Save On Foods

Save on foods in Port Hardy, BC is the worst grocery store in BC. Absolutely no sense lf customer service and since they enjoy monopoly, just about anything goes. The chicken breasts are pathetic.

Always crazy busy, poor Custer support and flyer items rarely in stock.
I bought some artificial crab sticks to only find out at home that they had expired 2 day before my purchase date.

Everything you'd want and expect from Save On. Selection will be limited on some items, and the store busier than usual on days the Ferry is in.

Anything you need can be ordered in. Was fairly quick too

Not sure where they get their chicken breast from, and not even sure if it came from a chicken, unless they are feeding the chickens old rubber tires. Avocados for some reason, like the chicken. No particular taste either? Not worth $5 a pack let alone $20 that I paid.save your money and buy tofu, at least you know that has no flavor and is 1/4 the price.

Well-stocked store. Lots of fresh products. Unfortunately, many offers are only available as a customer card holder. This isn't very effective if you're only shopping once as a holidaymaker.

Visited this store last week and was told (accused) of being 'the wanted kidnapper in the news' by a cashier (older woman). "He looks just like him! " she said to the other customers in the line behind me. They all looked at me closely. I explained I was not the wanted fugitive and was on a sea kayaking trip for several days and was not following the news. She kept it up and did not stop. It was very unnerving. I half-expected her to call the police. Absolute craziness and a very poor reflection on this company!

The workers try hard to please everyone, which isn't a small job in itself. Unfortunately, we are the end of the line for the delivery trucks, so the quality that they deliver here is not so good.
I'm sure it's something management will try to address.

Very friendly staff who went well out of their way to make people from out of town feel welcome.

This is an awesome store with great employees. I read a review saying not to go here lol it’s the only store, if you live here, you shop here or starve.

Staff were hardworking and friendly, the store was very busy, but they were still very efficient!

The store itself is nothing to write home about. Bad produce, expensive meats, pretty dirty and messy shelves.
However, the people that work there are FANTASTIC! Friendly, welcoming, I almost always leave with a smile on my face thanks to the cashiers and stockers!
If we have to be stuck with one grocery store in town, I guess I'm happy we've got this one.

Great local people, friendly service. The town hub. Everyone and anyone you know in town will probably be there sooner or later.

Rush hours here are insane. Do not recommend if you have sensory overload during peak times (3-5pm). Staff are always wonderful!

If you shop here, review your receipt.
Make sure that you are not being charged for a bag or bags when you bring/use your own.
Every time I have shopped here and used my own reusable bags I have always found a 0.20$ charge for bags that I never got/used.

It's a fair market, well kept. Bad experiences at the deli tho with two younger girls wearing masks.they are very rude to customers, moody, snappy, they need to go
