Store inside is smaller and more compact than other stores. Parking was hard to find if it's yours first time coming in. Had everything I was looking for. Great selection of cakes.

Best Save-On-Foods location among the five I've visited in the city. It's smaller and tighter than some others, but thoughtfully laid out and not packed. The highlight here are the cashiers. They are friendly, patient, and kind to my kid who wants to 'help bag', which means he loves going grocery shopping with me, which means we get to shop longer. Hope they keep investing in their staff. I agree with other comments that the aisles are understaffed, and other than the cashiers, other employees seem exhausted.

Very convenient location near Kingsway. The staff are very helpful and respectful. However, too much open stealing of food and items by customers who once they claim they don't speak English and are allowed to walk out the door. Watch your phone and your wallet. Make sure your car is locked. Just be very aware when you are in there.

Now that they have a fantastic new manager plus mostly great staff at the tills, it's usually a fun experience to shop there - with the positive atmosphere, and always amazing sales on popular items each week, it's a good place to go - and one of the rare grocery stores that's open till l0 PM every night. They usually stock a wonderful variety of snack foods, too, in fact one of the best grocery stores to find that has this wide selection.

Good supermarkt with a decent selection of staples and fresh foods. A pharmacy is on site as well. Prices are rather high for most items, but that's a general problem in Canada. They offer a loyalty card, which helps a bit with keeping the cost down

Customer service has gone down hill. I was looking for a product and the best 3 different staff members could do was guess an aisle to send me down, until I finally asked someone to show me - 15 minutes of wondering aimlessly and only 30 seconds to show me. There is a serious lack of care here. I don’t blame the employees. Management needs to provide positive motivation. They seemed over worked and I don’t think anyone actually wanted to be there. Ill be looking for another place to buy food.

Online shopping pick up experience leaves a lot to be desired. The last two times I’ve picked up here, they did not pick up the call in line to inform them that I was at curbside. I had to call back twice and reach the operator to track someone down. Both times I had to wait over 15 minutes for the order to be brought down.

This store is only.wonderful!

The cashiers (incl Aaron,) are great, and most helpful staff.

Today I want to send accolades to Customer service for going the extra mile. I returned three Mitchums deodorants that I received empty, (they put less and less product in, now there's nothing! Lol) but didn't have receipt. I wasn't expecting much.

(Sorry, didn't catch her name) the staff person patiently tracked it down and gave me a refund! Yeay!

This location is a store with a "can-do" attitude!

Produce selection is hell. Expect lines to check out in the evening. Toilet paper selection is also hell.
Staff is often taking up most of the space in the aisles. Of course they are always shelving but the issue is they actually take up entire aisles making it impossible to move around as a customer - boxes and carts everywhere and NO they won't move for you, god forbid. Small basket was difficult to maneuver and I am a tiny person.

Not great prices on most things, but came in here for sale on sodas because they had a large selection of diet soda in theory. In actuality, they are almost always sold out of 12+ kinds of the 19 varieties of diet coke/pepsi/dr pepper products they carry, only stocking the standard cola varieties you can find elsewhere for much cheaper even with sales taken into account. While checking out, I realized I forgot my debit card (my bad) and had to pay with cash. The cashier wasn't paying attention and accidentally tried to short change me by a significant amount. Mistakes happen, but it was just another disappointment to add to the list of this visit. Had to then walk across the store to customer service to get a rain cheque, which was a wait because they are understaffed and helping people with self checkout. Then had to wait a while for the customer service girl to fill out the rain cheque because she was having a hard time using a pen with her Flo-Jo nails. She was still very pleasant though. It's so hard to get my daily allotment of that sweet bittery aspartame from this location with all these issues occurring all at once. The whole experience I'm sure would cause Jim Pattison to be rolling in his grave were it not for the sacred blood oath he made during the chiming of the infinity bell on the alter of Balthazar granting him immunity from the "best before" date we mere mortals are forced to adhere to.

Small cramped store if you're familiar with usual Save On Foods. Self scans are on the opposite end of the full serve cashiers which is inconvenient when there's a huge lineup at one end. Don't come here if you're big on physical distancing.

Definitely understaffed these days. Shoutout to the lady who was running the customer service desk AND the self checkout. At one point there were 4 customers at self checkout who needed assistance, as well as 3 at customer service. The girl was on her own. I saw her call for help and in the 15 minutes we were there we didn’t see a single person helping her. I felt so bad, but her service was impeccable

Had a cashier mess up on my purchase over the weekend (charged twice for an item before I could get the correct bin number) but since I didnt grab a receipt so couldn't prove it. Today, we had a wonderfully pleasant cashier question why my wife was tracking the scanned purchase like a hawk and when we explained what had happened (just as a funny story and reason why my wife was being so observant. Not a complaint), he subtracted the approximate amount off of our bill! I'd been feeling guilty for the last few days over over-paying for chocolate almonds and this interaction just made my rainy Thursday so much brighter. Wonderful customer service and grocery experience!

