They have best selectin of ice cream and sales for them however Staff is Rude and security is over doing it

This store is so understaffed. The line is always long and the pharmacy doesn't even answer their phone. Go somewhere else.

Store was clean. Produce and baked goods looked amazing. Staff was helpful and very friendly

I would shop here more but the prices are too high compared to everywhere else. The store is nicely setup and has pretty much everything you would want. Staff however seem to have a bit of an attitude, and on two different occasions was trying to find out the price on something that wasn't labeled correctly and in both cases got attitude from staff when trying to get an answer, in once case getting hovered by a female security guard as I just pointed out the fact that the product was not priced and it was confusing for customers. I have been shopping at this location for over 40 years. I don't come here as much anymore due to the staff interactions and the high prices. Hopefully they can address these shortfalls in what is otherwise a fairly good store. I feel the only saving on food I do here, is when I come out of the store with half the items I intended to purchase due to sticker shock, and end up heading over to Freshco or No Frills for the rest of what I need, even though these store are farther away.in some cases the prices on the same items are half of what this store charges.

As a local who shops here- I find it quite offensive that I can come in after work dressed to the nines and perform my shopping in peace. But if I come into this store wearing shorts and a tank top, im followed by security and asked several times by employees if I "Need help" finding what I'm looking for. When I worked in a grocery store - we only did this if we were watching a shopper for a reason. Now im not sure whats going on here but I only know whats obvious to me. I'm starting to feel very uncomfortable coming into this store to shop as they seem to discriminate againt you- based off how you look. Generally when someone needs help looking for something they will ask for help. To send several employees to ask is out of the ordinary.

Been shopping here for 15 years. My favourite grocery store. Great inventory, great service, and great layout.

Very clean store with lots of variety. Great deli. I particularly like the checkout system-it's so civilized.

This place never gives me a hard time for being mask exempt. Except one crusty cashier. I explained to her why I was and I think she wished she never asked me to put the mask on. Well, goes to show you, never be judgemental you don't know why people can't wear a mask, so socially distance as a secondary precaution. Staff is so helpful and kind. Their produce and protein selection are always beautiful.

Been coming here for years. Great staff and the store is well kept. The produce alone is worth thr trip.

Who in there right mind goes to save on, I mean every other grocery store in this town is cheaper, worst part is if you have their points card the savings is usually the same as if you just went to a different store, so save on foods and shop No frills or something

This store never subs items even with comments " please sub if out of stock " and the box is checked to sub items not sure how u miss two spots.person that came out to bring the groceries never said hello thank you good bye nothing.never will deal with this store again

Went to this store this morning to purchase a turkey. When I got to the turkeys there is a sign "limit 1 with a $50.00 order". Being a single person, I purchase well over $100.00 each week, just not all at once. Whose decision is it for this? Even the staff was appalled at thisat this decision. Very disappointed with Save-On and their young rude manager at this store.

Found some great sales and will add to my presents for others. Staff pleasant and no waiting at all

False Advertisements. Sales prices aren't applied to the system!

Cashier collected wrong price. I went to customer service and still not getting proper help. Customer had to go and take picture to prove sales price. It turns out customer service doesn’t know how to correct the price, and then asked for supervisor’s help. Even when the supervisor came, there were no apologies. Only long conversations between them, and trying to find an excuse to cover the truth….

Really a WASTE of customer’s time! They not only over charged 65%, but also had a bad customer service attitude!

An amazing customer service lady was so helpful when I went in but the other staff that answered phone when I called with same question this lady helped me with the question I f had a complete different answer im so happy to have had real help

My favorite store they have all my needs and especially chicken wings part are amazing great customer service and warm welcoming staff highly recommend

Lots of selection. The cashier line always looks long but is quick to get through.

The staff at this location, make the location. Anyone you need to ask a question knows the answer or will find the answer. Smiles, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
For me the prices can be stiff but they pay the wage of some great neighbors.
I also love their bakery. Fresh!

