last night and the food and service was amazing from Sam! Thanks we will definitely be back again!

Service took forever. Once the samosas came the garnish was old and moldy. We showed it to the waitress and said we were leaving. She asked in a surprised voice"because of that? " And I told her I didn't trust the rest of the food quality if something obvious like moldy vegetables made it to my table.

Incredibly friendly staff, clean restaurant, excellent food!
A small group of us wrapped up a late night class and spontaneously popped in two minutes before closing and they happily accommodated us, not once making us feel like a burden or rushed in any way.
Servings were generous and full of flavour. Indian chai was delicious. Will definitely be back again soon!

If you need a curry fix and you're downtown? This is the spot. The buffet is good, bringing solid selection that can support novices and experienced eaters alike. Fully recommend!

The staff were super friendly and the restaurant felt accommodating with great seating. The food was fresh and tasted incredible, definitely a go-to spot.

Yo these guys are awful and don't care about their customers AT ALL! I ordered from them and there was a very long hair in my food. I call and they refuse to give me my money back! This is sick! In this economy? ! I'm not paying for hair! Officially boycotting and telling everyone I know!

This is our favourite Indian restaurant in Vernon! All the dishes we have tried are incredibly tasty and the service is always impeccable.attentive and professional. I did notice that the dishes are a bit smaller in size (than usual) and may likely be geared towards individual portions. Overall, a wonderful Indian cuisine experience!

The worst Indian food in the city. I don't post bad reviews but the food was terrible tonight. Naan bread wasn't cooked and the food had no taste which I never thought would be possible for Indian food.

This was our first visit for dinner at 5pm.
Server was attentive and courteous. (I am SO sorry i forgot to ask his name)
The food was so good, we bought extra appies to snack on later at home.

Great food great service. Definitely in my top 2 Indian restaurants in Vernon!

Started off with Indian Chai that warmed us right up. We got the lamb biryani which was spiced perfectly, the lamb was tender, and the rice was fluffy. Also ghobi was great as well with the potatoes having a crispiness underneath the yummy sauce. Palak paneer and butter chicken were delicious, as expected.

Presentation and service were amazing. The server was available when we needed but not overbearing.the dishes look smaller than they are when they come out, but the bowls are deep. This was enough food for 4 and pricing was reasonable.

Very low quality and overpriced as well. Main dish does not come with rice and still cost close to $20. One large slice of Naan cut in half is $4.
Tikka Masala was very bland. Very disappointing.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere.
We got the butter masala, balti and rogan josh. All very fantastic especially the butter masala.

Had to be one of the best Indian cuisines I've ever had, the service was awesome and the waiter was extremely polite. The food there was amazing too, the butter chicken was so rich in flavor that my mouth was completely caught of guard. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant.

Not the best Indian food I've had but it was good. Got the butter chicken with medium heat but the chicken chucks are quite large, samosas which seemed to only have potatoes in it and not much flavor and the garlic naan bread was the best part. We got take out and brought it home only to find there was no rice, I don't recall seeing rice on the menu and thought it would come with it, so I made my own rice and enjoyed the meal.

Delicious food tonight. We tried Indian food for the first time ever and the whole family enjoyed it. Definitely recommended.

So delicious! Our party shared curries, naan, pakora, and rice. The service was amazing and I’m surprised that there weren’t more customers dining considering how good the food is. Everything was kept warm and it was so good I scraped the curry bowl! The server was hospitable and very conversational. I definitely will be back again

I ordered butter chicken and it didn't quite taste like chicken and the chunks of meat were far to big to be cut from a chicken.weird how the streets were swarming with Tom cat and rabbits and suddenly there isn't 1 to be found anywhere!

First time trying the food from this place and it's delicious. Will order more often from here.

Best Indian cuisine in Vernon! Great owners, great good, great service! No one can even come close to the quality of food they put out. My wife and I have supported this business for the better part of 10 years, even before they were Saffron Touch (previously New Delhi). I look forward to another 10 years of top notch Indian food that we can't seem to get enough of:)

We dined at Saffron after a friend recommended it. Not let down. Really rich and authentic flavour with herbs and spices. I was really happy with everything, including the service.

We got takeout from here tonight because The Curry Pot wasn't answering their phone and am I ever glad we did! Excellent food and the dishes were about the size we would expect (would be great if you got a bit more but what you get is really good). The guy inside was super friendly and the food was actually ready a bit early. We will most definitely be back!

Food is really good and authentic, doesn't taste watered down, service was friendly although I just grabbed some take out after a long day at the office. Wish the portions were a tad bit bigger but other than that, great food I'll be back for!

Hubby and I stopped in for their lunch buffet because our usual spot was closed.
Needless to say this will be our new favorite place!

Terrible food and attitude chef.
I ordered food around $160 and I asked from the server that, can I get some gravy for my biriyani as it was really dry and hot but tasteless and he rushed to the kitchen and I heard the chef saying "Nothing for free here". Then the server came out and asked me to buy a portion if I want to get some gravy. Very disappointed as we already spent $160 at the restaurant and having an unpleasant experience. We went there to eat and have a good time but it ends up with terrible experience. Never go there any tells all my friends not to go there too. I wish this place close down sooner as his terrible attitude.

This place feels like home. I love the food and I love the service. I have a digestive disease and my body is very picky. I feast here when I get the craving and always feel good!

I say give this restaurant a chance. It was my first time eating the buffet, and it was delicious. There were at least 4 more dishes to select from than other Indian buffets I have been to. And what was great was that it tasted "clean" and didn't leave me feeling overly bloated.

I was sad to see, and wasn't sure why it wasn't as busy as I thought it should have been.

Disappointing! Has gone downhill in my opinion, portions were small, we ordered it mild (my wife likes) so I asked for hot sauce, they charged me $6.85 for a little side of sauce, and as we were the only ones there, I commented, and server said, " we are busy with take-outs". Now only one Naan per order.we wont be going back. PS the dishes were already much hotter than a 2, so my wife wasn't happy either.
