This is a review of the deli today. Staff (guy in glasses) extremely rude. Purposely gave small portion and was super condescending. Cheer up, buddy! I'm paying for hot food, not your sour attitude and tiny portions.

Excellent customer service! I was helped by a gentleman working in the deli area I believe his name was Kaslo and not only did he make me a killer burrito but he also gave me one of the best customer service experiences you could ask for. Give that man a raise!

Store is nice.
They block the front inside of store with too much product to get shopping carts through easily.
They have what you need though.
Parking not the greatest it gets very congested

Over priced and poor quality produce and meats. Fruit is super expensive here and often not of good quality! The sale prices are often more than what other stores offer on a regular basis. Staff are friendly enough. Wouldn't recommend it for regular shopping.

Great bakery! I often buy whipped cream cakes here as they are so yummy! The male baker was nice too!

The produce, bakery and deli are good. Pharmacy staff are great. Meat quality could be better for the price.

Just saw a lady fall across the street from where i was standing. A delivery person from save on food. Ran over to help her. Super nice of her. She said her name was Lizz. Props to Lizz

Great store but wonder about corporate Tom foolery by dividing up Vancouver Island. Was Safeway but now Save on Foods. Rest of the Island kept their Safeway while all Safeway in Victoria we rebrand. Something fishy going on here, staff unaware that Safeway store are a thing outside of Victoria. Same stellar staff working at this location. The meat department has gone to hell no longer doing their own butchering, they now import plastic bags of vacuum packed off colour beef, double packaged, shipped from Alberta. Local butcher gets my meat order now.

Its big. There are lots of produce. Yes, I prefer this to other large grocery chains but also like the opportunity to shop local at my smaller independent grocers like Tomley's Market or Old Farm Market. Price are very reasonable and the sales are often better than other locations. Fresh produce is decent. I never understood the price descrepencies between the organics section and other aisles - same item in both but the tag is for more in the organics? Mentioned it to staff but it wasn't changed. Could use a cheesemonger as the selection is poor.

I have been using saveon food delivery for quite some time! I don't like their new shopping portal but am trying to use it and slowly am learning it! The people who drop off my groceries are generally happy but have had a real snarky attitude towards me! I don't understand their attitudes as they are dropping groceries off regardless of how many or how little we are getting and just FYI they have never ever had all of the stuff i have ordered in

Decently priced groceries. Customers stand in grocery aisles as they physically distance from people ahead of them at the cash. Not an ideal situation.

As a concerned citizen who is a doctor while shopping I dropped off some Covid-19 epidemic management tips for frontline staff, like starting a journal to deal with stress. As well adding salt richness to the diet via soda-pop, drink crystals & multivitamins to create antiviral immunity to the Covid virus naturally through bodily digestion.

Was disappointed with the meat section, many of the meats, steaks roasts, were vacuum sealed and discolored and did not look fresh, other then that the staff is awesome, big shout outs to them:)

This location has the friendliest staff and is pretty much always stocked with what I am looking for, even late in the day. I had a great online ordering experience here as well even though an item was missing they happily handled it quickly and professionaly.

Abysmal treatment of shoppers with mental health issues - what's the point of having aggressive security towards the most vulnerable members of our community? Shame.

Claudia and the most wonderful cashier (I cannot recall her name) had the unfortunate experience of seeing me today after a traumatizing covid shopping experience. These two women, and another kind lady named Emma, gave me flowers, because I was crying after some off side ride comments another shopper made to me about not following the arrows in the floor. These ladies should know how much such a this gesture of kindness meant to me. Thank you!

They have posted on their website they are hiring people and please go and visit our store manager in person. I applied online visited this branch four times, asked for hiring manager, everytime staff gave excuse she is busy. I saw a lady passing by (hiring manager as i knew her name) she was standing next to me talking to another guy for interview. If you do not have any position available let the candidate know instead of lying that manager is not available. This is so hurtful when a person is visiting your store really in a need of job and you guys are not even bothered to give any proper reasoning to that person. You even have advertisements posted on the doors of your stores Join OUr team but can you tell me how? When staff won’t let you meet the manager

Their asian take out food tastes absolutely horrible and smells weird and on top of that is way overpriced.had to throw it out. Rest of the store is ok.

Good selection of food. Store is always clean. Cashiers are called when line gets long. Unfortunately frequently sold out of things.

Rushed into the store at 1045 nice to see it open till 11pm on a Sunday night. Found chicken enchiladas near the sandwich fridge in the deli area. Headed back to the hospital put them in the microwave for about 4 min and WOW restaurant quality enchiladas. Great job deli.

I'll be honest. I don't live in this area but I do visit this store every other month or so. I use the parking lot while I'm at my appointment and then purchase my groceries there to pay my way.
I'm a regular at the Save On in Langford though and am a fan of both stores. I used the washroom last week and found it to be reasonably clean.
The food is fresh and there are plenty staff members if you require assistance with your shopping.
The parking lot is huge and access and egress are simple.
Prices are fair and savings are plentiful if you have a rewards card.

When planning our wedding, flowers were one thing that I kept putting off because I just had no idea where to start. We left our order so last minute so I was definitely expecting to not get exactly what I wanted, but was so pleasantly surprised by the great service we got from Heather at the Oak Bay Save On Foods and how easy the whole process was. Organizing flowers actually turned out to be the easiest part of wedding planning and the flowers were so beautiful. Heather worked with us and was able to provide exactly what we were looking for. She was so easy to communicate with and had great ideas to make the flowers exactly what we both wanted and the bill was about half the price that I was expecting. Heather is so sweet and actually made the experience fun and not at all stressful like I’d worked it up to be. I’ve only ever had good experiences with Save On Foods’ floral department and highly recommend them!

The fruit here at this location is not very fresh at all. And do not buy food from the chinese kitchen as they literally charge u a small fortune for 2 bites of food. Only good thing about this location is the lineups seem to be quick and efficient.

I tried out the free online shopping and pick up service for the first time today. We were served by Shellie and the service was exceptional. She brought out everything as ordered and was very friendly and professional. The entire interaction was less then 5 minutes, but we were struck by the excellent customer service. A great service, and many thanks to Shellie!

Probably my favorite place to shop in Victoria! They've got a great selection of foods, both common and obscure British Foods, like Jaffa Cakes.

I used to think this store was good but after two years of shopping at the Parksville store I see how much room for improvement there is. The store is rather dingy and the selection isn’t great. The bakery is poor. Would love to see the pizza oven set up like in Parksville, a better, cleaner lay out and more selection. The store is in an area with pretty high incomes. Why not make this store a flagship store like Parksville? I really miss shopping there.
