Nice, clean, locally owned, easy parking adjacent. Online tickets worked seamlessly. Staff was friendly and didn't seem like they would rather be elsewhere.

Great prices! Very pleased overall! They contribute to the community by providing lower cost admission for local non profits and schools.

Staff don’t seem to care about ANYTHING!
Food is stale, Movie theatres are FREEZING! They don’t do anything about people always talking during movies, and sticking there feet up beside people who are sitting in front of them. Would NOT recommend to anyone until they can act like a real business.

Great for a small town theater. Popcorn was decent and it was nice and clean. Friendly staff. Small chairs but its an older style theater.

Comfy seats well-aligned to optimum viewing. Didn't buy any snacks but others seemed to enjoy eating various treats. Saw Top Gun: Maverick which was a great saga!

How lucky we are to have this awesome little theatre in our town! Met our family here to catch an afternoon matinee, cannot beat a $5 movie! Reasonably priced snacks and comfy seats! We will definitely be back!

Love the Salmar! Good selection of movies they bring in, great prices and most importantly they help so many groups in our community

I love this theater whenI'minSalmonArm, BC. 4 in total, very homey and comfy. 1 and 2 have larger sloped seating capacity and host the new releases. They then get moved to 3 and 4 after a certain time. 3 and 4 are more flat with less seating but still comfortable.
What I like about the Salmar, is they are not gaugers both for admission and the concession stand.
We watched the Batman last night. $20 for 2 adults. Booked on line at $9 each plus$1 booking fee.
All Saturday and Sunday Matinees are $5 per person while cheap Tuesday is $5. Cant go wrong with that. Concession stand prices are decent too. Next time in Salmon Arm, check out the Salmar. You won't be disappointed

COVID proto followed. Passports and ID checked before entering this establishment. Friendly service, clean and with the pandezy you can have enough space to manspread in comfort, if that's something you're into.

We love this little theater. They always have a good selection of movies. Awesome popcorn and the staff are so friendly

This place deserves all the love and support we can give them. Always giving back to the community.

Been going here for years. Would be nice if they'd let you purchase specific seats but otherwise it's a great small theater

Great theater and great prices. Went on a sunday afternoon. Cost 3 of us $15 to watch the new Frozen II. Worth the drive from Armstrong.

Great Staff. Polite and delightful. Reasonable prices and functional layout for viewing. I had a wonderful time. You Rock Salmar!

Been going for years. Generally a good theater but lately the cleanliness and staff professionalism have really been slipping. Hope to see this improve in future.

A quaint little 4 screen theatre with all of the essential amenities, and a bunch of nostalgia. While not as up-to-date as modern facilities in large cities, the chairs are comfortable, the sound is good, the snacks and admission are reasonably priced, and the service is friendly. If you want to see a movie while you're in the area, treat yourself.

Good prices even for food which is saying something, cool employees but one of the screen itself was pretty small and the seats were one of the worst seats ive ever sat on in a theatre.

Area or location and service are great, I only wish they could offer a fountain or refillable drink.
25 May 2019 20:04
Everything is great here, just being able to reserve seats would ve nice. They do allow pre sales of tickets.
20 May 2019 7:24
Yes I enjoyed the movie, popcorn etc was great and the kids working were polite and good service. I will return
Again very soon. Highly recommend. Thanks

Clean and comfortable. Prices are typical. Young professional staff who obviously like their jobs. Kudos, always.

Nice place. Good movie selection. Cleaned between shows. Fair prices and friendly staff. It's a shame many moviegoers leave garbage after they go. I always feel bad for people that have to clean up after the idiot who dumps their drink on the floor.

Best movie theater in Salmon Arm. Friendly staff always there to help you with whatever you need. Has wheelchair seating so you can sit beside your disabled friend and enjoy a movie. They also cater to birthday parties (large groups of kids)

Friendly staff and decent seats but they didn't have any music playing before the show time, just an open Windows desktop screen, and it was absolutely freezing for the entire showtime until the end where I could have swore the theatre was burning down with this horrible burning smell of smoke and burning seats. I nearly pulled the fire alarm before I noticed there was no smoke, and used the back entrance to leave. Oh and some guy who clearly wasn't a customer kept walking around the theatre which was slightly concerning and distracting. Great movie tho. I recommend The Favourite. Emma Stone and the supporting staff was amazing.
21 February 2019 7:51
Not much to say, you go in and buy your ticket you, get your popcorn you go sit in the dark and watch a movie, always good.
02 February 2019 21:14
Good location in downtown Salmon Arm. Friendly staff. Seats are a little bit clustered together with enough leg room but I wish there was a bit more space to sit and enjoy a movie.

Staff so friendly and helpful especially one young lady, printer was down so she went all the way to the other theatre to print tickets for a upcoming event. So appreciated

Nice theater. Tuesday is the cheap movie day in town and all the proceeds go back into the city.

Normally a good theatre, last visit was poor. May be understaffed, long slow lines. During our visit the fire alarm went during the last 30 minutes of the movie. At first many of us thought it was part of the movie as we could only slightly hear the alarm. When we realized we left with the rest of the theatre. Seemed to be no emergency preparedness as the 1 staff member we saw didn't seem to know what people should be doing. Thankfully everyone got out and no real fire. Thank you Salmon Arm fire department for coming. When asked if movie was resuming same staff member (saw no others) gave coupons for another visit which will not assist us as we camping nearby. I hope those we gave the coupons to enjoy!

Went to see Avengers: Infinity War the Tuesday after opening weekend. My husband and I were one of the first in line waiting for the doors to open. We watched through the doors as staff scrambled around trying to get somewhat organized for the mad rush. Unfortunately, they did not open the doors on time which is very frustrating for a mob of very passionate fans that have been waiting 10 years for this movie. But opening the doors late is not reason enough for me to give the theatre a bad review - no unfortunately there were a couple more incidences that infuriated the anxiously waiting crowd.
#1) Staff were very slow. I understand this is a local theater and that many people you would see might be a friendly face, however not EVERY person visiting your theater is a local and a lot of us would prefer you to be courteous and EFFICIENT and get the massive line through in a timely matter. We did not appreciate waiting way longer than we needed to because staff were socializing with people they knew. Being friendly is one thing, being chatty and slow is another.
#2) The movie was 30 minutes late to start. I do NOT understand why you advertise a movie starting at a specific time and then starting it a half an hour later than the advertised time. Unbeknownst to you apparently, some people make plans and look at showtimes and the run times and plan around said times. It is very understandable in being maybe a few minutes late.but 30? !
#3 and the worst of all) STARTING THE MOVIE 5 MINUTES INTO IT! We as moviegoers like to enjoy the FULL movie. Not 98% of it. 100% of the movie. Especially one that has been one of the (if not the singular) most anticipated movies for the past 5 years! As a fan of the franchise, and as a person who was unable to score opening night tickets. I've had to dodge spoilers left and right. And just when I can finally take a breath because I know I'm about to finally see the movie.the movie theater itself gives massive spoilers. Thanks for that.
