Before I came here, I was so nervous because I haven’t got hair cut for longtime. However, now I’m sure this hair salon is the best in Vancouver! Especially Hazel is so good at cutting! I’m so satisfied with my hair

I had my haircut with Sophia, she is one of best hair stylists that I’ve ever met, I wish I could have same haircut in NY. (I am travelling here for a few days) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this place!

Had the best experience in a salon. Felt very comfortable and the staffs were very nice and welcoming.
I initially walked in with a specific color I wanted but due to dying my hair black months ago the Yuni whom I was paired with made sure to consult me through the results that may look a little different than what I was expecting.
The result was even better than expected. Although it wasn’t the specific color that I wanted they made sure to make it look natural and also made sure I was feeling satisfied.

This is a Korean style hair shop staffed by Korean hairdressers. The hairdressers are young, so they do it perfectly in Korean style, and when you show them the style, they do it on their own. I did it with a person named Hazel, and it was nice that she took care of it. I liked it because it was a place where work was carried out efficiently and according to reservation times. In Korean hair salons, there are many cases where one hairdresser works with multiple hairdressers and they all finish late, but this is not that kind of place. One person continues to receive care. I got a perm and got results I was happy with. I would like to visit again when I visit Vancouver. Most of the customers are Korean, so I don't think the hairdressers speak English very well. Maybe that's why it seemed like we wouldn't be able to communicate when non-Koreans came, but the results seemed to be perfect. Jaejoong must be Korean after all. I highly recommend this salon as it is made up of young and talented people who have just moved from Korea!

I got my hair done by Caleb! He was very accommodating. During the waiting process of my hair dye, I was planning on doing my homework at the table and going back but he continued the highlights from the table so that I could continue working on my studies! He responded to all my questions and concerns and overall it was a positive experience.

Exceptional Bang Perm by Sophia!

Sophia at this salon is truly a master of her craft! She gave me an amazing bang perm that exceeded my expectations. Her attention to detail and skillful technique made the experience enjoyable. Sophia was not only professional but also friendly, making the appointment a delight. I highly recommend Sophia for anyone looking for a talented stylist who delivers fantastic results!

I got a perm with Jiwoo on Saturday. Now my hair is straight in the front and curly in the back.

EDIT: they contacted me to offer redo complimentary service the next Saturday, but doing two perms within one week would ruin my hair further and I haven't accepted

I got a haircut and scalp clean up from Mr Eden, so good! Totally satisfied with his work. Very gentle and detailed!

I initially went to the salon to get a haircut for a wedding since I’ve heard good reviews about it! Fortunately, Jimmy did a fantastic job and I keep finding myself going back to get my haircut done there!

I had the stylist Yeoni and she was very friendly and knowledgeable! 10/10 would recommend she made my hair lighter and gave me a very pretty hair cut. The overall environment in this salon is immaculate it is friendly and pretty. I also got the scalp treatment and my scalp isn’t flaking or itchy anymore!

Sophia is so awesome, I recently have a haircut with her and she is very detail like she asked me double time on how length of the hair that I want to cut. This show that she is care about customer and the result is so nice. I love and enjoy her service. I will back to have a haircut and color with her again sure.

I just had a much needed hair cut by Eden. He’s absolutely great! He carefully listens to you and tries his best to execute what you’d like and the style suitable for you. The salon is super clean and pleasant also. I will be returning back for sure!

The atmosphere is friendly yet sophisticated. My stylist did a great job at understanding my needs and applied their expertise and experience to bring out the best in my hair. They taught me how to easily style my hair while teaching me some hair practices to keep my hair healthy.

I always go to Nuvida for my hair and Ms. Yeoni always never disappoints! She is so talented and puts in so much effort for each and every client and makes sure the client’s vision meets her work and design, I recommend Yeoni thank you Nuvida!

VERY DISAPPOINTED. I went here for a couple of times to Jimmy and his haircut is great. But I stopped going here because they treated my partner horribly. My partner was waiting for me and watching me from the side as I got my hair done, and the assistant who was using the broom to clean just shoved my partner with it while cleaning. No words, just shoved. And no one said a single word to my partner and acted like she doesn’t exist. I am Korean but my partner isn’t and they are darker skinned. And we saw the other Korean client with a guest who they spoke to. We came to the conclusion that they were being racist and they now lost a loyal client. We are NOT going to support a business that treats their guests with DISRESPECT and RACIST.

