This review is concerning my stay in Williams Lake. I’ve stayed in this hotel probably 100 times. To be honest they’ve had their struggles in the past but in the past year they’ve really upped their game.
Atish is an awesome addition as manger and he’s putting together a really great team. Tracy was great checking me in as she has done in the past. Always a big smile and she recognizes me and that goes a long way when you’ve been on the road all day.
But the star in WL is Daryna! I can’t say enough great things about her. I think I met her on her first week working at WL and she has always been absolutely dedicated to customer service. So much so that she called me the day of my last stay to ensure me my room was ready and it was the type I like (not to mention a nice basket in my room) thank you so much Daryna, it makes being away from home a little easier to take.
With a crew like this in WL it’s only gonna get better. Great job everyone, I’ll see you next week lol.

Great place to stay. Front desk staff are awesome and remember you by name. Dorian was great at checking you in to saying hi whenever he saw you walk in the door. All the staff at the front were great.

Ok so let me start off by asking.how does a hotel RUN OUT OF TOILET PAPER? ! I wish I was joking. They had none. They wouldn’t even go to the save on right across the street to fix this issue. When we checked out they laughed and didn’t apologize, said they would give us a discount next time we stayed with them.like that’s ever going to happen…… the service was absolutely awful! Hotel was gross, sink plugged, had a funny smell and there was cracked out people screaming all night outside our window. 10/10 would NEVER recommend staying here! We will be at the best western next time.

Rooms smells funny and room wasn’t cleaned before i checked in, front desk couldn’t print an invoice receipt had to wait for someone who is trained in that for ages and messed up my checked out dates and they didn’t do anything since all the rooms are fully booked.if i were to go back in williams lake i will never consider checking in this hotel ever again.

The hotel is rundown and the employees are the one keeping it together. Steve was helpful and gave us impeccable service

Kat and Steven were amazing we have had some major health issues and were on our way home they gave us a upgrade and treated us like gold so thankful for them

The room was a pleasant stay, the AC didn’t work well which made the room very warm but the overall stay was very nice. Ramandee P helped me at the desk and she was extremely helpful and kind. An overall great stay!

Had to spend the night for work purposes. Was able to drop in, had rooms. Great location, close to everything. Would recommend to anyone traveling thru needing a place to crash for the night

The staff was great. Let me just get that straight, because the front staff and the cleaners were wonderful, despite shortcomings with management and lack of staffing. We stayed for several months due to a big move. We've been out for more than a month and had paid in full for the last month. In the last week, this hotel has somehow found additional charges of over 2000$, and secretly charged our credit card. They never told us fully why, and now management isn't getting back to us. Not only did we have to endure several months of no room cleanings due to lack of staff (we did it ourselves), random fire alarms in the middle of the night on several occasions with two kids under two, and frequent parties with no consequences for complaints, but now we are getting charges over a month after we left? No. Not okay. The staff was great. The management is corrupt and seemingly uncaring for the inconveniences and shortcomings they provide both the patrons of this shabby hotel, and it's wonderful staff. I would not recommend anyone stay or work in this hotel if they can help it. Many changes need to happen for it to be hospitable and worth the stay.

Our room was dirty stains on the walls needs a proper wipe down. Staff were friendly but difficulty with debit machine, once we paid cash we were unable to get a receipt printed. Receipt was promised to be emailed. It has been 8 days and no receipt, however a survey was promptly emailed asking how our stay was. Once we get back home I will call and request the receipt again.

Do not stay here. Filthy place. It was raining and we had water in our room all around the windowsill. Full of mold all around the window. We changed room's and the window didn't leak but still mold in the window sill. Old and dirty place

I must say the front staff was absolutely lovely and very accommodating. But I would personally avoid ever staying at this place again at all costs. I had a 5 month old baby with a stroller, suit case and playpen with me.alone, and there was no elevator. The staff moved me to the first floor thankfully, but there was still 1 full flight of stairs to get to the first floor? The staff and a kind man helped me up the stairs and too my room which was amazing! The toilet didn’t flush, the tub had dirt all over, dirty cleaning rags were left in the bathroom. The sink had toothpaste everywhere. The safety lock for the door was broken, so I tried my best to make a safety with my stroller and a chair. The uncleaned duvet didn’t have a cover, it was sandwiched between 2 sheets. And COVERED in hair. You can hear everything going on around you from footsteps in the hallway to car doors slamming outside and tvs playing in rooms beside you.

