This is very Shocking but Truthful to say that Scotiabank can be Rated as the Worst Canadian Bank Ever! I have been a Customer for Decades, with Mortgage that was then changed over to another Bank. I only kept their Credit Card since I had an Existing Account in the last Decades. In addition, Scotiabank would always Send me Surveys for Referrals, and I did recommended friends and families. They would also include in that Survey a small questionnaire upon my service at the visited branch on a specific date.
The Branch on Columbia Street was walking distance to me In New Westminster, and of course times were different to now, so I was able to walk into the branch, and arranged to transfer my Existing Credit Card Balance to a "Debt Consolidation Loan" and I Locked it in for "Four Years", even though the Payments were Much Higher.
That Loan was Effective from September 2018 on a Monthly Basis to Month of September 2022 and HAVE BEEN FULLY PAID. Now in the Chaotic Year of 2022, I Encountered Few Additional Fraudulent Loan Payments that were Withdrawn from my Account, with the Descriptive Remarks Stating "Payment Funding Ontario Loan" I was Beyond Angry and Extremely Disappointed to Learn of Such Dishonest Transactions. I have Approached many in Branch Visits, and One Particular Branch Decided to take it upon Themselves to INQUIRE, and was Advised to Let me Know They Do Not Know What Happened. THIS IS SHOCKING! It is Still Unsolved. I immediately Closed my Account last Summer of 2022 and will Never Ever Bank with Scotiabank.

Don't bank with people who will freeze your bank account for political dissidents.

They charged me $ 4 to close my account, only debit and haven't used my card for 7 months. They use your money but charge you when you want it back. Scam. Feds need to investigate this bank.

Went to exchange some coins for bills and the lady was acting like I was doing such a disservice and being such a burden to her. It was like pulling teeth. I'm only giving three stars, not one, because I've had much better interactions with different people there. Now I'll just avoid that one rude lady
