Saigon Ivy Restaurant

It's such a cute little restaurant, the minute I stepped through the door I felt right at home thanks to the comforting interior and warm welcome from the host. The food was amazing and prepared so quickly! It was just an all around amazing visit! No wonder this place is my go to for Vietnamese noodle soup!

Best springs rolls and Bahn-mi sandwiches. Sandwiches are also inexpensive and high quality. All the people that work there are very nice.

My food was frozen when it arrived. I ordered some soup, and the beef ball that was in the soup was very frozen in the center, as some of the other ingredients where rather cold.

The broth was almost tasteless and required vigorous use of the sauce provided to make it taste like anything.

I hope this is a one off and not a regular occurrence but for now I can't confidently give a good review.

The best Vietnamese food in New Westminster. The owner is always friendly and welcoming. A delight to visit.

Family ran business in Uptown New West. The owner is very warm and welcoming when you come in, fast and great service. The food is delicious and would recommend coming here for a nice meal. Here you can have a beer with your your pho! So refreshing. I have been here many times and would recommend.

Got take out this evening, ordered no. 18 rare beef noodle with tendons and meat ball, and a deep fried chicken wings. It's OMG delicious

Sorry to say, but it's not the best broth that I had! The beef broth is really bad! It tastes like plastic. You could do better than that, so people will keep coming back.

Horrible customer service. The man who took our order behaved very rudely and was angry while talking to us for some reason! And the lady did not seem to be happy when we asked for condiments and made a face.

Delicious pho at a good price. I'd stay away from the vietnamese ham salad rolls as the meat is kind of thick and spongey, but the pho is great, the service is exemplary, and it's got a cute and cozy little interior.

First time here and tried out couple of dishes. The chicken is cooked well and tender, juicy, and delicious with the fish sauce. The egg was a big fried on the edges and spring roll was alright. The peanut sauce for the salad roll was a bit liquidity, but I might like thicker peanut sauce and others might like it more liquid. So…. Service was prompt and attentive.

Fast, friendly service and great value for your money. The salad rolls are huge! The lemongrass chicken on rice plate could be 2 meals, and is tender and juicy. The bbq pork is tender, juicy, and flavourful. Best in town. I definitely recommend this place. I go here often for the Vermicelli dishes and Vietnamese Subs. I review a lot of Vietnamese Restaurants.

The flavour, color, and freshness in this BBQ Chicken & spring roll on vermicelli is so appetizing! The spring roll is nice and crispy. BBQ chicken is very well grilled with the right amount of char. Veggies are well prepped and fresh. They’re always consistent and delicious. I cannot recommend them enough - definitely my go to neighborhood viet restaurant in new west!

I enjoyed the bun bo hue soup. I would order that again. My husband thought the pho needed a bit more spices.

Food is amazing. I did try various items on the menu and not once was I disappointed. The quality has been there for over last few years. The owner is such a friendly person and remembers the regulars. Highly recommend this place.

Very excellent pho noodle soup.very good spring rolls in fact, I've had all the appetizers and like them all. Good portions served pippin hot! Generous portions that are well presented. Good prices as well.

The best spot in New West for a great banh mi sandwich and delicious noodle soup! We've been going here for years and have always had an excellent time. The BBQ pork banh mi (#15) is amazing. I'm a huge fan of the #23, and the #30 stew is fantastic if you've never tried it. Love to the wonderful family that runs the place!

They did a great job on my pork the vermicelli my substituting salad and bean sprouts. I've never had homemade barbecued pork and there was too mrat for me to eat

First time there today with my daughters
2 of us had the traditional baguette bun deli meat sandwich with iced coffee and one of us had the rare beef pho
We also had salad rolls and deep fried rolls to start.
The food was fresh and delicious, lots of flavour and the coffee was amazing.
The coffee is grown on the owner's coffee farm in Vietnam
You won't taste this coffee anywhere else!
Will visit again anytime I am in New West

One of my favorite places to eat in New West for eating in and take out! Food is fresh and delicious, my favorite is the Pho. Staff are super friendly and the man who hosts is always a delight.

I'm new to the neighbourhood, and I already know Saigon Ivy will be a regular spot for dinner.

Food was pretty good, server was nice, pricing was okay. Overall the food was probably 4 stars - a bit better than average, I had the Bun Bo Hue and my partner had Bahn Mi. The reason for the lower star is because of the state of the restaurant. We were seated in a booth that smelled really foul and kind of ruined it for me - general cleanliness needs to be improved.

Love this place. Food is always delicious, meat is juicy, and everything is very flavourful. The man at the front is also very kind and welcoming. I'm big on hygiene, and this place is always clean! #15 is my go-to treat.

