This is the worst salon I have ever went to I went there to get a but and blow dry when I came the stylist she was a blond lady told me just get a cut I don’t have time to blow dry it’s 4: 30 and we close at 7. I was told her I scheduled this ahead so reluctantly she asked me what cut I want so I told her I want to go short she grabbed a pair of scissors while I was talking and cut half of my hair off which whatever I wanted medium length when it came to wash she would leave every 2 mins and put water on my face cause she was annoyed that now she has to stay even though I was her last client I asked her to just give me curtain bangs and she gave me so short layers that from front it looks I have a bob and when I complained she said well from back
It’s longer? I asked to speak to her manager which the manager told
Me I can give you 10 dollar coupon like a 10 dollar coupon can give me my hair back it’s ruined and I won’t be able to ever get that length back

I wish i could give zero star. I went their for haircut for the first time and told the lady to just shorten my hair, I already had even hairline from bottom. Just want low length. But this lady, she uneven my hairs. I can’t do any style now. I can’t straighten them. She was the worst hairstylist i ever had in my life. And they are expensive. $80 for short length hairs. Wow.

Sue took me in last minute and gave me a haircut exactly what I asked for. My second time here and super happy with the results!

I went here to get a haircut like usual and I explained how I want it like every other time. But my Barber ended up buzzing a artificial hairline and I said I didn’t ask for this and the Barber said “it makes you look sharper” knowing that I know this wasn’t intentional and now I have a easily noticeable messed up hairline that makes it look like a giant Z. This wasn’t the only time the Barber messed up they also cut the back of my head bleeding and the Barber never told me once this happened multiple times like 5 or 6 times at least. Not only that they are never available when you book the appointment you always have to wait at least 10 minutes minimum waiting to finish up another persons haircut or just taking a smoke break even though they have a customer waiting for their customer? And never be generous to let their family member take your appointment waited 45 minutes on my appointment? This barber does the job but not always a good job. They also take numerous phone calls when you’re getting a haircut. This place is at least does a better job than Tommy Guns.

First time at Scissors, and the experience was great! Lena was lovely and did an awesome job with my color and style. I would recommend her for sure!

I’ve been going there for 5 years now, since I was a teen and every time I connect very deeply with the stylist, not sure how. They’ve always been so caring and always take very good care of me and my hair needs. Never had a bad experience here so far and it’s always my number one option to come back. Today, the stylist who cut my hair was Susan and she did a wonderful job of educating me about hair colouring to make the best decision for myself

I visited Scissors twice. I had a great experience there I got my hair colored and styled by Miss Lina. She is really wonderful and helpful. She also gave me some tips to beautify hair. I also got highlights.

I did a hair wash and blowout here. The Hungarian lady who washed my hair didn’t wash my hair properly, barely scratching the surface and got soap all over my face from rubbing the head with her hand. What she did was not washing hair but pouring water into my hair rubbing around with soap. When I complained to her that there was water everywhere on my shirt she said it was because I was texting on my phone. When it came to blow drying the hair, she had no skill. It was just drying out the hair with rollers not styling it.
Overall, it was a complete waste of my time and money.

Came in for a haircut but it was layered weird, a little choppy (you can see the layer outline), and was shorter than I had asked.

I had my haircut done today with John. He was very enthusiastic to do my haircut and really made me feel comfortable. As for the haircut, he did exactly as i requested (mullet) and i have to say it was one of the first times ive left a hair salon happy and pleased with my haircut! This place is a must.:)

I am from out of town and was referred to Paola. She gave me an amazing layered cut and colour. I would highly recommend going to her, she will do a great job.

I really like going to this salon to get my hair cut. Paola is amazing! Salon is clean, friendly, and professional. Prices are very reasonable. They are knowledgeable about hair products also.

I went into book an appointment for a balayage a couple days prior. They quoted me $180 for my length hair. Which I thought was reasonable, so I booked an appointment with Robyn. When I arrived they changed my stylist to Lena. She looked at my hair and said it would cost $250. So I told her what I was told when I booked it. But she insisted the women that told me was wrong and said it’s because she is new here, however I have seen that women almost every time I have come here for a hair cut (5-6 times). So she said the only way she can charge 180 is if I cut my hair short, so I agreed. She then started my hair colouring and right off the bat I noticed that she was rushing and not putting any effort in, she ended up finishing in 1.5 hours rather then 3 and it showed. She was also very rude to me. I ended up with chunky highlights rather then balayage. Also, I even showed her a photo of what I wanted. I am extremely disappointed in my hair cut and colour I received at this salon.

