I visited the branch today and received exceptional service from Pearl. I had a made a payment into a closed account and she took the initiative to call Visa on my behalf to ensure I receive my refund in a timely manner. Thank you Pearl once again for your help.

I intended to discuss the account issue with the manager (lady) of this branch. However, the manager approached me with a raised voice, addressing the matter loudly. Since the issue remains unresolved, and I got solved with other branch, so she suggested that I visit another branch, stating that they are unable to assist with the matter here. What a ridiculous service. I did not even hear a sorry I can’t help with this matter.

This bank is small with a big problem: bad customer service.

Came in to clear some stuff but two staff was busy with a customer. There was the 3rd person situated by the door, we aren’t sure if this person was a Scotia rep or not or just a security desk guy…Didn’t even bother to greet or ask us to come over after coming in and waiting in line.

This 3rd person (black dude) look at us so we went over but I like to verify before we give him any sensitive info.

We ask “are you a Scotia rep here? ” He got triggered and tell us to ask “are you a bank teller” we like isn’t that the same thing?

Anyways, with his bad attitude we prefer to wait for the other tellers instead and never coming here again as the others seems to be unhelpful.

We dislike Scotia Banks. They need better training.

We using the bank machine from now on at least it doesn’t have an attitude…

Super unhelpful staff. Had a few documents (the passport, the DL and my Candain PR) that needed to be photocopied and stamped with Scotiabank seal (process is called Attestation). Any local banker has the authority to do that and since I am a Scotia customer for the last 8 years I went to Scotiabank. I needed attested copies to open an equity account in an Indian brokerage, for which because I can’t send the original docs, I needed attested photocopies. The receptionist acted as if I am using the photocopies for some really nefarious purposes (which I can’t imagine) as soon as he heard ‘Indian’ brokerage. He tried for 4 min, before refusing saying he is uncomfortable and directed me to check with home branch, which is far away. I mean how unhelpful can one be. Forgot to check his name, but he is the first person that sits to the right as soon as you enter the branch. Hopefully he gets educated on what attestation is so the next person to go ask for that is not outright refused, and treated bad.

I visited the branch today and received so BAD customer service from bank teller MORIS. He didn’t assist me to escalate and solve my banking issues. He told me “this is not your home branch and you have to go back directly to your home branch”. Well you guys are in ONE BANK, ONE TEAM and that how you guys treat client. If client’s home branch in Toronto, Do they have to flight back there for problem solving? So disappointed how one of big bank treat client like this? Deserved 0 Start if there is option 0. This employee MORIS should get fired.

Loved this new branch. Great staffs, Xin Gu, Morris, the receptionist guy. All great staffs and very comfortable with this branch location.

Worst service in the world. Will cancel accounts. Terrible! Walked across the street to TD and had over the top excellence.

On the way to the T& T with Scotia beside but the woman near the wall came and served with a unwilling attitude and tried to end the conversation quickly. At the end, my queries were left dangling when I departed.

I want to highly appreciate Patricia at this branch for just being human and kind, especially towards the elderly clients. I saw Patricia genuinely helping a client at the bank with patience and kindness and she is truly a testimony to a great service. Little gestures like these goes a long way and can make someone’s day worth living and remembering. Once again, great job Patricia, this world needs more people like you. #PatriciaJustBeingHuman

I deposited cash that I just withdraw from another bank, the black guy asked me the proof of source. I gave him my receipt from withdrawing. Instead of keeping the copy of receipt, he tried to keep my original one and said that is policies.ask me bunch of question before go through my profile and check.such a bad customer service. I came back later to deposit cheque with the same amount. The Vietnamese guys took me just 5’ without id or signature. I am doubt that what does it use when people need bank to keep their money?