I do not frequent Save-On-Foods as much as I would like to because honestly I cannot afford it. The prices in the store are very high and some may not think so but people should try to live off a low income like Disability and then try to shop there. So many things in life you cannot do like others can when you have so little to live on. I love the quality of the food there though and if you can afford it then I would totally give a full 5 stars for you to see. If I could shop there more often and buy what I need then I would definitely give 5 stars. Since I can't I have to say 3 is fair

They made us stand in line while the checkout people stood around doing nothing. How does that prevent COVID?

Horrible parking. Impossible to find a space. You'll be walking a mile. Awful location.

Prices are high. Be careful with expiry dates. Check before you buy. I just bought week old brownies from the bakery section. Gross. $8 for two brownies and they are too old to eat. Too far to drive to return it.

Decent interior look, decent selection. The layout of this store isn't the best design, and the save on prices can be a little high for a family of 5 in the lower mainland. Overall a nice place to shop, and I am a fan of some of their bakery products.

I would not do ALL of my grocery shopping here though.

I live a two minute drive from this store. But I will be making an effort to actively avoid this particular Save On and go to one of the other ones, further away. They seem to have a constant issue with inventory. They run out of the most basic stuff, frequently. I can’t remember the last time I came in here with a grocery list and didn’t have to drive somewhere else to pick up other things. Basil, tofu, zuccchini, lemons.these are some examples of items I’ve been unable to get frequently. Basil in particular is always hit and miss. And yet, the other save on store in west maple ridge doesn’t seem to have the same issue. Which leads me to think that it’s a supply management and planning problem at this store.

Donna in the floral department was really helpful when I called to order a specific hand-tied bouquet. Eventhough I couldn't visualize how it could look, the finished product was prettier than I thought it would be. Thank you for all your help!

Been a long time customer. I go to the pharmacy regularly and they're great there. Super friendly and helpful.

They intentionally disregard covid protocols. They posted a sign at their front entrance stating they will not enforce mask wearing dispite having options like curb side and online ordering available for those who don't wear masks. They are either anti science or ignorant, and their policies make Save on a hotspot for anti maskers to shop. Been a lifelong customer of save on foods but I am switching to Freshco and superstore as they actually care about their customers and have the stones the enforce the law.

I wanted to give a special acknowledgement to Linda Picul in the meat department! She is absolutely incredible and every time we're in the store we happen to run into her busily stoking the meat cases and answer customer questions. She's so helpful and we really appreciate her dedication to the job! Thank you Linda!

Great happy hour specials every week day. Today was chicken wings 50% off which was 25 cents each!

Marina in the bakery department really came through for us today! We needed a princess cake on zero notice for a little girl who isn't getting a party this year, and Marina was able to put together something beautiful for us while we shopped. Thank you, Marina!

Open bulk bins. People scooping product without masks. Olive bar also open. People scooping without masks. Superstore no longer has bulk food bins open. During COVID does that not seem like the right thing to do. I can't go back to save on until they comply with same safety measures that other stores are implementing

This store is so clean and well organized. They have worked very hard to keep shelves full of much needed food and supplies. There covid protocols are fantastic. I feel safe in this store.

Can't put bags on the self serve tills. But they still want to charge for plastic that will end up in the landfill. Smh.

It’s expensive but you can always find the things you are looking for and the quality is good. I’m just kind of concerned with the lack of masks at times.

Elvira was very friendly and efficient. We were very confused trying to select a cake at the bakery section, even though she was very busy she still helped us with patience and a smile on her face. Kudos to you girl!

Very sloppy for quality control. Bought sale cheese found the comer of cheese already moulded, bacon smelling rotten while cooking.wanted to buy some bread, and they were all still frozen with full price! Check your product carefully before you buy it.

Really good place to shop at as long as you have the save on card (free to sign up) it's crazy how much the card makes a difference takes dollars off your bill.

Good quality produce with most of the items you need. Went in for some lemons and couldn't find any, though.

One self checkout open 9: 30pm July31 while about 15 people lined up. Clueless worker finally opens another one up after some guy lost his cool. Ripped off for produce several times by cashiers.