Our family experience was amazing. Jeff and Tiffany deserve special commendation because they went over and above making our stay amazing. They gave us a tour, always made sure we had bottled water and snacks for the entire family. They were so kind. I did not catch other names however there was this young lady with light brown hair that pointed me in the correct direction of the bathroom. She was working extra hard when nobody else was watching but I was. Another lady with blonde hair was pushing around towels and when asked gave us extra towels because we ran out even though we could tell she only had enough for her duties in that area. The security man was awesome and made sure the locks were tightened after a stranger tampered with them. He was observed making sure hotel guests were in fact hotel guests. All these people made our stay safe and comfortable and we appreciate it so much. Our room was the best. Beautiful 2 bedroom with kitchen, living room and balcony. The showers and beds are other great features. The pool is huge and warm! The fitness room is lacking however I think they are renovating so who knows there might be more to come in thay department. Tonnes od parking. No outdoor security cameras. It is attached to a Denny's and a bunch of other businesses and medical services are available attached to the same building. Save in foods and much more walking distance away. Overall this place is 5 stars from us. Thank you so much for your great service!

I am very happy about the service of the staff. Even I need to use the washroom at the 11am and 20 minutes late for leaving the room. And the thing I missed much was that I probably lost my journals in the room when I left in a hurry. Even though I like this Sandman inn and suites very much.

The physical building and rooms are in rough shape. Under staffed from what I can tell. Suites in poor condition. Could use a few dozens buckets of paint and a handyman with an eye for detail. Only positive is some of the staff are very helpful and attentive, others could use some mentoring.

Not a safe pace. When we drove up you could see glass from a vehicle that was broken into I assume. When we got to our room obviously it had also been broken into. They made there own window to replace it and nailed it so it only opened 6" and no screen. I took the dogs for a walk across the street and found over 100 cans of paint thinner. That's when I got really scared. The room did not smell good and we paid $250 cause we were so tired. Next time well sleep in the truck. The room was in my husbands name

This hotel was very disappointing. When I arrived the hotel at 5pm the room was not ready. The lobby was filled with people waiting for rooms. My room was finally ready at 6: 30. While I was waiting I asked for the ice machine and a restroom and was told both were were broken. When I finally got to my room it was clean but the TV, clock and light didn't work. All in all a very disappointing hotel.

My sister was placed in this room the hotel has no proper cooling system and the rooms are so dang hot they can’t even relax or sleep in because it’s so hot I would not recommend this hotel and it was even renovated terrible renovation.

Been here almost 3 weeks. Room hasn’t been cleaned once, haven’t even received new towels. $1,000 a week to not have my room cleaned once and to have wifi that hardly works.

Rooms smell like cigarettes, dishwashers never work, no dish soap, hard time checking in, rooms never get cleaned.

Nothing more frustrating than coming in from out of town our room is direct billed. When I get there they say no room. Office is closed to call person who booked. He says o we can always put on your credit card & sort it tomorrow I said we'll let's do that I have food & hungry kids with me! For a whole hour both staff just keep walking by me ignoring me! I ask one lady & she points at other worker long story short I didn't get a room even though they had the booking the whole time! Incompetent staff!

No hot water. Absolutely bagged out bed, it was like sleeping in a pit. The pillows double as wheel chalks too. Waited 20 minutes to checkout. Terrible hotel.

The staff were more then helpful and friendly beyond words. If your passing through Williams lake BC and need a place to stay don't hesitate to come here. Will be coming here again! Thanks for such a great stay

We had to wait over 40mins after the check in time to get in our room (4: 45ish) and going up to the suit entrance and hallways was smelly and floors clearly dirty. We seen 2 staff on their phones who had left garbage bags in the entrance wich didn't help with the smell. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking but it smelled like cigarettes and something else. Room wasn't that clean and there were hairs in the sink. Dirty dishes dishwasher still and we didn't even have tissue in the room. Definitely not worth the price! Will never stay there again. I'll stay somewhere less central for a higher price and cleaner room any day! I honestly would give half a start, it was over all the worst part of my trip and we drove 6hrs to get there.

Rooms are basic, fairly well stocked (kitchenette was a little sparse on utensils etc). Room was nice and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location.

I had an amazing experience. Sandman aren't my favourite, had bad experiences in Kelowna. But the staff here at Williams Lake were extremely accommodating to my situation. Couldn't have felt more at ease.
