Sandman Suites Vancouver-Davie Street

We got checked in by Teresa who was super chill and friendly. She went out of her way to help us get settled in as smoothly as possible.

Best reception ever! Very warm and friendly stuff, they were all really kind to me. The rooms were very clean too.

An Indian lady from housekeeping - Better weekend rates - This was a very unpleasant stay over Christmas. There was no heat in the room! We froze for 2 days! A heater was requested and was sent with cord that didn't work and plug in. The requested extension cord never arrived! There was no housekeeping available, our bathroom sink kept flooding water over the counters! The floor was also very noisy and made sleeping uncomfortable. This is not acceptable and I hope a General Manager will rectify these issues with some compensation! Also our credit was already had our room charges on it when we checked out! That's not a regular procedure for any hotel! Highly dissatisfied and upset with the Sandman!

The girl who checked me out if our room early morning jan. 5.can't remember her name. - not sure - Great stay all around. There was no hot water for a most of our stay but you guys acknowledged with some discounts so that was great!

I went bc i wanted to do something nice for myself, i checked in early on one day because i had nowhere else to go for the time being which was good although i dont think front desk communicated that to anyone and i had a stranger walk into my room at around 12: 00 pm when i was damn near naked and the only thing that prevented anyone from coming in was my door latch and it was pretty scary having someone trying to push thru my door when im paying to stay in a penthouse suite.another incident: they had a fire bell test and never communicated that to me not during booking, not during check in, not when i was in my hotel room or before getting settled, until the very very last minute when they slipped a paper under my door while i was gone and i didnt know that id have random men walking into my room in the morning.third incident: again on my second stay the next morning after i woke up, not even 24 hours into my stay i had housekeeping also try to walk in at 10 am an hour before checkout time.there was also crackheads blasting very loud music outside nextdoor but they had good music so i didnt really care

id 100 percent have gotten a hotel room someone else and the unexpected wake up from the random men completely ruined my entire stay along with the other walk in incidents and lack of communication all around.disregarding all of those troubles, it had lots of clean blankets and towels and the cleaning ladies in the hall were very kind, its in a nice area on a strip with lots of stores and a variety of restaurants and on a good bus route, penthouse has a really nice view and a big room i’d love to stay here again but i felt so invaded staying here i was quiet and clean and kind.

I just booked my own lil trip for my last appt in lil smoke. The front desk lady was so nice and professional.

I am a General Dentist from Calgary and I am currently residing at the Sandman Suites Vancouver - Davie Street as a temporary residence in Vancouver. I would like to thank Anu, the Manager and her entire Team at the Sandman Suites -Davie St.for all of their help and support as I set up my second residence in Vancouver. I cannot thank Anu enough for her kindness and compassion in assisting me with moving to Vancouver. I would also like to thank the General Manager, Catherine Lee for allowing me to set up a temporary residence at the Suites. The Suites are perfect and equipped with everything I need as I start to find a new dental clinic to work at in Vancouver. The cleaning services have been outstanding and whenever I need anything, Anu and her team go above and beyond. The fitness centre is very convenient as I enjoy working out daily.

In summary, I give the Sandman Suites Vancouver- Davie Street 5 Stars, or as Rupaul says, "10s, 10s, 10s ACROSS THE BOARD! "

Ahmad helped us out booking a perfect room. Very delightful person with Amazing customer service. Perfect location if you are looking to be in the centre of downtown.

Stayed here to celebtrate my brothers birthday with my some friends and family. The rooms were spectacular and clean. Location was central. We needed some extra bedding and the manager Manju was exteremly professional and helpful. We would stay at sandman again.

Teresa at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. She managed to get us an early check in as our flight arrived at 6: 30am but check in wasn’t until 4pm. Very grateful for her services.

I stayed at Sandman Hotel in Davie the first week of November and had a poor experience. My bathroom had long hairs in the shower, on the floor, and on the toilet. I am in my 50s with short clipped hair. The hairs were not mine. I took pictures and emailed them to the hotel and the room still was not cleaned. I reported it 4x to no avail. I received an apology and was told I would get 50% off my next stay. I said I had little faith I would get a discount because of the poor service I received. No surprise, I have not. I said I wanted a 50% refund for my stay, and also have not received that. Please let me know if this will be addressed or if it will be ignored again.

In from Ontario to visit family, and needed a place within walking distance of Davie Village, St. Paul's Hospital. Picked Sandman solely on location and price, and I was in no way disappointed!

10/10 all around. I don't get to Van often, but when I do, I'll be here!

The hotel is under significant renovation, which they do not provide any warning about when you book or during check in. The suite I stayed in was clean and comfortable. But at 7am I was woken up to hammering directly above my head. I planned to work from my hotel room, scheduling video calls for the morning before I had to check out. I had to leave a call part way through though, when they started drilling so loudly in the suite above my head that I couldn't hear the meeting over my noise cancelling headphones. When I complained at check out, the poor front desk person told me that management wouldn't let them post a warning about the construction on their website. Very unimpressed, I expect a lot more from a hotel.

Great location.get on side of the building so u have a view of Our Beautiful Pacific Ocean.ask for extras as they're Very accommodating. Highly recommended. Cheers

We were woken up to the sound of power tools and hammers above us. The front desk apologized and explained that they were doing window replacements in the suite above us. I think the work should have been scheduled after check-out time. I was offered a discount.

The hotel was clean, safe and well equipped. The staff are helpful and friendly. I appreciate how convenient the location is and close to St. Pauls hospital. Thank you for a great stay!

We can’t thank Anu enough for all her help! She got us an amazing rate and worked really hard for us. We will continue to come back because of this wonderful lady.

Good location. Rooms need a substantial update. Loud construction was not disclosed on website at booking time. Staff are friendly.

Sep. 23 Check in Two fire alarms occurred. Firefighters came. I ran down from the 23rd floor. The employee could not explain the cause of the fire alarm.

It took about three hours after we checked in, but the room was still unused. We ran down from the 23rd floor twice due to two fire alarms. The hotel staff refused to let us check out. They also couldn't guarantee that the fire alarm would not go off at night, so we insisted on changing. Hotel, but they had to pay for two rooms for one day before I could leave.
