As a disabled person, the decision to eliminate change rooms disproportionately affects me and other disabled people. Most disabled people live in poverty already, due to resellers we can already barely afford thrift, we have barriers to even getting to the store to shop. When we get there, there’s no change room. They say “just try it on over your clothes” and getting over how hard that can be for any one with body image issues, it also affects the fit of clothes meaning I can’t tell well how they fit, and it’s very hard physically without a place to sit for disabled people to try on many items such as pants. Then they say “well take it home and exchange it in 15 days” except I have an extremely limited income as a disabled person I live in extreme poverty, I cannot spend money on clothes that may not fit. It’s very difficult to find time and energy to shop let alone to make another trip to have to return. Sometimes at the mall I bring 10 things into a change room and none of them fit, it could take multiple trips and returns with my money tied up in limbo to find something that fits and looks nice. For an abled person what is an inconvenience is actually an impossible obstacle for a disabled person. Shame on all the stores that are doing this. I put the clothes down and walked out. Yet another place I can’t shop at.

We're on income assistance and no other sources of income, but they said we're not eligible and our income is high, how is that possible if we're on income assistance and barely take the minimum, so my 3 children under 6 will not have food hampers any more