Layout of this store is terrible, doesn't make sense. Unorganized. Selection is limited. River District location way better and more organized.

Also, they're stocking products with stale dates. (ie.best before date is literally on the day that you're there). I'd expect these to either be discounted or removed.

I love shopping at savon foods, and this location has a self-checkout and line up at different entrances.if the lineup is too long I just go to the self checkout which is a lot quicker sometimes.overall it has a variety which I need, price matching is a plus, very helpful staff when help is requested.

Great store overall, staff have been nice, especially one guy at the checkout that is regularly there. Prices seem a bit high at times, although they have many great products and good prices/discounts too.

Every time I visited this location for grocery shopping and bottle deposit recycle. It depends on which staff serve you but I found some middle age ladies team members treated me rude and angry manner. They really hate working here but I really don't like this attitude. Don't bring negative and grumpy feelings to us because you guys have no special skills to earn money. Your goal is going to send money back to family members in India and the Philippines.

I only use this store because close to me.
Customer service desk clerks and pharmacy staff are rude, cold, sarcastic and passive aggressive. They have to seriously work on their customer service. It really makes feel bad whenever I face them. You management people of this store. Are you guys ok that your customers feel bad after shopping at your store? Please do something!

Has a very good deli and the staff are very quick and friendly. Also there produce is always stocked and fresh. Highly recommend this Save On Foods compared to others.

Check the dates of anything you buy here.
There is often expired food on the shelves; often times it even sits there for up to a week after the due date.
This store is sub-par.

Meat selection is unimpressive. Meat I did buy wasn't very well butchered. Grandview is your better option but if you can't make it that far try t&t Kingsway and Gladstone. Deli section looked great but I wasn't there for that and didn't try anything, you had to stand really close to people lined up while at deli- no social distancing. Cashier seemed pretty annoyed that he had to enter my save on card # manually from my phone - I probably won't be back, not with t&t 3 blocks closer.

Great location of Save on Foods. It’s my usual go to for grocery shopping. The staff are amazing particularly Garry.
One little issue that I have is that some of the staff are not considerate of those who use reusable bags, and invite the next customer to the register before I’m done packing my stuff. I understand there’s a lineup, however, I believe offering help to pack would go a longer way than having the next customer come in and pay while I’m packing my things. Either that or just please wait until I finish packing.

Prices are way too high compared to any other grocery store nearby to the point where their discount prices (which are only available w a member card, boo!) are still several dollars more than shopping at Real Canadian Superstore or Donald’s Market.

Customer safety lacking and Covid-19 not taken seriously by it's staff at this location. The cashier I had was playing with money by tossing a dime up and down, then dropped it on the floor and picked it up again. He did not sanitize his hands before handling my groceries and he was NOT wearing a mask. I felt extremely uncomfortable with him speaking to me and putting his dirty hands all over my groceries. Please step up your game, Save On Foods. This pandemic is not over and there are many of us whom are autoimmune compromised and actually take safety and sanitization seriously!

For 3 weeks I have been trying to get the meat special on Tuesday. It has been mainly my fault for going in at 4: 30. So today I went in to a local one at 3: 15 and were sold out so I politely asked when they were to be more thinking they might do up a couple as they are in special but was told I have to wait 15min as I had to go to another store close to another save on I thought I would just pop in and I did. So now this one doesn't even have a working meat counter so I ask about the souvlaki and was pointed to a meat cooler with 3 left unfortunately not the kind I liked so again asked and was told to wait for someone to come help me and 13 min later no one so left and decided to never shop there again.
Also the first one was treating covid like a joke.

I wonder what happened to the customer service we used to get from stores like this and Safeway thriftys etc

I have been going to this location seems forever the staff is great in all departments, especially the bakery staff and manager she and even the other managers are great friendly helpful always willing to go the extra mile for you. I cannot say how hard working and friendly and helpful they are all from stock person and stock manager she was great, cashier to management. Then only down fall is the parking lot is not the best. Thank you one and all keep up the great work you do!

Called ahead to get vaccinated for my upcoming vacation. The pharmacist, William, was very informative, professional, and knowledgable. He answered all of my questions and got my shots set up for me in a very timely manner. When I came in to get the shots, I was very impressed at William's injection technique. It was very quick and painless and overall it was a positive and friendly experience. I will definitely come back here next time I need a vaccine!

The self-serve check out is always having problems. When I ask the sales clerk to assist me to remove an item from the screen it ends up removing the wrong item and then I have to get a refund from the customer service desk. They really need to get the self serve machines fixed so this doesn't keep happening.

First impression was this may be difficult to get in and out however surprisingly access was easy and convenient with underground parking. We're from out of province and needed to use the pharmacy to fill a prescription.very helpful, friendly and accommodating service. Store was handy to pick up much needed supplies as well.

