I would like to thank Kirstin so much for her compassion with regards to my Dad's funeral arrangements. She was so excellent in giving me all the information I required and she was so patient with me through my tears. So incredibly impressed with her professionalism and courtesy especially during such an emotional time.

With much appreciation, I would like to thank Julie and her staff for the professional expertise and kind guidance provided to my 'family' at our Brothers memorial service. The grave side service is something I will never forget. I will promote your service to others with a recommendation whenever the opportunity arises

Sands recently took very good care of our family as my uncle unexpectedly passed away. Kirstin and Julie were both compassionate, communicative, and eager to listen to each and every wish. They truly made the difficult process of sending away our loved ones smooth. So grateful for their kindness, listening ear, organization, and communication. You all were fantastic to work with. On behalf of our entire family thank you for everything!

My mother in law passed away after a brief illness and old age in June of 2023. Twenty years earlier her husband passed away and both times we chose Sands Colwood.
We have been in the best of hands with them.
Their services are extensive and kind, never pushy. The atmosphere was always incredibly helpful and peaceful. My mother in law chose a full burial service with a specialty coffin. It arrived on time and we customized it with a bronze appliqué. The flowers were amazing through Petals Plus by Erin and lasted nearly two weeks.
I loved the fact that Sands provides everything you need, as little you want or as much as asked with thoughtfulness and professionalism.
Kirstin, you seem to have the perfect job, an all around talent for people and organization. We could have not pulled off such a beautiful day, that my mother in law would have been thrilled with, without your care and guidance. Thank you.
It was a wonderful goodbye and will be remembered forever.

My father passed away suddenly in April. During the hardest time of our life, Sands staff went above and beyond our expectations. We could not of wanted more. They were respectful, caring, listened to what our wishes were and did as much as they could for us. We so appreciated everything they did, what a wonderful staff!

Sands Colwood staff were exemplary from start to finish when my beloved husband Jacques passed away. They were patient and considerate and answered all of our questions. The funeral itself went extremely well and many people were able to attend via live stream, which meant family and friends in eastern Canada and in the USA could join with us in celebrating Jacques. The video tribute they put together for us was wonderful. The Directors, Julie and Kirsten were caring and very attentive as was Chuck at Hatley Memorial Gardens. The hostess for the reception following was lovely and helpful to each one who came. We are filled with gratitude for the amazing comfort and care we received as a family. Thank you all so very much. My sister suddenly passed away in Victoria. I’m flew in from Toronto to make the arrangements and Sands Funeral Home did a wonderful job with our wishes. Would recommend to anyone in the area

Imagine trying to arrange a funeral from another country amidst a global pandemic. Then, image doing it within seven days. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Sands, it came together beautifully. And, despite travel restrictions, family and friends from all over the world were able to celebrate the life of our father with us online. It was a wonderful send-off.

Julie, Kirstin, Lindsey and Cindy did such an amazing Job taking care of my aunt. Time has passed and I've just been thinking about the day I met them and I remember my experience being as polite, gentle and professional as they could be for a sad situation.

Where my aaunt is laying, it is so beautiful and I know she is resting easy in a place that will take good care of her.

Sands handled the recent death of my mother with such compassion and kindness. They always were quick to respond to all the questions I had and we felt very well taken care of. Lindsey was so great and was very accommodating with the many changes I had.

Julie and the staff at Sands Funeral Chapel Colwood were amazing to work with in helping plan our sons funeral last summer. Planning an unexpected service during Covid made for an extra hard time. They all made this emotional time a lot easier with their kind and caring nature. Everyone showed so much empathy to every single member of our family and friends who could attend. Their attention to detail for the service as well as following the Covid protocols was appreciated. We will forever be grateful for their help in our time of sorrow. Thank you Julie and team.

When we went through an unexpected loss last year, the staff @ Sands Colwood was amazing. Caring, kind, compassionate, thoughtful.they helped make the surreal process of making arrangements bearable. Thank you again to Cindy, Julie & Kristen. You all are angels!

The staff there are so incredible. So much support. They truly care about the families they help. They helped us so much through such a horrible time. Just amazing.
