Avoid this branch if you are a business. Extremely poor service. A recent issue with potential fraud has left me concerned if this bank is at all capable of properly securing my finances. The phone agents for both Fraud and Business are extremely hard to understand due to hard accents; it appears I am dealing with off-shore call centres and would prefer to deal with someone in Canada.

Customer service is absolutely not knowledgeable about online banking and access. I was at this branch today and asked for help. They pretty much told me I need to try harder or call the number in the back of their card. Now I’m on hold for 45 minutes with their 1-800 number. What a pain in the neck!

We want to give a thumbs up and five star review for the great service we received from the staff at the Scotiabank in the Nored Plaza 6750 Island HWY. We had several requests that needed more than the usual amount of time and they were able to complete them all successfully and they did it with a smile. We left with a smile! Great job. We would definitely recommend this bank.

The customer service of this bank sucks, can’t really solve any issues. Always asking customers to go to the branch where offers short business hours which is very inconvenient. I’ve updated my address last year but they still mailed the new card to my old address. Re-mailed my new card and it took forever to receive it. Since they made a mistake first, they could have made an exception not mailing my new card as a regular mail. They should’ve provided me the tracking number.

Hard to deposit cash when you’re atms are the worst atms I’ve ever seen, mint condition bills not accepted. Hours are terrible, and they take a good fee for everything I do and yet cannot afford good atms?

I have been unhappy with this branch of Scotiabank since it opened. Its location is wrong and it is difficult to access without a vehicle. Not close to bus stops either. This is not a friendly branch either.

I have just completed one loan on March 15,2023. This has been a 5 year loan, with automatic payments coming from another bank. The very last payment, on March 15,2023, was not taken out of the bank for some reason and I cannot find out why this did not take place - there was money in the account!

I have received many phone calls from the branch regarding this (unknown) lack of payment. The 1st person I spoke with had a very heavy accent and I could not understand what was being said.

I went into the bank and was told I owed $4.12, which I paid and have the receipt. Now, I have received letters from the Director, Unsecured Lending, stating that I owe $4.13. WHAT IS WROG WITH THIS BANK. I signed the letter of release for the Assistant Manager for the insurance that I had placed on the loan, I have gone to their tellers, I have spoken with a Financial Advisor AND now I receive letters from Unsecured Lending.

This is Harassment gram this bank! I amorally upset! Do you really think that I am going to drive to the North End of town to pay. 01 cent? If you can't get your act together I seriously question staying with this bank.

Absolutely wonderful Bank, perfect location as well as the customer service is top notch! Made switching banks a pleasure as well as I'm going to be changing my company banking with them now too! Highly recommend them to any and all for banking needs.

Horrible bank. Went in there to have a clients cheque certified (the cheque was written from this exact location). The teller had no clue how to certify a cheque and took 10 mins to get assistance, then I was told they couldn’t certify the cheque, (they implied the funds weren’t there) but I was pretty sure they didn’t want to certify it because they thought fraud? I had ID etc. Still refused to certify and told me to get ahold of the client and have them call in. I went to the Scotia bank in Parksville and they certified the cheque without any questions. If there was a minus 1 star, that’s what I would be leaving.