My first choice in SM. Always very well stock, well lit, friendly people. I would.like to see more self checkouts.

Very clean spacious store, friendly staff, lots of product selection. Bakery is excellent. Parking is a bit tricky at times, however not within the stores control.

Beside the higher prices, the store itself is fine. But inside the store there is a section with BC wines. Since I'm not familiar with BC-made wines I asked a sales person if there were any similar to German reislings. They gave me several to taste, all of them weren't even close and were quite poor. But I purchased one, not too bad, sort of, sauvignon blanc, just to support the local grape growers. When we opened the bottle at home, we realised that was not the wine we tasted at the store. It was something heavily flavored, more like vermouth, with horrible taste and even worse aftertaste. Not even wine, but some blend. In my opinion, "bait and switch" approach is unacceptable, and makes more harm to the retailer than good in a long run. Now I'm not surprised why there are no shoppers in this section. Next time, for the same price of $20 (!) I bought a bottle of excellent genuine reisling from Mozel at the BC Liquor store in the mall just next door from this store. Same price, but what a difference! Amazing! [the purchase was in Fall'19]

Bought a 1/4 chicken combo thing at the deli. I should have known by the furtive manner the employee tossed the leg and thigh into the takeout container that something was up⁠—turns out the chicken had been sitting so long it was more like a solid chunk of desiccated boot leather. Lesson learned, have to tell the person behind the counter specifically not to give me food a starving dog wouldn't even eat.

Fast friendly service. I recommend there chicken pot pie from the fresh cooked food department. It is a delicious lunch time snack. No to unhealthy either.

Good central location. Has pretty much everything you need grocery store wise, close to plenty of other shopping opportunities. Within a block or so of transit.

Clean, lots of product, not always the best priced though. Some products are significantly priced higher then other stores in the area.

Chinese food could use improvement, meat is top notch but ginger beef coating not crisp - just mush, spring rolls kind of soggy, chicken was good/crispy batter, noodles ok, rice ok - (pork) fried rice would have been better

I'm not sure why everything is over priced at this particular store, including items from the "restaurant " area. Over priced even compared to other Save On stores

Some sassy older cashiers spice up a normally bland 7: 00am trip to this clean (often hectic during peak hours) suburban vice monger. Alcohol, unhealthy food. With selection like this it's no wonder you're so unhealthy! ‍️

I really think that you are better off buying at Superstore or Walmart. The prices here are too expensive. However, I like the atmosphere and they have a good magazine rack and now they are adding take out food and a chicken wing bar with different flavors of wings to take home with you.

We will never shop again at another Save-On-Foods in our life.

My wife and I shopped at this location on July 20th at 8: 45 pm, we use the self-checkout, and one of our items scanned improperly, which we were unaware of.the lady man in the self checkout counter came over to us and very brutally declared in front of everyone:

"Are you dumb question mark didn't you know this scanned wrong? ! Are you trying to steal something!? "

My wife and I looked at each other's shocked and stunned, by the rudeness of the lady. When clearly it was their fault that they entered the wrong barcode into their system for this item, how could this possibly be our fault using your self checkout counter? By the way she was probably late 50s working the self checkout counter.

The lady then called over the manager of the store, and he proceeded to tell us that the lady was correct in accusing us, and that we had no right to argue. And told us we were wrong.

This is by far, the worst experience we have ever had it any grocery store in the past 30 years. The manager was the most unprofessional and self-centered douchebag we have ever met, and the lady was ignorant and accusing, and use the word "dumb" directed towards my wife, which I'm considering starting a slander lawsuit over.

These people should both be fired. We will never shop again at another Save-On-Foods in our life.

We shop here regularly. The produce is typically fresh, clean and abundant. The option to buy wine now is a nice addition. Prices are great and if you can shop according to the sales, you're in luck. The points system is also a nice bonus. Use them for groceries or other goodies like technology or vacations. Friendly staff are always helpful here, although we hardly need to take advantage of them.
