Save-On-Foods

Was very nice, great selection, friendly staff and all the checkouts were open which meant almost no checkout line.

Very good experience in safe on foods, they have a wide variety of stuff and they have reasonable prices

Looked all over Vernon for cat litter that isn't like sand, unfortunately at this time I couldn't find natural stuff like wood pellets or wood chip type of stuff. Save on was my last ditch attempt to find a better cat litter and although save on foods didn't have it either there was an alternative with the western foods brand that will have to make do. The majority of the stores in Vernon carries special kitty or something like that, and Walmart was the only place that carries the natural fiber wood pellets or wood chip type cat litter. If in future save on could bring in this type of cat litter, I would most appreciate although the western family scented non-clumping cat litter is economically priced, for what it is.

Mid-sized Save-on-foods. Deli section is a bit small but decent selection. Good place for a quick shopping pitstop. Be careful and lock your car: this place is close to Polson park.

We enjoy shopping at Save On on occasion. We often go in to buy Squishmallows lol

Sterling, our cashier today was so kind and friendly. We had a great chat! Actually everyone who works there is so pleasant!

I wish the prices were cheaper!

If I only need say, two items, will go here. Anything more I go the extra mile, much cheaper elsewhere.

Very expensive compared to other stores. Poor selection on many things.meat. Asian foods.cheeses were priced beyond what I can afford. Bakery was lacking. Produce was very nice though.

They don’t carry any of the gluten free options that the Save On in Kelowna carries. I recently moved to Vernon and now commute to Kelowna once every few weeks to get the gf groceries I need.

Not enough staff. They put in self checkout and now there isn’t enough staff
Waited over 10 mins to buy my groceries and this isn’t the first time. Absolutely terrible customer service

Good vitamin selection. Organic eaters shouldn't be penalized for eating healthy, thru high pricing.

Watch the prime rib patties,
The meat was spoiled had to throw out half a box was not warped.the box was still sealed. So out of 6 patties only 3 where good. I paid $15.28 for 3 patties. Please watch out.

I like the varieties, you can score points for rewards on doing purchases. But not all goods' price can compete to other stores. Selective promos

Friendly staff. Large variety of local products. They also have a decent size bulk section. They also have a good discount section. The parking lot is insanely busy though.

I like save on. Sure superstore seems cheaper but not for every shopping trip. I watch flyers and shop at save on.

An update Save on came to the party with a cash credit and points. Was handled very professionally. Absolute disaster online delivery service to Silverstar Mountain. Twice did an order on line twice did not get delivery. Charged my credit card confirmed delivery but once the window of delivery came and went no delivery I had to phone the store and was told the delivery had been cancelled x 2.2 days Skiing missed at a cost of $200.00 no compensation. Don't get sucked in how good the delivery service is.
I will never use this service, which they charge you for and charge for bags.

Save-On-Foods is a good place to go to find products that are not found in other food stores. Although, you need to beware of price differences between Save-On-Foods and other grocery stores like the PC Superstore.

Was at this store I had a food voucher for 40.00
They do not tell you you can not use self scanner when you have them

So went through self scanning
Person working that till that night made the store look bad

I scanned all my food
Had my voucher
She decided to loose her cool and tell me how she did not like to self scan and that you could not suspend and order you had to cancel it and start over at another till that she could not finish order lol what kind of till do you have this is the only store in Canada that can’t

So she called manager he came over told me the same song and dance

Meanwhile there was another staff member standing at front of store getting involved saying thing he should of not saying like it his tax dollars and got me work up as he does not know me from a hole in the ground do not judge a book by it cover if we all stop going to highway 6 save on foods how many will be unemployed over them comments this guy got me so mad I called the police to have him charge for walking up and touching the person I was with on the arm and saying to him sorry about your friend your with making points

No one working that night new how to use these vouchers except the new be from downtown Safeway she keep her mouth shut and made me smile at the end of her sale

So called manager that night did not know how to make it better.
He did not know how to do the voucher.
He did not have a head office number.
He gave me managers number for store but it was deli department.
Once I told him I was getting police involved he asked me what he want him to do.
Like hello ask the staff member to go to office and deal with this issue of a staff member who tax dollars are being used
This took over 1 hour
I final got home and police called me with a file number asked that I make my mind up but to call Robert at there head office and to make sure they are aware of this. I called the next morning talked to cash office and explained this and store manager called me back

Went in store next morning that same dude was in meet department and made a point of coming out and shaking his head and walking by me and shaking it

So I let the cash office lady know

So there is a racist employee here staff that do not know there jobs so I think this store should close for a day like Starbucks did and give proper training before they end up with a bad law site

As of today employee is still working here and have heard nothing about what actions have been taking or an apology

Costumer are always right if it was not for Costumer we would not have jobs. It also go back to training polices reviews write ups back to the old generation where if you did have something in stock you offer rain checks Procedure to be followed.

I said I would not post but as I have not got a letter of Apology from store or employee or here a gift from us sorry for the stress inconvenience the assault and why

Because here another company that will follow others company’s that shut there doors if they do not change there tune oldies generation will understand this comment

Both exits are a driving DISASTER
and the parking spots are very narrow. I wish they had one LARGE exit/entrance with a traffic light.

Excellent service. Very clean store. People are very helpful. Meat department is great. If they don't have what you want they will get out for you. Love this store!

It's got all your grocery items, deli, bakery, butcher and a pharmacy. The only thing it lacks is an in-store cafe.

Very expensive and always super busy. But it always has great produce and helpful staff. Thats why its busy friendly employees

The products are fresh and presented in a mouth watering way. The pricing is right and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

As a unfrequent shopper of save-on-foods, I find their point system a bit insulting for new shoppers and inconvenient to old customers. Prices seem a bit higher than other grocers as I saw my favorite yogert, astro balkan, on "sale" in the store for what I normally pay regular price at other stores. On the plus side their produce is always fresh and looks great. This store in Polson park has decent parking and close to eaterys in the area.

Vegs and fruit are fresh. If you have kids, you can have a stamp card, each visit your kid get one cookie or fruit, and collect 10 stamp/visit can take it and change to a small gift. It’s great idea that calm my kid down at supermarket.

Staff are always friendly and helpful! Love save-on foot that reason. Also their quality and deals are awesome.

Supermarkets are boring and not much to write home about. Here is another save on foods. Pretty much the same as the last one you went to. I wish they had a pensioner checkout so every shopping trip doesn't turn into me waiting for some poor old soul trying to figure out how to enter their pin into the same payment terminal as every other payment terminal in every store in the county every time.

I do majority of my grocery shopping at this store. Not the biggest store but has more than enough selection to satisfy the daily needs of most people. This and in conjunction with a very friendly and helpful staff has always made my shopping here pleasurable.

Distorted has very friendly staff is very convenient for me it's on my way home prices are competitive all around what you'd expect from a grocery store

Always great products! Lots of variety.service is always great! Prices are great if you wait for sales in the flyers.but still reasonable if not on sale.

I was in the store for less than half hour and had two employee's ask me if I needed help finding something, got to love customer service like that!