I always get my hair done by the amazing beautiful Lena! She does an amazing job and I would recommend her over and over again! Love this salon

It didnt seem like she was not doing much cutting but alot of combing and she put something in my hair and I have no idea what it was. I didnt say anything because every stylist has their own style. She was quick to get me out of the chair an straight for payment without showing me what she did to my hair and no mirror.which makes sense now because she didnt do anything. Once I paid including a $5 tip, I asked her if can I see the back of my hair? So I want back to the mirror and saw the back. I just trusted that she knew what she was doing and didnt bother checking for layers. When I arrived home, I brushed out my hair and bangs. There were no layers and my bangs were so long that I could not see. So I went back at 830pm. I showed her that my bangs need to be cut so am able to see. I'm not sure if this was a form a discrimination action because I was Indian but I could not find a reason for such a big chunk of hair of my bangs needing to be cut. I've been getting my haircut for 40 years ladies! This was the first time in my life I had such a horrible experience. When I left she did my bangs back. I asked her to cut them shorter and she said no. This was my first visit at Scissors. There is no equality at this store. They pick and choose who they want to give a good haircut to based on what clothes the client wears coming in because they are just looking for a big TIP. I honestly feel I was discriminated against and wasted alot of time having to go back and get the job done properly which they still havent achieved! Yet when I did come back there was not one apology from anyone not even from the stylist or rookie stylist I should say. After reaching out to this company for at least an apology a week ago, I haven't heard a peep. $36 dollars for a couple of inches and not even cutting it properly and no blow dry and no style! What a joke! They discriminate you based on what clothes you wear when you walk in thinking only about their TIP. I purposely dress down for this very reason! DO NOT SUPPORT AN ORGANIZATION LIKE THIS! THEY DO NOT HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS WRITTEN AN AWFUL REVIEW ABOUT THIS PLACE! Just a heads up!

Great service and experience. Hair cut quality is okay. However, prices is too high for me ($26/cut). Probably not coming back.

I went in to scissors for the first time and was able to get an appointment with Robyn! I had a full colour done and I’m so happy with the results. She was awesome, friendly, attentive and gave me exactly what I was looking for. %100 will be back and booking with Robyn! I’ve recommended her to all my friends

I was on the hunt for a new hairdresser since I parted ways with my last one. Being very picky and particular about my hair, it’s never a pleasant experience when searching for a new stylist. I must say Robyn did an amazing job listening to exactly what I wanted; the results were spectacular! I will definitely but coming back and telling all my friends how wonderful and talented Robyn is. I was on a work trip and had some downtime so thought I would drop by the Guildford Town Centre to find a place to get a haircut. Dropped by Scissors and they were able to accommodate me. I needed a trim and got exactly what I needed from Nila. She's very knowledgeable and friendly and I had a great experience. Highly recommend!

During my 88 years, I have had good service at many hair salons in Canada. None have been better than Scissors. All of my appointments at the Scissors hair salon in Guildford Mall have been good. My current stylist is the lovely Alketa. She is very experienced and listens to her customers. Alketa never fails to please me. When I leave the salon, I feel like a queen.

My hair stylist is Lena at Guildford Town center in Surrey. She replaced another stylist who left and I am so very happy and pleased with the way Lena styles and cuts my hair. Last July I asked for a curly perm and she did an excellent job of making me beautiful. I received so many compliments of how wonderful my hair looks and it made me look younger. Lena is so good at caring for my hair, whether it's just a trim or a perm. When I am ready for another perm, Lena will be the stylist to do it. Hopefully she will stay at Scissors for many years. Her upbeat attitude and personality is great for the customer's needs also. And she has so many tips on how i can keep my hair looking great between visits. Great job Lena, I'm very happy with my recent cut also. Have a great day.

I’ve been going to this salon for the past 3 years & my hair dresser is Alketa. She always goes beyond and every time I get my hair done I’m always satisfied and so happy! Lots of highlights and always saving my hair from getting damaged. Couldn’t find anyone better than Alketa:)

I had my hair cut by another salon who completely ruined it but I got my hair cut and styled with Karina who works here and she came to the rescue! I am absolutely so grateful to her! Would definitely recommend, and that means a lot considering I’m very special with how my hair is cut and styled! I am due for another cut soon and can’t wait.

Good dependable place to get your hair done for Male or female. Prices a bit high. Most times they've got someone available walk-ins.

I went to Scissors for the first time ever today and it was an amazing experience to start with. I wanted to get a total change from my blonde highlights to a 100% new hair color i.e. Red! It's always a risky job to transform into a new hair color and Robyn did it so smoothly and wonderfully to me. It was an excellent job that she did and I am loving every bit of my hair right now. There is no doubt that it is going to be my favourite to go place for any kind of Hair service I require. Specially from Robyn!
