Started Salsa 3 months ago & had an amazing experience with Roger and Raquel. They’re not only skilled & passionate but also patient & encouraging. I've learned so much & gained confidence in my dancing. Many thanks.

Have been taking Roger's salsa and bachata classes for ~7 months and have enjoyed every minute of it! Each six week series is progressive and great for building confidence on the dance floor. The classes are structured in a way to rotate partners, with one or two assistant instructors mixed in to the rotation to provide feedback on technique. Additionally, the social dances after every class, summer beach dances, and Saturday socials all provide a fantastic way to practice and reinforce what was learned in class. Would highly recommend this studio for anyone interested in starting salsa or bachata!

Great class, great way to meet new people, they are always friendly. Roger is fun to be with and his instruction is top notch.

Signed up for 6 sessions and only attended 2. The "beginner" Salsa instruction was extremely fast paced, the instructor covered one movement for about a minute or two, then we were to implement said movement to music for a few minutes with multiple partners, then it was on to the next movement, regardless if you had grasped the concept. They have a class size of about 60+participants and 1 instructor (2 if you count the instructors partner) which leaves no time for individual help. They pump classes in and out in under an hour, and make their profit from the sheer volume and very imbalanced instructor to student ratio. Furthermore the instructor would single people out who were struggling and insult them or poke fun at them (thinking his rudeness was comedic perhaps?). I was thoroughly disappointed by this experience, as I came to learn and have fun but the environment was not optimally conducive to either.

Awesome place to take Bachata and Salsa lessons. Staff is very friendly. Lots of people you can meet. Socials and parties are amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Great teacher, great people, great music. Roger is great at teaching every detail of a move. The social dance after class is THE place to be.

Less a review of the instruction so much as the community. I can't speak to the male population but I had the pleasure of dancing with a dozen ladies who are very accomplished and the atmosphere seemed very friendly.

If I had to nit pick the instruction I'd say there could be more watch and think rather than just follow along. That said, the real measure of any instructor is the community they build and on that they seem to have succeeded.

Roger is one of the best dance instructors I have seen and had in my life. My fiancé and I took dance lessons for our wedding's first dance and we had the sweetest, and most memorable experience ever. I highly recommend taking his lessons; doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a pro, you will enjoy yourself to bits

The best dance socials/events in town. Duello and all socials organized by Roger are great dance socials you will always want to go to. Roger, Raquel and Negar are all great instructors to learn from. Personally speaking, they are great friends too:)

Roger has created a great dancing environment with great classes in Salsa and Bachata with his precise teaching instructions and also he has created a fantastic dance social community over the years bringing many of the best dancers and his students together with various levels of talent. Keep it up Roger.

I've been attending the beginner lessons with Roger since summer last year and I've had a terrific experience so far. Roger introduces new moves in every lesson and explains them in a humorous/easy to understand way. I also highly recommend his social events as they're a great practice platform for beginners and offer ample opportunities to connect with like minded people from the Latin dancing community in Vancouver.

Awesome place to learn Salsa and Bachata. They have a really structured dance course for people of all levels and the instructors are kind enough to spend time to help you improve. I have taken beginners and intermediate classes. Good part is you are allowed to practise after the classes with other dancers. I felt their Salsa and Bachata Socials are THE BEST IN VANCOUVER to spend your weekends and connecting with amazing dance enthusiasts. Love the vibe ️and people here.

As a new member of the dance community in Vancouver, there's always a battle to find the right instructor, on the right evening, with the right environment to feel "safe" dancing. Sometimes, some of us get into our heads and don't feel that we're good enough to dance unless we know it all. Well, since I started to attend Roger's socials and his drop in classes, I realized that he has made it top priority that his students have fun, laugh at his corny-as-hell jokes, and also learn a super positive environment. What I love most about his classes and his socials, are that everyone encourages each other and gives feedback in a way that's super inviting. Although Practice is on a Monday night and BachataME is on a Thursday evening and these are "school nights" for most people, if you're willing to even just social dance for 60 minutes, it's best to show up and have fun for 60 minutes, than to NOT show up at all. If you're looking to learn salsa or bachata, I highly highly recommend trying Roger's drop in class and take a series or two! PS you have been warned about his jokes

Great studio for dancers of all levels! Very welcoming atmosphere and always fun classes and socials. Definitely the place to meet nice people and share the culture of dance!

Another night of dancing another happy moment! It is way better then staying at home and watching TV.
I am so grateful to organizer of salsa/bachata studio Vancouver for bring different people together and uniting them under the one roof. Friendly and relax atmosphere, smiling faces are all factors that bringing me back to classes and socials week after week.

I should say this is the best place to learn how to dance. Nobody has to wait during class and there are always equal partners. The very professional and friendly environment to feel good and at the same time enjoy and practice. For me it's a pleasure to be part of it!

Great place to learn salsa/bachata. Roger’s classes are always fun. Shed a few pounds while having fun, not a bad deal at all. This is the place to be if you love dancing!