Hands down the best salon in downtown. All staff are professional and super friendly. Also, highly recommend Yeoni who knows what looks good on me! She’s amazing:)

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Got my first bleach/balayage done with Sarah, loving the subtle baby lights ️ Pleasantly surprised with how my hair turned out because I had a dark dye undertone. Looking forward to coming back for lighter balayage soon!

Went in for a first time visit for a Korean root perm, toning and haircut with Caleb. The toning and root perm was fine and standard, my color was neutralized and the root perm provided the extra volume as advertised. My disappointment is with the haircut which is quite possibly the worst haircut I've ever had to date. There was a huge lack of communication and when asked as to what style he was going for, I was given little to no information aside from a few hand gestures and a couple words here and there. Frankly, the whole experience felt condescending and I constantly felt inferior and little in the chair. In the end, I got a haircut full of choppy and rough cuts throughout imitating layers, and thick side bangs as short as where my eyebrows lay. It looks like a 90's choppy mullet and I'm so sad about it as I've tried all varieties of styling it in an attempt to make it better but alas, only growing it out and hiding it under hats will do the trick.

The stylist was 45mins late and no apology until I asked.
When you book women’s hair cut online, it shows as $60 but they charge you $85+ tax. I got a service from the most experience lady but not as good as others. I am sure there are lots of better Korean hair salons than this in Vancouver.

I haven’t been to a hair salon for a long while, and my hair definitely needed some updating! I had the owner, Caleb, as my stylist and he was extremely knowledgable about hair and the products and treatments they use. The staff are all very friendly! I also had a very nice head massage when they washed my hair. Thank you guys for the lovely experience, I will try and come again next time I’m in town~: D

I came in with 3 young men who wanted very different styles. Walked out with 3 young men who were all super pleased! That never happens! Great service overall by the entire staff. Would recommend.

Great aesthetic, music, ambiance & La Biosthétique products. Shingo is a great hair stylist & provides expert advice on keeping hair smooth, strong & healthy. Amazing customer service, they provide a mask so you don’t get hair on your mask.

Went back again today for a treatment, it’s been almost 2 years since my husband and I have been going and we absolutely love the salon. It’s so relaxing lovely music, great staff, very knowledgeable and kind.

Disappointed I’ll never trusted hair salon again! I decided to come here because of my friend recommended. I asked to cut just a little bit but she cut half of my hair. From that point I tried to smile and said thank you to her deep down I wanted to cry. I keep telling while she cutting not too short but she not even listen:)

My friend and I had an awesome time^^. I got my first scalp treatment, so that was an experience. The place has a very peaceful atmosphere with a nice interior. My hairstylist Jimmy did an awesome job helping me with my goal of updating my hair. It was a pleasure having him. He was fun to talk with, and I liked watching him do my hair with detail^^. It would be a pleasure to go again when the time comes, and I am in Vancouver.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would.
From the moment I walked in you could feel the place with a warm welcome, kind detailed gestures making me sense that my business is valued. I was greeted by the friendly host at the front desk as she took my coat and umbrella so that I wouldn't be burdened with carrying it around. She kindly asked me to sit in the waiting area and very shortly after my stylist CALEB came to greet me. I love how they have respect for my time as well as their own. A quick consult with CALEB and I was on my way to the back to have my hair washed with a scalp message. This was the most comfortable hair wash I've ever gotten. You know how when you bend your neck back in those funny looking salon sinks, and you slide into your chair, but because the sink isn't in-line with the chair.you feel like you're neck is gonna snap in half? Well this was NOT like that at all! It literally felt like I was laying on a spa bed having my hair washed, but I wasn't laying, I was sitting.that's how comfortable it was. Another detail I loved and have not seen before was the mood lighting in the wash area. It was such genius, because you're staring up at the ceiling and the lighting was just so that it would be easy on the eyes. Brilliant.

Now as for the cut. I think CALEB is more than a stylist. He's an artist. Best layering job ever. Received exactly what I wanted and did so with such poise.
And the salon was bright, big, clean and inviting with his lovely staff all working diligently and providing excellent service.

I mean really.to sum it up. Yes, the service and the cut were amazing but what really stood out for me was the attention to detail, excellence in technique and suave in the cut and in the service that impressed me and that rarely happens.

I might be happy with a place or service but for me to be impressed takes another level. So yeah. Long story short I found my hair place in Vancouver.