Rude owner/ server talks to his customers like they are his misbehaving children. Went there with my son and mother and from the beginning of the order asking if they had spicy peppers he said they did not as it was not a part of the dish.i went there before and the spicy pepper came with my soup. So when I asked if they can add any spicy pepper for my soup the owner said to me I already said the dish doesn't come with peppers in such a rude manner. I said ok really not wanting to continue the conversation any further with this rude man i decided to walk out of there and cross the street and eat Greek food where they actually appreciate the customers.

Staff was the most unfriendly and the worst its attended by the owners. Very rude to say the least. Cleaness of the place is horrible. During a pandemic you think you see staff in the front or the kitchen wearing a faceshield, gloves or a mask buy nope! Food is okay but service is HORRIBLE! If you're in New West and want good food Nd service there is a new Pho restaurant on 6th and 6th

I come here sometimes during lunch, but only because there is no other Vietnamese place around here that's decent. There use to one around the corner which is much better, but seems to have shut down due to COVID.if you're coming here, I would recommend you don't get the pho, as the broth is weak and doesn't taste very good. Probably the worse broth I've actually tasted when it comes to Pho. The rice is alright, would say it's the best either, but good enough to consistently come to satisfy my craving for Viet food. The staff here are very nice and accommodating, which is why this isn't a 2 star review.

Very disappointed by the service by the owners. Went there wirh my new born son after the reopening of covid19 and not impressed with the organization of the new health codes. Tables are not properly labeled for sitting. Sat at a booth with my son and owner came up to me and said no sitting there, I said ok np and pointed out maybe he should have signs for sitting and he replied to me me NO you sit there or there. I said that's fine but please don't talk to me im that tone cause he was getting mad. And he again said NO you sit here or there or you don't eat. Thats when I walked out after telling him he is rude and should not speak to his clients that way. I have been going to his establishment for over 3 years and during these times im supporting his business and should be more polite. Its embarrassing walking out of a place youbhabe supported for years cause the owners arw rude. Now looking at how the restarts operating im glad we were treated that way cause I have NOT seen one person wearing gloves, a face shield or a mask in the front of the restaurant or the back. The cleaning of the tables between costumers in little to none. This is place is a danger to its supporting clients.

I've had their salad rolls with bbq chicken twice now and it's been consistently good! They're fast, tasty, and easy to eat. The portion of the rolls are very reasonable and I look forward to ordering more going forward!

Well executed Vietnamese food. Never disappoints and the prices are just right. In a city with this much rain Pho is a must and this place will warm up your day.

Not much of a fan for Phó, I go more to satisfy my partner's whims, but I finally found something I'd come back for.this BBQ Pork Sub. $5.95, a damn fine sub! Fresh and full, very satisfying!

Unfriendly staff most specially the owner I think? I ordered a soup and chicken wings I ask them if they put on some vetsin or msg on the wings because you can literally see and taste it. As a costumer I have the right to ask, so I ask in a nice way but this guy who serve I think the owner? He got mad and the way he answer me is so rude. He comes back again to our table and said "oh look the sauce might have also msg/vetsin" Sooo rude! I love pho but this restaurant I don't recommend it. Never Gonna come back there!

Great place! Portions are great, food quality was decent. Satisfied my craving for a warm bowl of soup on a cold day!

Ordered mango smoothie, that was the only slight bit of a let down as it tasted a bit watered down. But aside from that, everything from the pho to spring rolls were awesome!

This was a great place to go for a quick meal. Good food, large portions, excellent quality and service. The hostess was gracious and smart.

I went to saigon ivy and to be honest I felt really uncomfortable dont get me wrong the service was good and polite but I tried a sauce I never tried off my spoon and I spilled a little on the table and this employee there got really upset about it, totally wierd atmosphere I ordered the pork viet sub and the pork was disappointing to say the least if your on 6th in new west cross the street grab some co chau

Always a great experience. Owner gives a personal touch to every customer by remembering preferences on subsequent visits. Chicken wings with fish sauce are so good and I always have the iced coffee (little milk)

Very nice and delicious food. Taste pretty much like the original cuisine in Vietnam. This one, imo, is by far the best among Vietnamese restaurants i have tried in New West. Recommended.

Just about every time I go to a Vietnamese restaurant, I order pho. And as soon as I had my first sip of the soup, I certainly knew this restaurant rose to the top of my list for Vietnamese restaurants. I ordered a combination lunch which included a spring roll, which was also fantastic. Looking forward to returning many more times to trying other things on the menu!
