Really love this gem of a restaurant. Good food, family owned and quiet. Like most places, the prices have gone up but we still find it reasonable for the quality.

Food was subpar. Did not appreciate being overcharged for lunch. Makes sense why the bill was not left and only total amount keyed in the machine. Will not be going back.

Excellent pho! The beef rolls were delicious as was the beef special pho. This place is a great lunch choice and we will definitely be back:)

The best pho we have had on the island, and also holds up to many of our favourite Vietnamese restaurants on the mainland. Rich, flavourful broths and good quality ingredients. Very authentic. Portion to price ratio is on the low side, but the quality makes up for that. Good and friendly service. Highly recommend!

The waitress was very attentive and the cook came out and was chatting with all. Nice to see he was making sure we all were happy with our food.

By far, the best Vietnamese restaurant on the planet! Try the beef rolls! Crunchy texture on the inside and delicious. The hot and sour soup is made with pure tamarind and pineapple. It's a real WOW surprise with the first bite. Next, the crepes are a must! Crunchy, tasty, delightful. And the staff is pure love. The owner Ray makes you feel like you are the most important person in the room!

This is a small business owned and operated by the head chef! After our meal we were so impressed with the food we asked to speak with him about how he makes the broth for their pho and their soups. He actually took the time to speak with us for about ten minutes. On top of that, the staff and service were fantastic. We will definitely make this one of our regular dine-in experiences.

My absolute favourite restaurant in Nanaimo. Saigon has the most wonderful staff and an impeccable selection of food. Saigon is an incredible part of our local community.

I highly recommend this place to everyone if you would like to look for a good Vietnamese cuisine in town. Staffs are very friendly. Restaurant which is also an opened kitchen is super clean and comfortable atmosphere. Also, the lady, who works at the front desk with big smile always, is extremely kind and helpful

Thanks a bunch Ray! What an awesome meal and experience:) Ray absolutely spoiled us! My kids (Dilynn and Riley) said it should be given 10 stars and we agree! Portions were great and flavour was amazing with every dish. Maybe one day we will move to the island but for now we will definitely recommend EVERYONE we know to stop and eat here. The deep fried wontons and deep fried bananas with ice cream is to die for! Best Vietnamese food we've had by far!

10/10 recommend. The tofu soup was amazing - so flavorful and vibrant. The rice wrap and spicy tofu ginger was superb too.

Really nice and friendly family restaurant. We came an hour before the restaurant opened, but the owner let us in anyway. The service is really nice and the food is delicious. The chicken hot pot is fantastic, I would recommend to anyone.

Very delicious food and the kids really loved their peanut sauce. The 2 waiters were friendly, speedy and efficient even with a full house.

Love this family-run Vietnamese restaurant. Had a craving tonight for dinner, so ordered up N2.it's all I ever order. Lack adventure much? Maybe, but it is so reliably delicious I can't bring myself to change things up. Throw in a prawn salad roll and their home made chili sauce and fish sauce.you will understand where the cravings come from. Great place and great prices. You won't be sorry.

They have 1 table outside if u want to come otherwise take out only. Food is great service is great.

The sooner covid restrictions are over the better. With so few tables available, you have to be organised to get a table on a Saturday, well worth the organisation as just love the food.

We were visiting friends in Nanaimo and we wanted to try a Vietnamese restaurant with vegetarian options. Fortunately Saigon Kitchen features a menu of 15 vegetarian menu items. We ordered the Saigon Special Tofu dish, the Crepes, the Chow Mein and the Vegetarian curry. All the dishes were excellent but I would highlight the curry dish in particular. The vegetables were fork tender and the coconut curry was exceptionally flavorful. If you like a milder sweeter curry, you should give this one a try. I can't wait to try some of their other vegetarian menu items.

I was craving Vietnamese food. So, we decided to go to Saigon Kitchen as we had not been there for quite awhile. My friend and I both order the Chicken Combination Meal @ $14.00: Grilled chicken, spring roll, fried noodles, steam rice noodles serve with house sauce. We were served tea by a friendly waitress while we waited for our meals. Every table was occupied with people enjoying the freshly cooked delicious food. Our meals arrived and they were huge! We were enjoyably stuffed by the time we left.

Just stopped in after a day trip to Hornby Island and it was just want we needed! This place did not disappoint us. Food was fresh and flavourful and the staff was friendly.
Will definitely return next time we are in town.

We have been coming here for about 20 years. It had been a while and we were feeling nostalgic so we went.
Reminded why it has been a favourite for so long. Beef salad roll and scallops to start, chicken hot pot and chicken royals entrees.
As good as ever, hot and fresh.
Place is small and busy. Reserve to be sure you get it and avoid a wait.

I ordered the Pho and the broth was flavorful and packed with good quality meat.

I devoured it in minutes and needless to say it was delicious.

I highly recommend this place.

Ray and his team go over and above to make this a 5 star dining experience. This is a small family friendly atmosphere, not Black Tie, but the quality of the food is beyond Black Tie with prices that are so reasonable, considering the quality and the quantity.
