We just stayed in Room 319 at the Sandman Vancouver Airport, we have stayed here before and never have a problem. Unfortunately, this time our experience was not the same. We actually found a Tim Hortons cup underneath our bed. There was no remote control for the TV so we can use it. The clock radio doesn’t work in our room, There’s no bottled water in the room. At 5 am, there are many people in the lobby waiting for a ride to the airport and the coffee bar is not open, is it that hard to make a pot of coffee? Everyone I spoke to about my problems in this hotel, didn’t seem to care.

The heating/cooling unit in the room was extremely loud even while wearing ear plugs. We would have enjoyed our stay much more if we could have slept properly. There was also a noticeable rat problem on the grounds outside. In just a few short minutes of being there i saw several rats roaming the grounds. My last issue was parking. There was no spaces left at the hotel for me to park long term so i have to bring my car over to the other Sandman hotel to park and take a cab back. The front desk staff was very helpful with that but it was still an annoyance.

We arrived late at YVR after a delayed flight. The front desk agent (Vick) was probably the most professional and polite hotel employee we have encountered in many years of travelling.in less than 5 minutes we had our room key and the check in was done. The room was clean and comfortable. The only fault we could note was no hotel supplied breakfast. At 6 AM a selection of buns or bread would have us on our way. Also, great shuttle service.

Was perfect for us. Located near several restaurants. Was using it for a crew stop over so very close. Within 30 minutes to the port. Lovely absolutely accommodating staff very pleasant allow for early check-in.

The service wasn’t bad. I told them that I was having major surgery and that my room had to be cleaned it was disgusting there were bugs crawling on the bathroom floor. They had an infestation of carpet beetles which I an allergic to. It was definitely not a good experience.

Very soft short beds, 1 night is fine, but more is certainly not an option for tall people

In my opinion, a good hotel is defined by its staff, so this hotel is one of the best I have been to.the rooms are pleasant and clean.the hotel is beautiful, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi are well maintained. A big thank you to Sunny the employee at the reception who received me, the day before I arrived everything that could go wrong before a trip I arrived, so Sunny who helped me with my room was nothing for him but for me it was a real ray of sunshine on a very unpleasant day.

Stopped over for a night after our flight before we went on to book an rv, was clean and comfortable. Service was good, staff helped us book a taxi and gave us some helpful info.

Room 440.one of the worst rooms ive ever stayed in
heres a list of things needed attention in this room
wrinkled carpet
dirty and smelly carpet
stained sheets
bathroom dirty /moldy
air conditioner, noisy, ineffective,
toilet flapper not seating causing water to flow from tank continually then refilling of the tank was noisy
TV system dated.needed guide which we had to get from room service

It was good. I asked for a vacuum when we arrived. There was hair on the bathroom floor, and a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. But all in all it’s what I expected for the price and we had a room directly across from the pool which was super convenient with three kids in tow. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would imagine with the labor shortage (the new pandemic) they are doing the best they can and they deserve some patience, along with everyone else in the customer service industry these days! Be kind, especially since its a well priced accommodation with good amenities for a family. Was it spotless? No. Did it kill me to ask for a vacuum and vacuum it myself? Absolutely not. In fact I prefer to vacuum it myself, so I’d stay here again knowing I might have to take care of a thing or two on my own. No big deal.

Hotel quarantine money grab. They should really refund you at least one night as results are coming back within 24 hours.
The mandatory $100 a day Moxie’s voucher is unfortunate for people like me with food sensitivities.
The room was not up to cleaning standards, especially in COVID. Greasy random fingerprints all over the microwave, door handles, light switches, random hairs on the floor and in the bathtub, smear on the headboard, dust on the bedside tables and lamps.not impressed.
The bed was clean and comfortable.
The staff was friendly.
Other than that - find somewhere cheaper to hotel quarantine as your results take less than 24 hours.

The hotel stay is not that bad but the food is horrible and I wouldn’t even serve my dog food from moxie’s. Very poor quality food and I got food poisoning from eating my first meal with them.

Shame on government of Canada for putting us through this kind tortures experience in these dog houses
