Quite disappointed that not one visit to this branch has resolved any queries or issues smoothly. No one seems to know what’s going on. Simple banking is made extremely difficult. My credit card was “lost” in the mail. Twice a sales rep was supposed to call me about opening an account and never did. I’m always sent away if there’s an issue and it’s taken up to weeks to resolve. I had to teach the service desk how my credit card rewards point promotion worked. I’m not sure if this is a general Scotiabank issue or the branch in particular.

Great bank and branch. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable. Looking at some of the reviews on here, many times the bank is following regulations or compliance with their partners, and they have no choice - such as holds, fees, etc. My experience has always been positive.

I asked the manager to help me lift a hold on my paycheque, and she refused and absolutely ruined my Christmas. As well the cheque hold didn’t lift by the time she said, so I have had to wait 9 days to access my paycheque leaving me screwed for my rent as well (she knew this as well). What a heartless beast.

No help.
I spoke to a manager to get some help with some tax stuff. He assured me the appropriate department would contact me in 24 hrs. It’s now been 38 days.
Avoid Scotiabank if you need assistance in this lifetime.

I came this morning to open 2 student accounts and Mark helped us out incredibly well. He was kind and respectful all the time and the process took less than we expected.

The employees completely disorganized and have no knowledge of basic daily banking! Do not use this branch if you want to do wire, payments or any incoming the employee will screw up whole process and then will tell you it is banking policy.
Messed up all transaction even they assured me everything will be ok.

Opened checking account & applied for credit card here. My advisor, Mark, followed up with me later in the day and consequently was able to solve a problem I had.

If you value your time, stay away from this place. Go to RBC or TD.

30 min on a phone to set up an appointment, 3 times had to go to set up the card.got the cards and after they canceled it. What a waste of time.

Unprofessional staff, doesn’t know what they are doing.

Truly one of the worst banks I have ever been to in my life. The staff do not have the basic expertise to help you with simple transactions.

If I could I won't even give it 1 star. Stay away from this branch. The most disorganized bank I have ever seen.

This location has great hours.but sometimes you will be amazed by how they just tell you flat out wrong information or figure things out on the spot with more than 3 persons involved in front of customers for some simple questions

btw. Any advisors can help with your TFSA, you don't need to go to the home branch

It's very nice inside and they have a Keurig machine with a great selection of coffee, teas and even hot chocolate available for customers while they bank =}

Extremely disorganized bank. I just had a simple credit card pick up and it was the most messiest banking i've experienced. They bother to call my mobile or home phone to tell me the credit card as arrived. They did not follow their own requirements checklist for picking up the credit card. Demanded proof of address rule which wasn't even a requirement nor communicated to me earlier. Days after picking up my card they contact me and told me to come back in because they FORGOT to collect a signature <Super face palm in face>.

Was having trouble redeeming their 300 dollar new customer promotional offer but Taylor the manager was very helpful and ensured I got it in the end, great guy and good service!