Staffs were so gentle and polite. They care every details and provide new mask in case it got wet when shampooing. I am really glad that I finally find the place for hair in Vancouver.

There is a salon I want to recommend to the people I love.

Caleb’s haircut technique is very sophisticated and delicate: I could feel him deliberately designing every strand of my hair. I also got a perm on my third visit, and I’m very satisfied with the clear and beautiful curls. He knows what you need and what you want, and he has the ability to perfectly deliver it.

I took my mother along on my second visit so she could experience it. Yeoni, an expert stylist who worked with famous actors in Korea, cut my mother’s hair. The more you look at the hairstyle she designed, the more surprised you are by its details.

I highly recommend this salon.

I came across this salon when I walked by it one day and checked out their Instagram and booked with Sarah. The service was absolutely amazing and everyone is so friendly and happy. Sarah is super sweet and extremely talented. I needed a major colour correction from a previous colourist I went to and Sarah was so patient with my questions and explained the process on how she was going to achieve the colour I wanted. My hair is still healthy, glossy and shiny even after a lot of bleaching. I can’t say enough about how awesome Sarah is and the staff at Salon Nuvida. I highly recommend Sarah and her team! Safe to say, I am now a loyal client ofSalon Nuvida and will not be trusting anyone else to do my colour other than Sarah.

Loved the service. Went in for a wash and blow out and the service Sophia provided was amazing. Had a scalp massage during the wash process and it was very relaxing. Will definitely return again. Great prices!

Julie is awesome hair stylist. Great service and good skills. I got a Balayage. I was worried about can't get the right colour because I did black box dye by my self. She knew what exactly to do and advised. I like my hair colour. Highly recommend (just one thing is dislike price.little expensive even they give me 10%off)

I had so many different colours in my hair and even black box dye I did at home. However, colourist Julie was able to bleach and tone my entire head to an even pastel blue colour. She is amazing and the salon itself is clean and beautiful. I highly recommend this place.

Julie did an amazing job I came in wanting a hair cut and a scalp treatment and I told her all my hair concerns and she gave me amazing feedback on what types of products I should use in my hair, overall she was really kind and I learned a lot from her on how to take care of my scalp and hair, usually other salons I’ve been to and when I would get a hair treatment they would just do it without letting me know the benefits of it etc. I will 100% come back and see Julie again she was absolutely amazing and I’m so happy!:)

Great service and professional stylists! I had my cut and treatment with Julie and it was my first time at the salon. They all made sure my needs are met in a caring and individualized way! Julie is also wonderful! I would definitely recommend the salon!

Had my first cut with Shingo today. He did a great job of making me look respectable again after months of crazy hair due to COVID. Great attention to detail and very friendly. Everyone was also in masks (including the customers) which was nice to see. Jimmy is also very skilled and is a great choice if you're looking for a quality cut.

This place gave me one of the best haircut I've had in my life. I've cut my hair pretty similarly throughout different salons and left adequately satisfied but I loved the result I got here. My stylist was Caleb and he was very thorough and wanted to give me a cut that would suit my face and work with my hair type. I wasn't disappointed by his choice! And places I have been to, the stylist would finish my hair in 30~40 mins because it's not a very complex cut but Caleb took his time to perfect all angles and spent his time fully until the next appointment. I'll definitely be coming back in the future.

I have been coming for a few months now. I went to a lot of different hair dresser in many countries before and Dada is the best one i know.
He is conscientious and pays attention to details. This is what I am looking for when going to the hair dresser.
Highly recommended!

Salon de nuvida is great! I've had Dada cut my hair 3 times now, and I always love the results after. Dada is an experienced stylist and seems to know exactly what you want without needing to explain very much! I will continue going to see him, and would recommend him to others!

P. S.they are doing a really good job with social distancing. Their salon is quite spacious, and they provide hand sani & face masks for all customers once you step in the door.

Visited this salon twice, one to get the colour I wanted but it faded after one week and one to get it fixed but still didn't get the colour I wanted the second time and paid $250. Wasted my money and I don't think I'll ever be returning to this salon

This salon is great and everybody was very kind. I got my hair coloured by Shingo and I received amazing customer service. He did partial highlights & a toned full colour done by him and he did warn me it was going to get faded in the future but i did not expect to have it faded right away when i just got it done a week and a half ago. It's now going back to my old colour (blonde highlights) right after a short span of time and I'm very upset as i did not expect this. I hope to get my hair fixed ASAP!: (