I came in the evening to buy an anniversary cake and thought I'd just go there, pay for it, and go back home. This was NOT the case as a list of BAD experiences followed one after another.

First off, when I went to pay for the cake, the cashier asked if we wanted a bag, but didn't even allow us to answer and insisted we just carry the cake without one.

Second, we went back to the bakery section to ask for a writen dedication. The guy that was hanging around there seemed like he didn't belong in that area. He was wearing blue gloves and HOLDING A MOP. We asked him if we could get a dedication and I was honestly surprised and skeptical when he said he would do it. What happened next was UNBELIEVABLE.he TOUCHED ALL THE CHOCLATE that goes on the cake WITH THE SAME GLOVES HE USED TO HOLD THE MOP. I was utterly disgusted and asked him if he was thinking of changing his gloves at some point because I saw him holding the mop with the same pair of gloves. He DID NOT APOLOGIZE and just said, "oh yeah, I will".

Third, when he went back to write the dedication, he called another staff member to help him out, but we seemed to have been waiting for quite some time now. The customer before us was frustrated that the writing on his cake looked like it had been done by a 5 year old.

Fast forward, we were waiting and waiting for our writren dedication and this was already 20 minutes later. There were no other customers and 2 staff members. We asked the same dirty gloved guy how much longer it would take and he said "I screwed up the first one, I don't work in this area so I called someone else to help". This was the tipping point. Why did this staff member tell us he could do it when HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HOW! We waited another 5 minutes for a THIRD staff member to come. It took another 5 minutes for her to write on the cake and she got it wrong the first time so we waited another 5 minutes. I spent OVER 30 MINUTES WAITING.

This overall experience was EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING and it could have been avoidable if the dirty gloved staff member had been honest and asked for the proper staff member's help from the very beginning.

The note above where it asked for my comment on this store said I visited it a year ago. However I visit it daily, literally. It is essentially a grocery store and the people are generally friendly and there's not much more you could ask for in this day and age so I say it's as good as it can get for what it is.

I love that there is a cute little floral section, the layout of the store remains consistent which is much appreciated as is the service by Carol. Gotta love delivery service, but sometimes prices are a bit high, although price matching option always helps with that!

In my country we use different types of detergents for hand washing and machine wash. Ram was putting stuff in the aisle and asked me if I need help. I told him I'm new to Canada. He was very polite and took his time to explain different kinds of detergents and helped me solve the problem.
Wonderful customer service.

Went there today for the first time, sign up to the rewards cards 2 days ago. Cause I had a a gift card from them. Went in and was expecting to save on some food. But when I walked up and stared ringing what i got. The total was 160 for 4 bags of groceries, then gave my rewards card and was told it didnt work, atleast the cashier was helpful and rang a spare card in so it took off 60 dollars. Still getting home I felt ripped off. Didnt get half the things that was on my list cause 12 dollars for gouda cheese when I get the same one from idependant for 7 and the same one at superstore for 5. If you go here feel free to be ripped off. Save yourself money drive 10 mins to superstore where 160 dollars of groceries is a good shop and fills your cupboards

I dropped 2 prescriptions to this store (one for me and one for my 11 yo daughter). I picked them up 1 day later and the pharmacist (Charlene) told me to sign a paper which shows that I got my 11 yo daughter's prescription. I signed the paper but told the pharmacist why would she need this paper. This never happened before to me. It's absurd. It wasted my time and it costs SOF more which leads to high prices to customers.

They sometimes have products that the best before date are passed couple of months or greater than 90 days. If you are buying a product on sale, please, check the bb date. I only attached the recent photo here.

Nice NEW store. I did find parking in the street. I find it weird the setup to pay as after you paid you have to go back inside through the store to get out, and especially if you don't have a bag and hold one or two items it looks as if you grabbed an item and didn't pay and just go out and that is not a good feeling, it's a horrible setup

I was very disappointed with how the cashier I had today (Franklyn) treated me as a customer. He was unable to read my cards number so he guessed incorrectly and another save-on-more persons account came up. I asked if he could look me up by phone number instead but he reluctantly said he would have to start all over again. I only had 5 items so it would not have been a huge ordeal for him to redo the transaction but he acted as such and said “it’s only 25 points” and told me I probably don’t want to waste my time. I’m shocked at how unhelpful he was and how unwilling he was to properly correct his mistakes. People like this should not have job interacting with customers. 25 points don’t matter he is right but his poor attitude was enough to make me reconsider my shopping at save on foods king Edwards location.

I always have a good experience for every visit. The only issue I am not happy with the self-checkout staff. Mila and the Asian lady with glasses always behave in a rude and bad manner. You guys should learn how to treat customers with respect. If you don't like customer service jobs, you should choose a job which you don't need to deal with customers. Overall, I enjoy shopping here.
