Salt Spring Coffee - Ganges Cafe

If you don't get an "Oat Back Cookie" from this place, you are just losing money. This oatback cookie will feed you and your family all day. It's full of nuts, dates, coconut, fruit, oats, and everything in between. You need this cookie in your life. I got 2 over the course of 5 days and I've been eatin' this last cookie.

The fruit smoothies are great. Can't go wrong. They hit the spot and easily the best on the island.

Let me tell you about the last time I went here. I was hungry, some might famished. There was a breakfast bun available, but it was 16 dollars. And I don't eat a lot in the morning so that felt steep to me at the time. I looked in the window and saw a 10 dollar chicken pesto croissant. I chose that, since it was a little cheaper and I figured I'd only eat half. No. No sir. I ate that whole thing. It was one of the most delicious croissants I've ever tasted. The garlic butter was unreal. I could have drank it from a stray. Fresh and delicious.

Don't sleep on the this place.

Amazing location always busy but so clean and inviting. Prices were great staff were all so friendly and the food was amazing. Gluten free options were plenty. Overall best coffee shop on the island hands down. Will return again.

Great coffee and great food. I appreciate the vegan options of treats and sandwiches. Some vegan breakfast items would be lovely though.

Friendly baristas taking the order, kinda the good part. Tea and croissant were 3 star. Toilets were dirty and gross 0.5 star. General vibe is starbucks/airport store, corporate, generic, and not really Saltspring Island character. It's a shame, I really liked how they ran this cafe, before they closed it for 5+years.

Really nice spot to enjoy a coffee or tea. Lots of lunch options and treats. I only wish they carried gluten free goodies that aren't made with nuts so I could enjoy a treat with my coffee. Staff is always friendly and helpful. It's also nice that they adorn the walls with different local artists work, so you are seeing new artist that you may not have been exposed to previously. I definitely recommend stopping in for a snack or lunch with friends.

Coffe is delicious but service is terrible. I understand is summer super busy and possibly understaffed like every other place but the ppl working every times I visited looked so miserable and were so rude. I kept coming for coffee because their coffee is good but oh man if they don't want to work on a busy cafe where it gest stupid crazy busy in the summer I don't understand why they are working there.

Really good coffee, they also offer a very tasty local breakfast with bacon, eggs, awesome potatoes and gluten free toast.

Overpriced! $17 for a small Bánh mì. 2 medium coffees the Bánh mì and a croissant was over $40. The quality was decent but they are getting away with highway robbery. I’d consider a different cafe if you plan to eat.

Delicious and beautiful breakfasts or fresh ingredients and fast, friendly service.highly enjoyed our meal, and we ate every scrap, especially the perfectly cooked almost candied bacon, roasted/pan fry red potatoes, real eggs benny with runny orange yolks, and the honey Dijon dressing on the salad.oh wait that's everything. Yep. Loved everything.

Absolutely the worst service and snotty staff.this place is always empty! I would never go back! Nothing special here folks, Barbs buns has better staff and food do not waste your money.

Service is always friendly, vibe is calm, decor is modern, spacious and earthy and the Americanos and mochas are the best! Avocado brownies are also really good!

Modern, upmarket and spacious coffee shop, great coffee and excellent bakes. Eat in option is allowed, with ample social distancing provided.

I got a free coffee from this place when I downloaded the app! It's too bad they don't have more stores in the main city.

Visited this wonderful cafe and was very impressed with everything about it! The coffee was fantastic! I was helped by a wonderful barista (blonde lady who looked to be in her 20’s) whom I didn’t get the name of but I would have loved to personally shout her out! Thanks to this barista and the cafe as a whole for my great experience!

The staff are amazing, they take pride in their work from start to end. Happy to have Roasters back again!

One barista keeps messing up my drinks, short dark hair, believe her names Vanessa or Vicky, won’t be coming back! Love the place, however might need to think about a change of barista.

Only visited their temporary setup since the main store is under renos.

Pretty decent coffee, friendly people, the temporary setup is operated out of a food truck behind their store (in the parking lot)

Was today at their outside mobile truck coffee shop, my cappuccino was very disappointed. Not much taste and steamed milk not properly poured into the coffee. Their self-roasted beans and machine should give a good result in the cup - but it seems the Barista had no idea what she was doing. I think this place is overrated.
