Went to save on for corn. They were out of fresh so I settled for packaged. They looked decent but when I went to boil them when I got home they were rotten. It would be $20 gas to return them at least and time I didn’t have. Check your produce!

Robert K provided really nice and kind service today. He opened up the register for us and apologized for the delay. Lovely young man

It is truly the worst grocery store chain on Vancouver Island. This particular location is a fine example of why.

High prices. No "sales" items unless you obtain their tracking card and open an account. They should have stuck with Overwaitea. That name would not have been as blatant a lie.

Items out of stock when the store opens in the morning, meaning they have few if any stockers working overnight to get things ready. You may as well show up 5 minutes before closing.

Minimal cash register service, with constant pushing to use the self checkouts "if you are in a hurry. " I'm not in a hurry, but you don't give 10% discount for self checkout, so I want service checkout. SCAN YOUR FIRST ITEM. PLACE ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA. UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA. PLEASE WAIT FOR ASSISTANCE.

To top it all off, the music that blares out of the sound system here is enough to make even the most cheerful person shudder. I've heard declarations of undying love bruited at top volume the entire time I was there. Whitney Houston levels of passion and volume (. AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII WILLL ALWAYS LOVE YOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUU) as I try to remember whether it was breakfast sausages or ground beef that my wifebhad asked for. "Forever Young" by Alphaville seems another popular selection, generally as I try to make a produce selection.

They had Cher "If I could turn back time" on the other day loud enough for me to wonder when they were going to dim the lights, lower the glitter ball and open up a soft drink bar. Endless uneasy, forced listening.

I won't be back, but as we all know very well, Jimmy Pattison could not give a rat's.

Colton. S the most superb employee ever, he helped us find our meat he also helped us find our fries, and found us our best dinner too. He is an astounding example of what an exemplary employee should be. Made us all feel like old friends. I can't say I've had better service anywhere else than with this employee. A Gentleman and a schollar.

Save-on-Nothing! Download a competitor grocers app such as thriftys and you will quickly see nearly every product is cheaper. Daryl is fat enough already, spend your money locally. Save on is not locally owned and they have very few locally produced products. If you don't believe me try finding a Vancouver Island coffee brand - they are not sold at Ssve on! Eff this place!

A mess inside. They were doing renovations, but just disorganized and shabby. Sad produce. Bought steaks that we discovered to be expired. 200km away at the lake.

After shopping for 35 years at this store, I am going to the 49th for my groceries from now on. The new store is lovely but I am constantly waiting in long, slow line-ups and the self serve tills intensely put me off. The service at this store was once excellent and it now gets a 1/5 from me.

Great store lots of selection. There bakery so delicious. They have a delicious hot food. Tried something new artichoke and Asiago dip. People you gotta try this. Great staff very friendly and I am talking about the store of my home town of Duncan B. C.

Of all the Save on foods I've visited, this definitely one of them. It has food, milk and savings. It's well worth visiting if you need things

The new store in Ladysmith is beautiful. Unfortunately they have only 2 tills open with a store full of customers and you can't take any items that need a scale/weighed through the express lane. Very disappointing. If you want great service in Ladysmith skip save on foods and go to the 49th Parellel grocery store.

This is my local and it’s SO much better now it has a proper deli, butchers, seafood section and bakery. Ton of new staff that have been lovely so far, glad to have it close by
