Clean facility that's pretty big and boasts an assortment of rooms of different sizes (some kind of private, as well as bigger more hall-like ones). Also has a kitchen facility and clean bathrooms so a great place to look into possibly booking for events and whatnot.

We have two resident geese that return to nest ear after year.
They also help keep the lawn short and fertilize it also in the process.

Having our wedding at the Scandinavian Community Centre was the perfect choice for us! They were so friendly and kept us up to date on everything. So professional and easy to work with

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival - get there early on Saturday if you want the inside cafe food. I was too late and they had completely sold out.

We rented out the centre for our wedding and with their help we were able to make our wedding dreams come true! The staff were wonderful to work with and very accommodating and made sure our day was perfect! I always had so many questions and they were happy to answer them!

We rented out the venue a day before our wedding to decorate and they let us do what we wanted to our hearts content! It took so much stress away because we were able to start getting everything ready early and figuring out the logistics. It's wonderful you can use their tables and chairs if you wish. We decorated the fireplace and it turned out amazing as it's so massive and made of stone so it's beautiful to begin with!

The day of the wedding we were able to get ready there as they have separate rooms to accommodate you if you want to go that route. It definitely was nice to not have to leave the venue at all. For the ceremony we used the massive covered deck outside and it was awesome! I didn't have to worry about rain because it's covered. We even used the garden area for family photos after the ceremony!

We had the reception inside and the caterer's we hired used the industrial kitchen and did their thing. The venue even has a full bar! The staff at the venue bartended and they even accommodated our bar menu wishes which was greatly appreciated. Everyone had such a great time. We got lots of compliments!

We had such a wonderful day it was so amazing to finally see our vision come true. I thank the staff at the Scandinavian Center SO MUCH! We will remember this memory for the rest of our lives! BEST DAY EVER!

Plenty of parking, good bar, you have to hire your own catering, try Len's catering. They know how to make everything well.

Wonderful community centre for the Scandinavian clubs in the Lower Mainland and the community in general. I attend a number of cultural events reach year including Midsummer Fest, the annual Iceland Bake Sale, and others. The building itself is beautiful with wood and stonework and the grounds boast a large, fenced lawn for outdoor events. Strangely enough, I always feel like home when I visit.

We had a good time at kro Aften. With Danish open-faced sandwiches and a beer and a shot of Akvavit. We also had a raffle with prizes. A nice evening.

Tried attending David Buchmann's memorial service this afternoon at this place, only to be denied entrance by Ed Kuhlman at the door whom I've never even met before, because I had no proof of experimental MRNA injection, which is personal, medical information and NO ONE'S business, anyways!? So this tyranny is even being imposed for PRIVATE FUNCTIONS?

Wonderful people and wonderful food. They welcomed us as guests to their annual meeting and were very friendly. Can't wait to get involved with more of their events.

The Midsummer festival is such a fun event that we never miss unless we are visiting Finland. The wife carrying contest is always a lot of excitement!

Another great evening and event here, with Bingo and Danish open face sandwiches, beer and Snaps. A great fest.

I went with a friend to take Norwegian lessons for about a year. Life changed, so we have not yet been able to go back, but I had such a wonderful experience and made so many lovely memories!

Always celebrate midsummer here, and even been to a birthday celebration helf in the building. The centre is big and has a lovely fireplace, there is a bar (only open upon requested parties I assume) and scandinavian art everywhere. Kitchen and parking available. Wonderful place to take an ITA test, with a beautiful field and we'll maintained planters it is a lovely area to walk around and spend some time.

Went there for the Christmas market with my family. It was very busy and had a long lineup. It must be a great place for people who enjoys crowded places. There is a cool viking statue outside tough!

Amazing. My car was pouring smoke out of its hood so i coasted to a stop across the road. This was at 4: 45am. I ended up walking around the other side of the road. The backdrop of near pitch black and then the lights illuminating the windows gsve a very ominous vibe, loved it. 5/5, would fear for my life infront of it at 5am again!

My husband and I recently got married at the Scandinavian Centre. We waded through dozens if not a hundred potential venues but ultimately landed on the venue due to their relaxed vibe and beautiful facilities. If you have planned a wedding, I am sure you know just how stressful it can be and the staff were helpful and phenomenal every step of the way. Carol was available for both our setup and the wedding day itself and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She quickly came up with solutions to our requests, deployed extra tables, found us what we needed, whatever we asked. There was no reluctance and she was never dismissive. The event itself went smoothly, many guests remarking that they loved the character of the centre and that they wish they could hang out there all of the time. We feel the same way. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, that we weren't rushed out and that our guests had access to the entirety of the grounds to find places to sit, chat, walk, or relax. Thank you for making our day so memorable and perfect!
