Bought me some cat food. My cats seem to like it. Mr Buckles is kind of picky too. My other cat sometimes pukes randomly. But seems to work. They keep eating it.

Pricier than other places but much nicer shopping experience and better quality fresh food. Staff are also friendly and helpful.

No signage on limits for sugar. While waiting in line, I was approached by the operations manager who basically stated I was unfair for purchasing sugar all for myself, when in reality it’s a business transaction that curates goods for the community. A somewhat embarrassing experience as I am trying to do my job and not “take everything for me”. Please improve customer experience and communication before customers spend their time lifting and loading items into their carts. Following store policy is never an issue - but it needs to be made clear what the policy is so that the public can follow. What is actually unfair is the customers not being informed of a limit before having already exerted energy and time. An employee was also right next to me in the aisle as I was loading the sugar and said it was no problem. Very confusing experience.

Me and my friends walk down to this store commonly. It has what we are looking for at great prices

Found what we needed and quickly went through the check out process. Clean isles and nice employees

Even though I can walk to Upper Sumas 6, no employee was wearing an orange shirt today. I've shopped here for years, but can't condone that kind of ignorance. So Jimmy, Mama going to big bad Costco. Smarten up.

Didn't have several items that they list on their website. One they reported as out of stock but was actually in. Not the end of the world, just a minor annoyance. Overall the best Save On in town and such a convenient location.

One of the better-organized grocery stores in Abbotsford. Home delivery is also nice, though there are a lot of substitutions.

The store is not enforcing the mandatory mask policy. Several customers are walking in unmasked and staff are looking the other way

I am 69 and have mobility issues so the delivery service is critical for me. In general, the store is great and the products are always good, the service staff is helpful and friendly. I don’t mind spending the higher prices because they do have a union and hopefully some of that goes to good wages and benefits for their employees. I have a weird issue with the online shopping though. As I say I am 69 and don’t get around much so I have been using their delivery service since it first started. Lately things have gone a bit screwy. My groceries were delivered to the wrong building once and to the wrong apartment once. My address hasn’t changed for a long time so I am confused by these strange occurrences. I have taken advantage of their generous return policy as sometimes I have received the wrong items, occasionally the frozen items had partially thawed by the time I received them and occasionally the produce is not the quality I thought it should be. Recently things really went south. I ordered mushrooms which were grey and slimy and completely inedible. As usual, customer service was gracious and offered me the 3X your money back. However, here it is January and I still haven’t seen that refund. Even worse, with my next order I asked for peppers and mushrooms. Apparently those were both out of stock? Later that day I had someone drive me to Save-on and sure enough there were loads of mushrooms and peppers. Furthermore, in that same order I asked for a small rutabaga and a large russet potato. What I received was a large rutabaga and a small russet potato. If I were paranoid I would think it was retaliation for asking for a refund on the inedible mushrooms. But of course I know their customer service is far too good for that. Like I said at 69 with mobility issues I don’t have a lot of options when it comes to getting groceries. So that’s why I gave them 1 star. I am very disappointed and I hope they can do better

This is great place for those weekly items you ran out of. The bulk selection is pretty good as well

I was so disappointed to see that a staff member was wearing a face shield instead of a mask. Face shields aren’t acceptable under the current mandate and save on foods is putting not only their customers, but their staff at risk by allowing this to happen.

Plenty of consumers walking around the store without a mask on, advised manager, nothing was done.

A little bit expensive. No hot tables for food like the one by Boston Pizza. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Great quality food.

Should be called save off foods. You can find pretty much anything here and it clean and looks good. But it's expensive.

This is the second time they've cancelled an online order after confirmation, without notifying at all. Extremely frustrating.

I like this grocery store but I had a bad experience at their meat department once. The person decided to close the meat department early and even though the meat wasn't put away. He felt it wasn't worth putting the customer first and selling me any. So I don't buy meat there much anymore. I feel the quality isn't the greatest and the service is starting to slide. So I buy my meat in Aldergrove at Bonettis and get good quality for less money and the service is excellent

Butcher department? - Just went into the store and asked for four steaks, two I requested as 7oz and the others at 5oz. There was a younger guy there who seemed confused by this. He told me the scale only went by grams and he couldn't tell me the size of the precut steaks in the case but being that its the most expensive cut that's pretty important.
So I asked him if we could get the sizes I asked for cut. He then disappears into another area and comes back a minute later to say there is no more tenderloin in the store at all and the already cut ones are all they have?
It honestly felt like I was burden on his day and that he was not telling me the truth but he didn't want to do the work. I paid for the ones they had only to avoid having to go into another store during a pandemic, but will just continue to go to the Sumas location were we usually go and who has never made this request an issue in the past. Just super disappointed, with this experience.

I gave four stars because I like the cleanliness of the store and the friendliness of most of the staff. However I feel no business should leave you feeling like your a burden.

Quality of fresh produce and fish, store very clean and bright. Staff helpful and cheerful. A pleasure to shop there

The store in itself is what you would expect from any Save On Foods - friendly staff, nice layout, clean, etc. However the quality control is lacking. I have frequently bought expired items from this store (no other store, just this one in particular). I'm writing this review because I just made lunch for my kids (pasta with parmesan cheese), and I gave them their's and after they have eaten some I come to find there is MOLD in the parmesan cheese! It's not even near the expiration date. Please do better, you are putting people's health at risk. I'm hoping my children don't get sick now.

Decent vegetables, awesome quality of meat, and they now carry BC wine. Can sample wine almost everyday.

Store is a horror show since.they moved everything.

No continuity or sense to the product arrangement. I avoid the store now.

Like meat products that expired over 2 weeks ago.check the dates everyone. No one seems to care.

Bought 6 apple strudel out of the bakery got home took a bite very and I mean very little apple. Will not buy this product again.

Trying to figure out how I had received one bag for $35 worth of groceries. The meat was not separated and the two avocados were soft. After the teller placed the bag on the counter and some food fell out, I thought that she would realize.

Best staff. Always so nice to my son and give him treats while we are shopping at the store. Great store

Quick and efficient customer service and ability to answer questions regarding the location of a product I inquired about. A little bit pricy on alot of products, but the quality of their fresh food is excellent.

Clean store with lots of parking available. A bit on the smaller side, so not as much variety compared to other Save-On/Price-Mart locations, but has all the necessities.

Good baseline for a grocery store. Fair prices and good selection. They have an app which allows online ordering with free pickup and minimal cost for delivery. By far the best online grocery that I've found so far in the lower mainland.

Save-On-Foods on Whatcom Rd is for the most part a well-stocked, well-managed and fair-priced store, though the speed at checkout and the staff service levels are not fully sustained on each manager's shift. I have noticed that staff responsiveness and knowledgeability dips on certain days. It can add extra time to your shopping trip or might mean more mistakes are made on those specific shifts. Nevertheless, the staff at this store are among the friendliest at any grocery outfit I've been to. Perhaps a tune-up on manager training and a few secret quality checks at this location will ensure standards are upheld through each shift. On it's best days, it's a pleasure to shop at this location.

It's location is legend and aesthetically very pleasing but other than that just a grocery store with higher but reasonable prices.
