Very slow customer service, big lineup and lots of people behind the register but no one wants to help

Went to resolve an issue for a friend, The Manager Sunny took case up personally, listened to our issue, went ahead and sent all necessary e-mails to appropriate departments to help.
Best treatment received by this young Manager, (This young Man is going places). Not to take away from the staff, we were welcomed into the branch by a young gentle man, who was courteous, and helpful.
Folks if you looking for good Bank and Branch, look no further go to this Branch, you won't be disappointed.
P. S.the staff were all 10 when it comes to best service.

Most unknowledgeable staff work at Scotiabank. They don’t know your problem just keep passing to each other at the end problem unsolved.

Customers tend to leave a negative reviews only, but it is clearly that the branch mgmnt and the staff are professional and friendly.
Nice customer service, fast and efficient.

I applied for a credit card online. It comes out that the application system crashes every single time no matter which browser you use. It will come back with an error message asking you to go to a branch. I was unlucky to pick up this branch. They made me wait for an hour just to tell me they could not see me the day I went to the branch. Such a waste of time. Besides, the lady who “helped me” ask me about immigration status when she saw me.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Over the last 18 months I am banking with Scotiabank Kingsway Branch and I really want to appreciate Kay for always helping me with all the Banking needs. She is the always the best.

Never enough tellers, over 1 hour wait in the lineup. You make millions annually but can't hire enough tellers? Shameful.

After sooo many bad reviews I read for all Scotiabank locations around Vancouver/Burnaby I ended up choosing this one because it is closest to me haha
The service I got was nothing but 5 stars to be honest.
It was the first time I needed a bank draft so I had some questions about how it works. All my questions were answered very friendly and patiently. Also had my first BC tax return cheque to hand in and they also printed a void cheque for me. Everything went really fast but not rushed and I felt well taken care of:)

No service. No hospitality. Not helpful.

Whenever I came here, always being told to come back on the other dates. Been coming here for 3 times already now.

Came for an appointment, had to wait for more than 1 hour.

Definitely not recommending Scotiabank anymore.

It took me a while to write this review but it was always in the back of my head to write it. I went to this branch just to pick up my credit card which I applied for through another branch however it turned out to be the best banking experience of my life. When I entered the branch all the reps were busy helping other customers so I was told to wait but this amazing front desk lady Sookie Kim called me over and said maybe she could help. Not only she got my card activated and everything super quick but explained everything about my banking needs and helped me understand how I can get maximum value out of the package I’ve got with Scotia. The original branch did not tell me anything and I am really disappointed about that but she explained how I can utilize the free savings account I have, the USD account, perks on my credit card, mobile app features, and everything.
I recently moved to Canada and I am new to the banking system here, all the information that she provided was super valuable so I am really impressed with how she went above and beyond to help me with all of this. Thank you, Sookie.

All of the staff are so nice. They tried helping me closing my account (because i'll be leaving the country) since there was a problem, even if it took long, a teller named Prima really took her time to help me and tried every way she could to help, and in the end bank account was closed with no problems!

Thank you so so much Prima! I will always remember you and your kindness:) Bless you all to the people in this branch!

Services provided at other branches for some reason are not able to be done here. Went to another branch for several years without any issues, but this branch proved unhelpful and lacking in general customer service.

Branch manager was super rude despite of the mistake made by the teller. Just don’t visit this branch for any transactions. Never had such a bad experience with any of the branch managers.

Bank manager VERY rude and speaks down to you as a customer. She froze my account without even telling me. It’s the end of the month and Christmas. How is this branch still operating? I have spoken to everyone from fraud to specialists who say there was no reason to freeze the account in the first please. Taking your banking business elsewhere.

Teller was friendly but I'm upset as they gave me misinformation. I was told to call the fraud department to remove the 'freeze' from my credit card, however when I called the fraud department (and waited one hour) and they said the branch had to be there with me to call fraud to remove the freeze as it was blocked from the branch level. I'm having a really poor experience as a first card holder from Scotiabank - likely will not get any more products with them

Incredibly terrible service. Definitely worst branch in canada. They need to learn how other branches to do.

Worst services ever.
They don’t have any system to track international transfers. Customer has to run around with no solution
